It is reported that a crypto currency exchange is operating with Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway's name and the Berkshire Hathaway Inc. has stressed it has no  affiliation with the crypto exchange neither does the chairman and CEO Warren Buffett

The entity … has no affiliation with Berkshire Hathaway Inc. or its chairman and CEO, Warren E. Buffett.

The company elaborating on the matter warned the public on Friday after the got notified of the crypto firm who is hiding behind the companies name to operate as a crypto firm.

The capture page of the so called crypto exchange claims it is a bitcoin exchange platform .

“Berkshire Hathaway is a Texas-based company created to give our investors the opportunity to achieve a completely passive income from investment in cryptocurrency mining,”

These organization is a part of some unscrupulous elements that are bent on giving the crypto industry a bad image. From all indications this is a clear fraudulent scheme. From what I gathered they are offering to give investors daily profit from their investment. And they are using Warren Buffett’s company; Berkshire Hathaway to attract potential prey they might think that the Buffet owns this scam company. You would be shocked to later discover that many people have invested in this firm because of greed and lack of contentment.

The issues with most of these firm is that law enforcement agencies would not start investigation and dismantle this scam site until people loose millions of dollars. Immediately people lose funds, anti-bitcoin forces would start their smear campaign with the failure of the scam scheme.

It's a bit hilarious to use Warren Buffett's company name to scam people and I pity folks who would fall prey since the business man, alongside his vice, Charlie Munger have vocalised their strong dislike for the cryptocurrency.

 It's quite a bad rep for Bitcoin and I feel Charlie will have a field day castigating the digital coin and this act could further sway individuals who have intentions of buying to pause.

Seems to me like a clear cut case of fraud and I'm sure it will be dealt with quickly.  Things like this are the only good thing about centralized services controlling the internet.  The website domain should be withdrawn from it's owner or traffic directed to a black hole while authorities figure out who is behind it and handles it appropriately.

It would be awesome if Warren Buffett changed his stance on Bitcoin but I don't think he ever will.  He's too rich to worry about missing out on some gains at the risk of his reputation.  Bitcoin might outlive Buffett, but I'm sure if/when it does say it's final goodbye, we'll be hearing plenty of warnings from folks like Buffett repeated.

Just look at the words in the banner, its really a dumb scammers attempt because they created an investment platform in the name of exchange so anyone who knows about trading can smell it is just a scam site so easily.

So its probably the same old group used to scam people with the name of exchange by sending PM via telegram and other social media handles and people who have no idea about cryptocurrency will fall for the name.
