It is also important to remember that while is true that shitcoins sometimes can give more profits than the top coins in the market, this is also heavily dependent on the top coins themselves, for example when bitcoin and the best altcoins in the market are going down then there is no point in investing in shitcoins at all as most likely they are crashing way harder, so if someone wants to take that risk then they should at least wait until the bull market is in full swing before they do it, and something as simple as this strategy is beyond most newbies and even some experimented investors abilities to execute.

I think that's a wrong approach. We are in a liberal world and that means greed is the key factor to unlocking the world to you. Being poor means that you can't do many things this life offers you, and during our age there are so many things that you could do which you fail to achieve if you are poor.

So that means greed is good if you can do it, if you are greedy and make money from it then it's a good thing, glad that you did it, I wish I was more greedy and took some risks for example, but if you fail at it and lose money because you are too greedy then of course it is a bad thing. That's the sort of situation I am in right now, not entirely sure about them all.

For poor person, they want to get out of poverty and succeed, I call it an aspiration, a dream, and to do that they need to work hard, try their best, and do more than what others do. Holding Altcoin is very risky than holding bitcoin, you could invest in altcoins but to me after some certain point you should sell it off and make a turn to buy bitcoin and get your mind relaxed. One thing I don't really like of alcoin is, if they are down you may find it difficult for it to bounce back to the previous prices, while some dies and never comes back anymore. Have lots of experience with altcoins so I don't put interest to hold them for long time and whatever profits you made from it can immediately converted to BTC since is the mover of altcoin.

I don't invest in shitcoin because of my proven and tested system. When I was new in the market, I keep finding the next 100x altcoin and it is one of my regrets because it made me greedy and lose my capital in my early journey as an investor. Anyway I stop it and I just trade good altcoins with my system and I'm glad that it makes me a profitable trader. There are a lot of hype altcoins and we should avoid it, for those people who keep riding the hype then make sure that the money that you are using cannot damage your psychology and it is just a spare money because most of it are scams where after the hype, the massive dump appears.

best to put level in your expectation and not over expecting , greed takes place once you desire for so much when you already have best , imagine already gain double but looking for more? then that is already greed and need to be changed .

A lesson worth $14k is too expensive but in the end it teaches you a lesson and hopefully you will apply it in the future. But what you are saying is only true for your portfolio filled with altcoins, those altcoins will go up again or never will. If it is bitcoin it will be different, investing in BTC you will not lose anything.

When a newbie focus more on bitcoin, his/her risk factor reduces drastically, but the same can not be said with altcoins, and from what ops posted, his portfolio does not contain bitcoin.

His portfolio is made up of 100% altcoin which most are just shit coins, so when he failed to take part in the pump period of the shitcoins he feels his greed has led him not to take advantage of the pumping period of those coins.

And it is great you can do this however not everyone can do what you can, in fact you are part of a very small minority, if you made 10x in two different projects then this means many other people had to lose money for you to obtain those profits, as that is how the markets work, the money flows from the bad traders and investors to the good traders and investors, and since that is the case then it is better for those which are not as skilled as you to take a safer approach to the markets.

You are good and lucky earning x10 mate but others are not , i must admit that I gained x2 so far from my investment and I think hitting 3 would be enough for me as of this run.

Depending the price and lifespan of a shitcoin it might worth to invest some bucks on it for speculative purposes, although it must be clear that someone doing this isn't exactly investing, but gambling with his funds, because as you said the chances it's going to work are really low. I don't know if any shitcoins' enthusiasts have already calculated how much they have been profiting or losing on long term, but that would be an interesting data to have access, so we could check how profitable the strategy of investing in such tokens can be on long term.
