I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

This is probably one of the greatest upsets ever on the sport and maybe one of the greatest upsets ever regardless of the sport, I was watching the game but it was late already so I only watched the first half, and with Argentina ahead by a score and having such a command over the game I went to sleep thinking they will score at least twice and get an easy win, imagine my surprise when I woke up and found out that they lost this game, and if I am this shocked I cannot imagine your state as you went all in and lost it all.

It's an stupid decision to go ALL IN on a sportbet. If the outcome was so sure, bookies would never allow you to bet; they would suspend the bet in such cases. In football, it happens a lot of times. I myself have lost a lot of bets betting for the favorite and low odds. I would always recommend you to bet with small amount instead of going ALL IN. In football, it takes less than 2 minutes to score 2 goals.

Maybe your are right, I made a grievous mistake and am really regretting it, to see that odds on Argentina was 1.13 while odds on Saudi Arabia was 16.0, the gap was really much, and considering the fact that Argentina is a top team, well known in the world of football, like I said, I had absolutely no doubt they would win, this is a big lesson for me and I've learnt it in a hard way, sincerely, my mistake was being so sure without a second thought, maybe if I had a second thought, I would have imagined what could go wrong and betted with an amount I could loss without shaking.
But then, lesson learnt, it's a bad day.

It was really a big upset and for sure not only you, but a lot of fans of Argentina and even the whole country itself is very disappointed with the outcome of the game. Argentina has difficult time scoring against the the Saudi.

And this is the classic example of an upset, in any sports we have seen this. And as a bettor who lost big, most of the time we think that something really colluded against you to have this big lost and thinking of quitting gambling for good.

One of the most common line on which people could really say on the time that they had lost money with gambling.You cant really make assurance even if the odds were too far away specially if its heavily the favorite one.
You should always bare up into your mind that there's no such thing about 100% assurance or sure bet even though it do really looks one sided match.We do always have that so called upsets
on a particular game which it cant really be that possible for it for you to go all in just because you are sure or get in line with those money line but its not.
Sorry for your loss and you should be wise on taking up some bets on the future.For sure this isnt the time you would be quitting.

I already said, you are not the only one who has suffered losses. because on paper, it is clear that Argentina is a strong team and has an impressive record without defeat in its last 35 matches. and in this match, Argentina did not show its true ability.

This is surprising, Saudi Arabia put up quite a fierce resistance. there is nothing wrong with your betting choice. even the eyes of all corners of the world will choose Argentina. and if we refer to the statistics that Saudi Arabia has, they are not an equal opponent.  IMO, two goals were annulled by the referee and one by VAR. making Argentina's game look rushed, and quite sloppy. So they lose concentration. in the end, Saudi Arabia was able to capitalize on its momentum. this is football, as long as the game lasts 2 x 45 minutes, anything can happen. unfortunately, you and I have bad luck that can not be avoided. we both lost the bet.

I've lost also on this one which no one really had anticipated that Argentina do really plays like that way, its true that it is somewhat sloppy or something not just right.
Im aint saying that they did it on purpose but you can really see that there's something off.You cant really just accept that a strong team had beaten up by none.
Basing up on paper then it is really obvious as day on whose gonna win but ending up on the opposite but well im already get used to it since upsets

I think the main thing here is that you should just keep betting and know what you're getting into when you do. Although, it's never a bad idea to take a break for a while when you've lost some money.

No doubt, there will be some losses you will have to go through, but that's a part of the gambling process. Just make sure you don't bet too much on one team and hope for the best. If that doesn't work out for you, then learn from your mistake and move on. Love it or hate it, the gambling process is a part of being an sports fan. It can be fun, entertaining and even educational. But most importantly, it's just another way for you to connect with the game you love.

If you want my advice, avoid betting on this world cup matches as am sure we will see more surprises especially in the group stage.
I encourage you to take a break for a while and never try to chase losses as we all know how it will end.

Same here sir. My disappointment and devastation is boundless. This is one of the greatest defeat of all time, it was unimaginable that the all mighty Argentina would loose to an unrecognized side like Saudi Arabia. But this result is why the game is called gambling. It is a very risky game that is mainly associated to chance and luck. Today was not your chance to win and mother luck was not on your side. Taking a time off from gambling to recover from the shock and loss is a very good decision to avoid health or other negative issues.

I am sure most gambling companies would make so much gains from this Argentina-Saudi game. I think we should also be prepared for more surprises during this world cup.

this is why it is always best to use money that you can very well afford to lose. by the way, the argentina-saudi match was really a very big upset, so the OP was not the only one who lost big time on this match.
OP should take a break and maybe recover his losses not in gambling, but maybe additional jobs where he can earn money. he lost money here, but he has still his lifetime to earn that money. don't go to the path of depression. think of what you've learned on this, and move forward.

Well in this case sometimes things like this happen and it's hard to believe that it will end for Argentina to lose.
Actually, it's not only you who feel defeat but me and even many more who lose in this match, but maybe the difference is that you are all in this match.
I don't want to blame this, but it's true that all in gambling because being overconfident is also not true, especially since things like this can happen sometimes and hopefully this will be a good lesson for you.

Sorry for your loss Argentina really disappointed most people today, Saudi Arabia shouldn't be a difficult team to win for Argentina, I didn't gamble today but am sure most people that gambled and picked Argentina VS Saudi Arabia match, most of them are going to lose, because everyone believe Argentina will definitely win the match, but unfortunately things changed and Argentina was diffited even with Messi playing the match.

Sorry about your loss. I know the kind of depression it can give if you lose and staked with high amount of money, but it is good to just use small amount of money which will make you to be at the safest side. Do not chase money in gambling, chase fun. I will advice you to just quite for a while and find a better strategy of using low amount to bet.

If it was money you afford to lose, I think that as soon as you get other money you afford to lose you should bet again, even small amounts, to keep the games more exciting.

I think lots of people would be in a similar boat you you. Frankly, it is more accurate to see Saudi Arabia paying bribes to secure their victory than it was the hosts Argentina, but it's something that will never be known - flukes do happen as well. I'm not sure if the Saudi team will get much further, as now everyone will have their guard up and Argentina might have been taken by surprise in underestimating their opponent. In fairness it is close to their "back yard" and they will be more acclimatized to the current weather than most other teams. This is why you must always keep your bets low, because great upsets do happen - just look at Italy who never made it in.

This is one of the reasons why I don't concentrate more on football matches. It can be very disappointing seeing the team you think is going to win a match because of there past matches and formation, everything ending in a big disappointed that cam be very hard to believe. Football matches always full of disappointed that is why I don't put much hope on some team on winning even though they have strong team and impressive past records that can make us see the match as a big opportunity to earn more.

That's why it's gambling and not sure things.  It was a crazy game and I'm sure vegas took home a lot of money on the SA win but those are the breaks.  Time will pass and so will this games memory.  Don't go all in on something and you won't have to get bitten like this.
