The link above contains a login details that I recieved from a strange person as message. When I first saw it I already understand that it can be a trap from scammers if I should go on to see how true it is, I just had to snub the message because what was sent to me doesn't belong me.

I got scammed before now that's is why I'm able to figure out that the message to me was from scammers.

Yes, it's definitely a scam. I've been hearing about fake USDT mint and trading platforms for a while now. But I'm not sure this is the same as what you're talking about. They will often contact you via Telegram or Whatsapp and provide you with a username and password. As if by accident. When you log into the website, you'll find that there's an unusually high amount of USDT (of course it's not real) which you won't be able to withdraw.

They're using old techniques but coming up with new names everyday for scamming new set of people.

Quoting for visibility.

And yes, this is a obvious scam that has been running for years now. And it's good that you didn't fall for this trap. This could be like

1. you login and see that amount
2. however before you can withdraw they will ask you to deposit first
3. and that's where you get trap because once you deposit, you can't withdraw that amount

That's pure scam!!!
I'm just happy you didn't give out any response to that. These are one of the ways that people get scammed Everyday and, as a matter of fact -- when this people get scammed once, they'll live to learn their lessons from it -- they avoid falling into the same mistake next time. These guys are coming up with newly oriented ways to get peeps scammed of their coins so I'd advise that you keep whatever you have in you intact and don't believe anything you see on net.

Just imagine that....... That's ridiculous man, sorry for 'em losses -- you've learnt to contend, but I'm afraid that was the hard way though.

I decided to check to satisfy my curiosity. I logged in using the login and password shown in the picture. This was the page that greeted me.

I clicked on the "Output" button.

On this page it is proposed to enter only the amount for withdrawal, and the address is not possible to enter. From the drop-down list you can choose one of the two addresses specified in this list. It is not clear.

Okay, I chose one of the two proposed addresses and clicked on "Withdrawal". A window popped up prompting me to enter a secure key.

This is where the whole fraud scheme is revealed. A man, not understanding can enter a secure key from his wallet and... Goodbye to the entire balance.

I thought it was an old trick when you will hit the withdraw button it has a minimum amount that is required before you can initiate a withdrawal, so you need to deposit the required amount which leads you to get a scam.   But this is different now, asking for your secure key which is not given based on OP's image shown.  But is there anyone who falls into this trap?  It's obvious that it's a scam trap.

That's why we should always be vigilant in dealing with strangers people who send PM first.
There are too many ways how to scam naive people that new to crypto, but it has an advantage if you've knowledge on it.

Any message coming from an unfamiliar person should arouse suspicion. Ask yourself where you left your contacts. Is your phone number visible to strangers? Whether Is it allowed in your settings to invite you to groups? All these precautions are necessary to minimize the risks of clicking on all sorts of links that scammers regularly send everywhere.
Do not leave your contacts; why do you need strangers on the Internet who mostly have selfish goals?

Good thing that I never entertain this kind of scams.
A random stranger just giving you SMS with a login credentials that leads to a wallet with millions worth of crypto? Come on.
I had received plenty of SMS that even gets automatically marked as spam by my phone and regardless if it was marked or not, I would not click any sort of link from my messages.

This is where the whole fraud scheme is revealed. A man, not understanding can enter a secure key from his wallet and... Goodbye to the entire balance.
Someone that is desperate is likely to be one of the victim of these.

Only a greedy person will fall to this trap, no person will send a detail that has a good amount of usdt.  I know scammers use different strategies to get people,  but this one is too easy for someone fall for itt thinking is not a scam.  Receiving message from a strange number to offer to give money can never be genuine .

Oh, maybe people will think the sender mistakenly sent the message to them. 🤔 that's another one, greedy people will easily take the bait 100% .

I won't pity anyone that fall victim to this because it's easy to see that it's a luring trick, why claim something you never work for? Like I've said, only greedy people will fall for this scam.

Those that are greedy and thinks that they've taken a jackpot are the ones likely that will experience to be scammed by those text messages. They think that someone has mistakenly sent them those login credentials that contains money.

But yeah, the tactic goes by when they will try to withdraw the money, it won't be allowed and they'll be asked for a deposit and the cycle goes on until they'll realize that they've been fooled.

Yeah, you are right. I also think greedy folks are more likely to fall victim to this particular type of scam. Scammers would always try to up their game using different and new techniques to try and fool their prospective victims.

This particular scam is new to me as I haven’t exactly come across this type before. But it screamed scam from the beginning as why would you be sent a wallet supposedly containing a huge amount of assets that you have no prior knowledge of?

Receiving a text from a strange number with a luring offer to give you money does not just happen. No one gives away money for the fun of it.

your action to ignore this message is correct. because it is very clear that such messages are traps from fraudsters. which is even sent randomly to many people. I also ever received a message like that, maybe it can even be said that I often receive messages like that. The wisest move is simply to ignore it.

Some very religious people believing in the supernatural for financial breakthrough may refer to this kind of message when received as one of those unexpected miracles described by their preachers, I pity these persons. Thanks, for bringing this to my notice, I will be more cautious and be sure to ignore these kind of unexpected messages.

...
It triggered my curiosity too but after logging in and taking a look at the different features of the website am still not sure how this scam works, although am convinced it's a scam.
I don't think it's the security key which is used to scam (why didn't they simply call it private key!). Besides, I created a new account and fond out that you have to set the security key when you register. This is why I don't think it's related.

it looks like the scammer decided to combine two different scams together, the "enter seed phrase" scam and the "mysterious account with tons of money" scam(not sure what really the scams are called so I gave them a name). anyway, Glad, you took the time to look further into this scam.

it looks like the scammer decided to combine two different scams together, the "enter seed phrase" scam and the "mysterious account with tons of money" scam(not sure what really the scams are called so I gave them a name). anyway, Glad, you took the time to look further into this scam.

Yes, you are right. The scammer needed to be credited with the need to log into the account as soon as possible since someone else could do it earlier. Time limits, with the words "urgent" or "offer ends in 15 minutes," simply will not let the opponent think, and greedy people very often peck at such bait. I saw a friend send all of his money because he thought he won an iPhone by reading an ad and thought he was extremely lucky.
People need to introduce psychology lessons in the very primary grades, since scammers very often use the emotions of people who cannot assess the situation in time. Smiley

Scamming formats are getting new daily. @ Xal0lex was bold to open the link but the shock is the private key demanded by the scammer and for newbies who know little about how to secure their private keys will fall for that cheap scam. Sometimes one will see it as golden opportunity and out of excitement give out their keys to scammers. I still know of scammers who use diabolic means to woe their victims one just has to be extremely careful.

Most of the time, such scams are common on the Telegram network, in which an unknown user will message you and refer you to a clone website or exchange seeking your assistance to help him/her aid withdrawal claiming he/she has exceeded the limit, and will also promise you some certain percentage in the money, once you accept the offer and decide to withdraw the funds, they will ask you to deposit to your wallet and that's when the scam comes in, let us be careful as scammers have various methods of duping victims.

I still know of scammers who use diabolic means to woe their victims one just has to be extremely careful.
Heck i never believe in such things, i have heard it quite a lot of times from different people; but imo such a thing does not exist, the thing is that people who are moved by avarice do stupid things, and these things they do, more often than not gets them scammed, they even fall for the most obvious of scams, thus after falling for such scams and having lost all their money, they then come back to their senses and realise how stupid they were to have been easily deceived in that way, and the only explanation they can give is that diabolism was involved, but it wasn't; it was their avarice that blocked them from thinking straight.
