Bad economic situation creates more crimes always.
Right now crime is going on and more need to spend for security so If the Fed and all others central banks Will turn off the printers it's not cheap becouse what they do with crimimals.

Soon many people need bodyguards and not good to drive Even in Western countries with flashy cars crime are rapant.

So anyways we all want safe life so we know solution we got to turn on money printers and make sure inflation not going high.

Back in the days people use to be soft more but now people cant handle dangerous surroundings.

If its related about looting or any theft maybe that can relay to a bad economy.
But if the security is the issue here I guess there is something worst aside from the economic status, maybe the government is not doing their best to control such crime and make the country safe. Tourism can be a good source of income but if the country is not secured for that, probably tourist will not come. The government should also ensure the safety of every people while dealing with the economic crisis, by this they can rise again at the right time.

While you have a good idea with your first sentence, your second sentence is an absolute mess and after that you really seem to lose the plot. Don't you worry about the richest people who are paying body guards for protection, because they certainly don't think about you and are more shielded than the average person on the street will ever be. I don't know what poor and corrupt country you are from, but even in the middle of the worst recessions people are free to drive in their flashy cars without fear in most western countries. First, because there are opportunities that the perpetrators can take advantage of against those who will become victims, and second, because there is still hunger among a group of people, so they choose to commit various crimes in order to get what they want in life. One of them is money and food, and it certainly doesn't look surprising in some poor and developing countries because usually job vacancies in poor and developing countries are not that many.

I was watching the content of an independent investigative reporter travelling through american cities to see how bad things were. When she arrived there was a man lying on the sidewalk spasming, while surrounded by discarded needles. Overdosing on whatever drug. She interviews one of the city residents and they say that its normal for them to have around 5 people overdose and die in the streets everyday. She interviews a local business. Across the street a store is being robbed. The business owner says its normal for them to be robbed 3 to 5 times everyday.

It is possible everyone underestimates how bad things are getting in big cities in the united states.

America didn't see this type of wholesale homelessness, crime and violence until the economic crisis of 2008. But now it seems that things are getting worse. Its bringing out the worst behavior in many. Hopefully it will also bring some good, although I can't see much indications of it.

Of course it will, every human need food and water to survive, if they can't get a job to earn money, what does they will do to make them survive? they will do anything in order to get it, like become a beggar, become a criminal, a scammer etc. They're being forced with their needs, it's just shame how rich people don't want to make donation for them and teach them to earn money. I couldn't agree with you more on that, bruh. These things happen as a result of greed inherent in man. Where I come from, our leaders take advantage of economic situations which in some cases they create just so they can benefit from.
 I think crime comes as a result of two occasions;
1. Where human beings are naturally not satisfied with what they have,
2. Those who feel cheated of what's supposed to be rightfully theirs .

It's not uncommon that at any time someone would do that, steal, cheat, and even kill (criminals) to defend their stomach and interests. In a 3rd world country, crime rate is still same no matter how bad the economy or not because the majority of people living on this country already experienced the worst due to the government corruption. I think this ideology is only applicable to rich country that the distribution of wealth is fairly distributed or the government can give assistance to its citizen.

The only time crime rate increased on 3rd world country is when drugs that affects the mind of people to do bad things due to poverty increase too.

Bad economy is already an incentive to bad habits and character to be exhibited. If an economy is bad it is likely also that it could be facing collapsed security system because there will be increased level of insecurity as a result of the people taking to the street to take advantage of the vulnerable and weaker people. Intimidation, molestation are going to increase and guns will find there way inside the country too. To survive the bad guys on street will see the insecurity as an opportunity to go into drugs and other illicit substances. This will make the situation worse to be controlled. There is need for the government to ensure that the youth find jobs to do because they are the active population and can go off the hook if not taken care of.

like in several other countries the economy started to get worse and some employees were kicked out of the company even though everyone needed money to survive while jobs were very limited and one way to make money was to do it by stealing.

In those rich countries, mostly, you can see a lot of illegal things like drugs, human trafficking, and killings. That is mostly what I saw in the news, and theft is not rampant compared to third-world countries. They are usually high on drugs or alcohol when they do this; previously, I only noticed thief activities at night, but now many of these activities take place during the day, and they are minors! They do this because of their needs, and that's how they survive, even now that the prices of foods are getting higher and higher, so they are really having difficulties.
