I think I am one of the unluckiest gambler/bettor out here, today is one of my worst days again and I think I should quit betting.

I went all in on Argentina thinking their match against Saudi Arabia would be an easy win for them, and the fact that the odds were so far away against Saudi Arabia winning while it was in huge favor of Argentina caused me to be so sure that Argentina was going to win the match, and then, I went all in, hoping to make some big wins just like yesterday, but now, everything is gone, in just a twinkle of an eye...
Argentina is a big disappointment, It's still hard to believe, I quit betting until I am able to forget this experience entirely.

Sorry bro but I think as a gambler this should be a normal experience. Bro I feel your pain but I don't think you have to quit just because of one major lost. If some of us gamblers tell or show you our losses in gambling, I think you would be surprised how this person is having the guts to even say the word gambling.

For me most times I experience great lost I just decide to take a cool off the gambling market and relax my nerves and I think that's what you are doing now.

But not to worry it's totally normal to experience such loss because thats the whole concept of gambling. You can just experience only winning just as there can be only rain some season their is going to be sunshine so just hold on for the sun to shine on you bro.

It was a big surprise to everyone. I mean Argentina been the Favourite having the likes of Di Maria, Julián Álvarez, L. Martinez, C. Romero, N. Otamendi, i don't want to involve Messi who is at the front line of blame. Argentina were just playing to have fun, the were just enjoying their time after the first half penalty win making mistakes in the second half. The most shocking part is that Saleh Alshehri's goal was the very first attempt Saudi Arabia had. The second from Salem Aldawsari was a big Argentina's defensive flaws.

I have vowed to keep my bets affordable because any one can lose even England, Spain, Portugal and Brazil and France isn't excluded. OP wanted something huge but it turned out the opposite but if he had won the story would have been different . OP just needs to take a break and resume when he has accepted the loss.

Well, in this case, it's a little difficult when we are so sure that we forget that all possibilities can still happen, especially in this case, we also couldn't expect the final result to be like this.

So many gamblers betting on the world cup matches should calm down and study the games played by a country before placing your bet on them because I see this world cup as a game that is unpredictable since the football big countries are losing to the small countries which is quite shocking.

Argentina and Germany has made gamblers to loss their money due to betting for them.
OP you should go for a break in gambling as you said so that this will make you come to conclusion if you will be gambling again or not. Don't use money made for other important purpose to gamble instead gamble with the money that you can afford to loss

Expect the unexpected is a thumb rule in sports, it maybe fixing or just happened as coincidence which is the reason why we should not be relied too much into the favorites in sport betting.

I don't think this was match fixing because Argentina didn't play like a team that wanted to lose that game. They played very well and if it was any other day they would had won that game but it wasn't just their day as all their open play goals got cancelled for offside. There was even a goal that was meant to stand as the player been used to determine the offside wasn't meant to be used since there was another playing keeping the Argentina player on side.
The Saudi Arabia team also tried their best as their defense was quality keeping Messi out of possession and not allowing him time on the ball to carryout match winning passes as he usually does.

They lost it means they are still not good enough in this match. Talking about Offside is clearly something that deserves to be discussed, especially when their 3 goals were annulled in this case. but indeed what i see is the opposite they know the saudi arabia players apply this scheme but they never even see anything else even they are always hit by this trap again and again even 10 times they are hit by the same trap.

On the other hand, I am quite aware that there will still be some surprises, and one of them is this match, which made most people who bet have to lose their bets.

If you are not addicted to gambling you can quit  betting but if you addicted  forget about quitting it,you can only say it but hard to do. Just know the chance of winning in gambling is 50 to 50 no matter how the odd small like. And again don't always use odd to pick games whenever you want to bet, always do your own  research by checking the statistics and the current performance the team at that particular time.

This is something I must admit that I am guilty of, and that is using odd at times to pick games, I do this mostly when I am confused on which team to pick, but you would also agree with me that, if a gambler did their own research on this Argentina vs Saudi Arabia match for example, it clear that the gambler will pick Argentina to win the match, but then, look what happened ? this shows that even research, we can still be wrong at times, and this is where luck comes in.

And for the records, am not an addict gambler, I've not gambled or placed any bet since I created this thread, and I don't have any plan of gambling or placing any bet anytime soon, until I recover from this loss which I must admit have affected my business significantly.

You would really be able to cope up easily if you dont treat gambling as some sort of living.Things do becomes shit and since we are dealing with something unpredictable then odds or chances for different outcomes

could really happen this is why its always been suggested that you do make yourself prepared for these situations so that you wont really be having that regret and blaming out yourself on the bottom.

Lots had already anticipated that this is a one sided game where people do make full bets or all in for Argentina which even myself do see the same thing.

Heads up, bro. I understand your feeling since even upset is usual to happen, the match between Argentina and Saudi Arabia is something really unexpected as even looking at all sides, Argentina has everything to win that match. Saudi Arabia, despite football/soccer being the most popular sport in their country, doesn't even have a good history playing at the FIFA World Cup that's why they are always the heavy underdog in the majority of their match here.

If you want to chase your losses on that match, it's your decision.

It's not totally wrong to chase losses as long as you clearly understand what you are doing. Maybe you just decided to quit betting because of the frustration but if you really want to push on that and the same feeling still emerges after you moved on to that loss, then good for you.

you don't have to think too hard about this because I'm sure the majority of the bettors all chose Argentina but lost, me too. apart from Argentina, I was also annoyed by the final results of Germany vs japan and Poland vs Mexico.
So far there are only 3 teams that have scored more than 3 goals, that is England, France, and Spain - it seems that one of them will win the world cup this time.

Well that's what i mean to prefer betting against the odds always better ... the hurt feeling when you know that you are losing the bet on a 1.1xx even worst below that odds , it hurts ... really hurts i knew it especially if you do it in full confidence and allin! Gambling isn't meant to be cheap and too simple though... Even the prediction process is hard and needs extra carefulness and focus. I personally believe that this whole gaming ordeal is just all about being lucky; I don't think there's anything like EXPERIENCE, that could help you predict which club to loose or win, as the case might be.
I've seen several times and those dudes; the call themselves "bet lord" -- will predict games for others and refuse to bet 'em.... They'll be like 'pay for the game first before getting 'em' ....like WTF am I gonna pay for something you're not even sure of?

Things like these happen all the time. One minute you're sure that the one you bet is the one that's going to win due to the odds and H2H then all of a sudden, you will be surprised that the underdog gets the upper hand on their match. IMO odds aren't everything that you have to consider when taking a bet. If 2 teams haven't fought against each other in a long time and it's their first time playing together again, chances are the ones generally considered to be an underdog against any other teams might not be the case when they are against this particular team.

That's one way to build up your gambling anxiety, but you can still take some W's you just have to do a lot more research.

For now, distract yourself from things that reminds you of the loss and reinvest your time to something else that would be beneficial to you, like picking up a new hobby, or meeting friends and family that you may have grown apart with over the years. I also believe that most gamblers do not stop gambling even after tanking a big loss, so if you find yourself gambling again, this time create a foolproof plan that could help you mitigate your losses as much as possible.

We should never put too much hope in gambling. I'm betting that the amount he bet was too big for his budget, firstly because of the disappointment he had that led him to give it up for a season and secondly because when you are sure of a bet, you tend to bet more heavily. The fact is that if he had bet 5 dollars, like someone who bets a beer with a friend on the result of the match, he would not have been so disappointed.

The best thing he can do now is to stick to what he said, and not bet for a while.
