Can ETHW still survive?

I don't dare to make any statements about what ETHW will look like in the future but I don't think it is outdated, it is still a representation of the ETH POW version. Many people love ETH but they are disappointed with ETH upgrade and they decide to stay to support ETHW, that's why ETHW is still being built and developed more than what ETC did. Currently, ETHW holders are mainly miners and exchanges as most of the investors sold when they received the airdrop. In my view, there is still future for ETHW as they are backed by old ETH miners.

A crypto fanatic on youtube said ETH pow will survive and many projects will build on it some months ago, I don't remember his name anymore but he is a popular fellow.

To my surprise new projects are still building on the old Ethereum ( ETHPoW ), few of the projects are successful through funds raising but I'm curious what makes developers to keep building on an outdated chain.

Any thought?

I think it wouldn't be easy for ETHW(pow) to survive when all mojor investors have shifted to ETH (pos) but still some crypto analysts thick that pow system is less risky not so vulnerable to hackers. The price action of ETHW is reflecting that market is not much interested in old technology which also consumes huge amount of energy, hence cause high energy cost.

The demand for ETHW coin in the market is very low whether ETHW can still survive will depend on the amount of investment bitcoin and ethereum are generally reliable currencies for investment. Even if these currencies are low in value, they will survive in the market and the value will gradually increase. Best projects for investing in currencies based on competition ETHW coin on the market is staying very low the chances of going up are very low.

Your point of LUNA collapse happened because it was built on proof of stake concept ( easy to print tokens on pos as much as you want ) is convincing to some extent but I think FTX & LUNA  collapse happened because of irresponsible corporate behavior and lack of government regulations to control such misconduct and fix it before it happens and millions of investors lose thier life time savings.

I am sure, very soon, we will see tough regulations from concerned authorities to prevent LuNA & FTx like crisis.

I think it's safe to say that it is outdated because there is a new version that is out already and the majority have moved with it. For those who can't moved on and like the old eth well what can we do?

They are free to stay there if they want to, but for those who are truly a fan of eth, they will accept its new form because this is what the founder wants for his coin. They are willing to show their support until the end. If there are people who got disappointed then I think it was mainly about the price. I'm also one of the ETH supporters, but we're here to make a profit, so I won't pass up any opportunity if I see it. ETHW is not comparable to ETH as the founders no longer support it, this is true but does not mean that it is outdated and unlikely to be pumped in the future. The miners are considered the biggest sharks on the market, so with their support, anything is possible.

Buying ETHW was the biggest mistake that can be made by someone. That fork coin was a very bad coin to be bought/ it's only an alternative coin issued by miners to get funding to keep their mining rigs alive. The price is always going to the bottom.

ETHW may die very soon as there's no interest to buy it anymore. The only stupid people who keep buying that shit for sure. LUNA and ETHW was different case but the fork coin issued by luna was also worthless coin too.

Both were only having similarly in the useless fork coin that being created. There's no future for ETHW. The ETHW shillers were only liar.

So far, 3 Bridges, 8 wallets that support this coin, 10 Dexs, 5 NFT marketplaces. Which is impressive IMO without VCs support.

Proof of work algorithms has proven to be effective in decentralized consensus even though their many proofs of stakes theorists discredit pow the major point is in the area of energy consumption of the proof of work network and it environmental impact, even though there have been many successful projects that are currently running on the pow network and few to no result of success have been recorded in the proof of stake network which is centralized and risk giving up the transaction confirmation to a few whales who may have the highest stake in the network during the transaction. But with advanced technology in the area of energy generation and conversion of carbon monoxide into other helpful environmental products that are used for other products such as agriculture and the rest of it.
This has given a new direction to the whole proof of work discussion!

On what basis are you so sure about ETHW? You know it’s a fork coin, and just go to check it’s 24 hours trading volume then decide about it, because it’s actually trading volume will be 1$-2$ million usdt, people’s aren’t interested with this shit coin and i think it will be worthless within a few months.

What people are forgetting when they are making the calculations for it is the fact that just because there is attention to it, doesn't mean its a buying attention, could be selling too. Miners want to keep ETH pow and they are doing it via ETHW which means they already lost it at ETH already, so they are on backup plan. Now this means they want to mine and sell what they mined and make a profit for it and we all know that it means a selling attention. They want to promote it with the money they make so that people would buy it, but what could be any reason to buy it after all? So it doesn't look bright at all.

meaning you are holding ETHW in your pocket mate? as you are waiting for the Bull coming this way for the project? well as far as the market is still bearish there is no way that we can assess what truly comes , but at least we can check it from happening when the bull starts to spike and shows how good future this coin has as fork coin mostly not succeeding comparing to the main.

You are confusing; there is no official fork happened when ethereum adopted POS algorithm and I guess that ETHW was some fork from crappy devs like how we got lots of bitcoin forked coins when segwit was activated. Because, in my exchange wallet I found some ETHW balance equivalent to my ETH balance but the value is very less to ETH or ETC.

ETC is the only fork which is being referred as ethereum classic and there is no new one happened in recent times. Please correct me if I mess up anything regarding these. Thanks in advance.

though the trading volume is still very low(comparing to other potential coins) but yes the ecosystem for this project seems to be booming and there are more support coming , but those are not enough to expect this coming high in the days to come.
maybe wishing is better but never invest too much for bigger expectation because this might be played by whales and just waiting for another dropping .
