Can ETHW still survive?

A crypto fanatic on youtube said ETH pow will survive and many projects will build on it some months ago, I don't remember his name anymore but he is a popular fellow.

To my surprise new projects are still building on the old Ethereum ( ETHPoW ), few of the projects are successful through funds raising but I'm curious what makes developers to keep building on an outdated chain.

I think that you shall stop to watch youtube just only to see garbage streamer like that. Eth pow already dead and it has no demand anymore in the market. Those youtubers were only shilling and no more. If you keep believing with those youtubers and you must be dumb enough.

They were not having long term prospects. they were building based on the hype and once the hype gone and those projects build in the shitty ETHW will be dead too. I think that you must learn what happened with project build in the ETC

These projects are just trying the attitude of hit and miss. If they hit and get the back and support of most in the community, they'll make a quick buck.
But if they don't get the support many in the community, they'll still make a quick buck for any exchange where the old and outdated chain is listed. The reality is that we'll keep moving forward and most of the outdated projects will be left behind.

Because they are not. I mean why would they? Eth 1.0 was a dead end. NFT people are dealing with artsy environmentalists who want nothing to do with the pow, i mean they were already getting death threats for doing nfts.
The beauty of the whole Ethereum is that dozens of brilliant minds are building the same ship, if some rogue wants to keep on developing ETHpoW, go ahead, but there's a huge team of actual geniuses developing eth2.0 and L2 projects that chose it. That's because it NEEDs a lot of people and every specific skills to build something like that. And it takes years even from those guys to make it work. Why would some random rogue devs who think that good old ETHpoW is a way to go could be success compared to that? People saying otherwise have been listening the bitter miner propaganda. Bitter because they can't profit from mining eth anymore.

I see very few people on the forum that are interested in ETHW, I have also done some research on it and can say, ETHW should be interested and put on the watchlist for the next bull season. According to some news that I know, currently most of ETHW is being held by miners a lot and retail investors have sold out after receiving the airdrop and these miners are mostly from China.

Personally, I think there will be a big pump in the future for ETHW for miners to sell and you should note that currently binance is still holding ETHW but they are not open for trading.

I see very few people on the forum that are interested in ETHW, I have also done some research on it and can say, ETHW should be interested and put on the watchlist for the next bull season. Be careful.  I made the same mistake during the last bull market by holding a lot more ETC than ETH.  I still made a decent amount but I would've made more if I just held more in ETH.  

The thing is if you're trying to decide if you're better off holding ETH or a fork of ETH then always look at how the fork is performing against ETH.  There are ETHW/ETH charts in Trading View...  So if ETHW/ETH is trending up, hold ETHW.  If it's trending down just hold ETH.

I am certain that it will still survive in the future because the miners won't abandon it. But whether it grows and becomes big depends on many other factors. Like ETC still exists today but has not received any notable development. If you invest then be careful but if you are a miner can mine and sell them.

I never try to believe crypto youtuber at all. Most of them were always fucked their viewers. That's not even worthy to waste your time. ETHW was only a forking blockchain being issued by miners. These miners are loosing income from ethereum caused by it has been migrated into the POS so these miners were trying to create their own ethereum that used old consensus as a way to get money and make their rig alive. The price of ethw already plunged a lot. There's no reason to buy this shit scam coin issued by greedy miners.
There are two old ethereum ETC and ETHW. ETC is much more viable compared with ETHW. ETHW is pretty much the same like bitcoin fork coin issued by miners. The developers are only aiming for hype.

Hype = money. Once you can get the hype and you can get money easily without any effort. that's the main aim for those developers keep used the old garbage blockchain like ethw.

ETHW has no utility at this time and not any project devolped under it but we can expect good improvement in ETHW in future. Proof of stake is good movement but still need lots of work to be survive. I hope we will see new best Projects under ETHW in feature.

It may as well die but I think that this coin is the new ETH,if you remember back when ETH started in 2016 it was like 3 dollars kinda like the price of ETHW is now and soon it skyrocketed since the first all time high.I am actively mining this coin now that the difficulty is super low at less than 300 T as you can make nice amounts of this coin daily and hope the best for the future.No one knows the future but if it happens that this ETHW to follow the same footprints of the old ETH,everything will be great for the people who bought or mined this coin.

And it's supported by some of the rather larger exchanges like Kraken and Bitfinex.  That's huge for the longevity and staying power of the project.

Well one could say that ETC was garbage as well so i don't see any more point with ethw. I agree that it can't be compared to any btc forks as it's more like eth2.0 is a fork of ethw. Yet i can't see any sensible developer building anything meaningful on top of ethw. There could be some devs trying to cash out with the community support. Because obviously ethW will have SOME community left that support it and would like to buy if anything gets developed on it.

Improvements for what? i didn't even see any reason for improvement to happen with that garbage blockchain cloned by miners. Miners were only using it as a way to get loads of money to funding their mining facilities. I don't see any urgent release that scam fork coin other than being a money bag for the miners. Miners are so greedy pretty much the same like scammers but they were blatantly issuing the scam coin like that and spread hype to make sure people wanna try to buy that.
It's basically nothing like any other fork coin in the market. there will be no improvements for sure and it will survive without any volume next year as people will be dumping their shit scam ETHW to the market.

Thank you for reminding me, but I mean ETHW is just an investment in my venture portfolio, safe investments are bitcoin and ethereum they are completely unrelated. As I said about the future of ETHW, I am not sure but to make a profit and leave afterwards, I think ETHW will be more desirable than other top altcoins that's why I chose it. Even though ETH has moved to POS but ETC and ETHW really still can't compete with ETH, that's true.

Oh..  yeah for sure.  From a developer's perspective, ETHW is def a dead end.  Lol.  No way any project gets massive attention in the space if it's developed using ETHW.  And at the same time, no way any serious project will even choose ETHW.    I'm talking more about the market and the longevity of the coin as long as it's being supported by a couple of the bigger exchanges in the space.  As long as there's some possbility that it could trend up in a bull market, there def will be people who want to hold and trade it. 

It's all about number go up.  But I bet you already know that.

That indeed could happen and as in trading aspect i undertand that mentality. I've made so much money with the coins i don't even know what they are supposed to do. When i don't believe the fundamentals it's easier to sell your bags on the right time as you aren't emotionally attached or in any way delusional.

But i still in my heart believe that if you pick the right horse, preferably with low marketcap, that has good fundamenals it could turn out as it did for early ETH holders. Low marketcap coins without fundamentals like ETHW are on the other hand optimal for calculated swing trading.

That's why Ethereum did an update because they want to get rid anymore of proof-of-work on Ethereum. So for me, ETHW will be forgotten. As you can see the price of ETH, when hard forked started, just keep falling. Right now ETHW is top 80 of the highest market cap.
This will just be the same what will happen on other hard forked coins on Bitcoin, which will be vanish slowly.
