I would say that there's no way to get free bitcoin but there are some sites that will pay you a small number of sats to do a micro-task like watch an ad or something. The issue with these sites is that the amount of time that you would spend watching ads would be better spent working a job to produce something of actual value than just buying bitcoin with the money that you earned.

If you're still interested in trying your hand with these sites, here are some that I know of.

Fold, Lolli, Bitcoin Co: If you're in the US, there are a couple of services (Fold and Lolli) that will pay you a few sats for doing something like spinning a wheel or coming back for a daily reward. These are primarily to get you to keep coming back to their app for a dopamine hit. It's short-lived and you can't even withdraw the sats until you have a balance of at least 100k+

These same services as well as the Bitcoin Company (https://thebitcoincompany.com) offer bitcoin rewards when you buy gift cards or shop with their partner stores online. All these services are doing is giving you a percentage of the affiliate commission that they earn. It's better than nothing but since they're really only available in the US, it's not an effective way for people around the world to stack "free" sats.

Hey Apollo: There's a new service called Apollo (https://HeyApollo.com) that I have heard of that offers 1000 sats or something like that to write reviews for bitcoin-related products and services. I haven't used it so I can't confirm.

Carrot: There is also a service called Carrot (https://earncarrot.com) that pays users to learn about bitcoin but I am not sure of the specifics.

Sats4Likes: You can use this service Sats4Likes (https://www.sats4likes.com) to do things like follow, retweet, and like tweets/accounts for some sats. This could be a good option for those who don't live in the US and are looking for a way to stack some free sats to be able to interact on Stacker News.

Stacker News: Finally, there is a news site that is quickly growing in popularity called Stacker News (https://stacker.news) and it has the same basic format and interface as Reddit but you have to pay at least 1 sat to post, upvote, and comment. This basically eliminates spam posts from trolls and nocoiners because they would have to own some bitcoin in order to shitpost.

If you post quality content on Stacker news, you can get upvoted and you earn the sats from people who upvote your content and comments. It's available anywhere in the world so even those who are in poorer parts of the world can still potentially stack some sats for commenting, posting, and contributing to the community.

That's about all of the services/tools that I know of that will get you "free" bitcoin but as the space continues to grow, we are likely to see more ways to get sats for microtasks.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the recommended sites but based on most of the comments on this thread I think it'll be better if I just dedicate my time and energy on learning about bitcoin first.
I'd still check out the sites though. Thanks.

This is a great attitude to have, and we highly suggest that you take the time to learn a lot about the technology behind Bitcoin. Of course, it's not an easy undertaking, but if you can make it through all of the technical jargon, you'll be well on your way to getting in on the action. Just remember to stay safe! Cryptocurrencies can be very volatile, and there are plenty of ways to get scammed. There are also many people who would love to take advantage of novice investors. Take the time to educate yourself about all of the different scams that are out there and how to avoid them. For example, if you see an ad on Facebook that promises to give away free Bitcoin, don't click it!  Wink

Whichever way you look at it, nothing is ever for "Free" in the real sense of it. Even in the past when a lot of people thought Bitcoin was given for free through airdrops or faucets, there was something those who gave it out benefited by doing that. Most of them needed their sites to be pushed out in form of publicity. In essence, something was exchanged for something. Your data and time for Bitcoin because some of them needed minor tasks done before releasing the Bitcoin.

I don't think there's a site that will give you Bitcoin totally for free rather you do some easy tasks earn BTC.
So with this site you will earn some sats but not really for free,  there are simple and easy tasks you do to get this sats as a reward, like visiting a website to spend some secs.or minutes.
For someone who doesn't have money to buy Bitcoin, this is a good site for you to start accumulating some Bitcoin.

It's somewhat impossible though (I'd say NAY cus most of them are fishy; marked with some ingenuity and at the end, it's unnecessarily time wasting.... )
You could actually do something like that..... I mean, FAUCETS and if the procedures to claim them coins after accumulating is doable, then it's fine but just imagine how long it'll take you to accumulate those coins so it's worth like say - 50dollars worth in BTC? You'll have to watch way more videos and play games untill it gets boring (sometimes, you get too busy with your normal job in reality so you don't find 'em interesting anymore, AT SOME POINT). This is actually something I took as an alternative but I don't think I lasted 3 days straight on that.... Lol.
Days are long gone where you could mine 'em coins by yourself; now, all you got to do is join the moving train, now that's not too late.

Okay so earlier I came across a site that claimed that it's possible to get bitcoins for free by just; playing offline and online games, watching ads and videos, participating in airdrops and so on. They also recommended apps that give out bitcoin for free  like coinbase. Bitcoin, ranked as one of the most expensive cypto currencies can be earned for free by just watching ads? Nah I just find it hard to believe cause I've seen a lot of scam related schemes that claim to give out bitcoin for free. I don't know, I might be wrong cause I'm still a newbie that's why I brought this here, to see if I can get some clarification on the matter. Thank you.
Playing offline and online games to have free bitcoin is possible, but watching ads and videos is the one I don't understand, how can one be given bitcoin because he watch ads and video clip, the thing sound scam and fraudulent. Participating on airdrop is also possible. The app doesn't look nice because fraudsters normally use apps to defraud people. What I will say is that scammers are looking for all means to dupe people at all cost so whenever thing you doing with people online be careful and if it is possible allow the person to render his service to you and when he has finished his service to you and you are satisfied then you can released your coins to the person with that you will not be scam aside that be prepared to be scammed because those niggas are not online to play with you. People fall for this kind of scam because they urgently and eagerly need money. But those who are not eager is hard to fall.

A few years ago, it was indeed possible to earn free bitcoin through various methods like playing games, watching ads and videos, and participating in airdrops. However, with the rise in popularity and value of bitcoin, it has become increasingly difficult to find legitimate sites or apps that offer free bitcoin. While there are some genuine platforms that offer rewards in bitcoin, it's important to be cautious and do proper research before investing your time or money. For instance, I was able to earn bitcoin a few years ago from a PPC website called adBTC, but I'm not sure if it's still legit now. So, always be vigilant and verify the credibility of any platform before engaging in any activity

lots of sites and apps that offer bitcoins for free, by just playing games.
but I downloaded the application several times like it's mostly fraud.
I haven't tried much, but I have tried several times, all of them are just scams, none of them actually pay, so don't be fooled.

This happened in the early days of bitcoin when bitcoin was struggling to dominate. I do not think that it still happens now. It is altcoin new projects that does it in the form of airdrop where you will complete some tasks related to publicity and you will rewarded with coins. Some might be useful while many atimes the coins may not worth it.

Nothing is totally free. Instead of seeking where to get bitcoin for free, you should instead try and aquire bitcoin related skills such that you can earn from the skills.

Why not, anyone can get bitcoin for free but it all depends on the source that is giving it out, sine it's a digital money there are many ways you can get it for free, it's either by begging for it, asking for it or receiving it as a freewill donation or gift, you can also create value that is sellable, render people or companies services whereby they can pay you in bitcoin, but in this case, you're not given for free but you've earned it, just like being paid on salary.

I think it's a waste if you participate in some airdrop, you gain coins but it has no value or it can't exchange with other coin and maybe when bitcoin started i think there's a free bitcoin when you bought 1 or maybe 2. bitcoin(when it's really low).

Now a days if you directly want Bitcoin for free then you should use faucets but it's not worthy for your time. There is an another way like joining airdrops from free. By joining airdrops you will get free tokens and you can convert your tokens by selling to Bitcoin. So I can say indirectly you can get Bitcoins for free. But remind one thing most of the airdrops are likely fake and you should analysis for best airdrops to get paid.

participating in airdrops and so on.
Back in the day, earlier 2017 was a great time for claiming free airdrops and get some good amount for doing simple tasks. In return, you would get some altcoin which you could sell for bitcoin. But these days, airdrops worth nothing. I haven't participated in any airdrop in the last few year, haven't heard any airdrop to give a good amount too. Anything you are looking for free, is a waste of time these days.

I don't believe there is an airdrop that pays well today, but even if there is, it will not be widely recognized or popular because in 2022, I tried several of them, like coinbit and others, but I couldn't withdraw even some of the coin I claimed. This could be due to a lack of understanding or knowledge of how to go through the withdrawal process, or it could be due to the fact that it is no longer functional, Instead of wasting time hunting for an airdrop to get free bitcoin, I advocate using your money to buy it.
I think we might see some few airdrops in the coming days but not as valuable they used to be back in 2017 when  projects give out free money to people.

Thank you.
Yes, you can get bitcoin for free by playing games. However, given the current state of affairs, the majority of airdrops may be fake or, even if you manage to win one, the process for claiming it will be different from what it was in 2017. Unlike when bitcoin was first introduced, fake links that promise to give away bitcoin for free are more likely to waste your time than to actually give you bitcoin.
Even if you succeed in earning the coin, the procedure you must complete before you can claim them will make you quite exhausted.

Currently one of the most valuable digital currency in the world is Bitcoin and it is never believed to give this Bitcoin for free. There are many online campaigns that advertise sweetly that playing games will reward them with BTC. It's hard to believe that such a valuable currency they will give just for playing the game. And there are many airdrops that claim to pay directly in BTC, all of which are false.

Basically they mislead some new members by saying this and ask them to connect the wallet to their website, as a result of which if they connect the wallet to their website, the access to the wallet goes to them and they grab all the digital currency in the wallet. So never fall into these traps of fraudsters.

Airdrops are related to altcoins. Most will give nothing or will give worthless coins you cannot exchange anywhere.
Playing games.. I don't know.
I have seen many airdrop campaigns so far most of which are scam schemes. And the tokens they give as rewards can never be exchanged in the market, so those tokens remain in the wallet. Where most airdrop campaigns are scams how do people believe participating in airdrop campaigns will reward them with BTC.

Nothing good comes easy, Bitcoin is the most expensive coin and the only way you can get it is buying it with your own money so that you can value to hold it for a long term.
I totally agree with you here. Buying it with his or her own money would make the OP value his BTC more than getting it for free because I have heard stories of people who got free BTC from faucets, how they blew it off and later filled with regrets because it never cost them anything, and as such they never treasure the BTC in their possession.
