Why not? Just as people are free to gamble, they should be free to stop gambling for any reason as well, the bad luck the OP got was not small at all as not only he lost a bet that many people would have thought to be impossible to lose, but he also lost all his capital in the process.

If that is not a good enough reason to stop gambling for a while, or even permanently, then I do not what do you think is a good reason to do this, since it is not as if the OP can keep gambling as he bet all his money on the match, and as we know without money you cannot gamble.

First off, I am sorry for your loss, losing an all-in bet must be one of the worst feelings you can experience as a gambler. Top it all off with the fact that you are very much confident of the team you chose. Just goes to show how everything could change and happen when it comes to sports and betting adjacent.
