Hey guys. I was just curious if most people actually modify their .conf file. Do you set a limit on the connection? Do you set up rpc info? I was thinking of connecting it to a Ledger device. Any neat ideas on that? Thoughts?

I didn't manage to make my bitcoin core work with the Ledger HW, but I also didn't spend too much time on that, since I do prefer the way Electrum works with Ledger.
Hence after having Bitcoin node, I've also set up an Electrum Server (well, a block explorer too) and I use now my Ledger with Electrum on my local Electrum server over my local Bitcoin node.
I've documented my steps, including the bitcoin.conf contents, here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5367296

Some things may have changed slightly since then, I may double check one of the days...

Hey guys. I was just curious if most people actually modify their .conf file.
I've modified it to connect with Electrs and C-Lightning.

Do you set a limit on the connection?
What connection? Listening connections? Both listening and non-listening connections can be up to 125 by default. I don't find a reason to change that.

Ledger already has some guides on connecting your Bitcoin core full node to your ledger device why not read the documentation on how to set up your Bitcoin.conf file?

Here's the link below.

Based on the documentation you still need ledger live and satstack to connect it to Bitcoin core and it's currently experimental but I guess it would work.

Cool thanks for sharing. I'll have to look into that.

Yes same here. I couldn't get it to work with my Ledger. It keeps giving me error.

I have read their stuff but it doesn't expand into what to put in the .conf file. I figured out to set the rpc server login info in there but still didn't work. I also tried connecting my ledger to my Bitcoin Machine aka Umbrel and same thing, didn't work
