Does anyone here day trade crypto successfully whilst working a full time job?
Can't really say I'm an active trader myself because I just do it whenever I want, it could be once every month or once every bi-weekly depends on my emotion and mood so I can do better when I decide to do trading on that day. I also have a side job with web programming stuff besides of doing trading, it's not a full-time job but still having 2 important stuff to care is really time-consuming and use your brain capacity to maintain.

Those of you with normal jobs, are you day trading or mainly long term crypto investors/ HODLers?!!
Pretty sure if you have full-time job and don't have time to check everything 24/7 then your best bet would be long-term investment, DCA, or any similar kind of strategy for more comfortable.

it's just about how we can balance our time between our main job and work in crypto as a trader.
I also do both of these jobs well and in accordance with the portion of time for each job. Usually, I do crypto trading after finishing the main work. like 2 divisions of work time for the main job and the crypto job.
Nothing is difficult as long as you manage your time well so that you find the right time rhythm so that each job can be done to the fullest. I do
work in the company for about 12 hours a day and the rest in crypto.

It all depends on the nature of your job, if you have a demanding job, you will barely have enough time to eat let alone engage in trading crypto which is equally demanding and time consuming.
Am not a trader but I am working and I understand how tasking it can be if your job is a bit demanding. For someone to be able to do both successfully, it means their job is very flexible.

Actually, my work is not flexible because when I start to enter the main working hours around 12 hours, there are no activities that I do including crypto, I focus on my main job.
But when the main work hours are over I start to focus on crypto work including this forum. Whether you have time or not can be arranged, but if your main job has a lot of time to spend, it will be difficult to balance it.
All of course can be arranged according to habits and how to manage your few free hours.
No job is very flexible, everyone must have hours that cannot be filled by other jobs.

Time management is always the key. No man is too bisy if he really want to achieve something. I am currently having a regular job 10hrs a day. Within the same interval I am 'sneaking' activities in this forum, then when I got home, I do trade for a couple of hours. Is it tiring? Ofcourse, but I guess it is worthy of my time. Also, there are rest days for a pause, I don't and I won't do this 24/7 so I'm good. The only downside is that, I am not able to travel regularly, or do other stuffs such as meeting my friends on a daily basis but I do set a certain date for it during my rest days. Things are well balanced on my end. Trading is risky indeed, but luckily I am quite earning from it so I decide to continue this routine, and guess what, I'm on my 8th month already.

I really advise against day trading, even the supposed experts can get it badly wrong. All you have to do is look at FTX for a recent example, it’s a very dangerous game. You can quite easily go underwater & make it even worse chasing losses.

Your best strategy is just to buy regularly & be willing to be patient, wait many years & you make big profits. So far in crypto it has proven to be a very profitable strategy.

Many people underestimate that trading crypto is something that does not make and waste money, I have friends whose lives from forex trading since 8 years ago, and he can get greater income than working in the office, now he focuses on trading crypto and he tells a story Have a profit of more than $ 5000 a month and have loses with a greater value.
Of course, If you have a vast experience in trading, It is very possible to make a living on it. Either forex or crypto, Profit is very possible and there are many people who's main job is trading. Losses is inevitable in trading but a good and experienced traders know how to properly manage their funds so if a trader lost a trade, I'm pretty sure the losses will turn into profit in the future depending on the current market situation. I myself tried daily trading and but I personally think it isn't sustainable on how I do things. It will all matters on how you control yourself and what kind of lifestyle you have. In my case, It is better to have a stable job with stable income rather than going full time on trading. Treating trading as a side hustle better works for me.

if you are still entering the 8th month with these activities, then I am taking longer.. this year has even entered the 6th year with the same activities by dividing time for the main job and working as a trader and being active in this forum. Even though at first I wasn't used to it, but now it has become a routine that I often do. Regarding good time management, we will find the right rhythm to manage time for the main job, side job in crypto, and for rest time. rest is very important and don't work 24/7 because it's the same as killing you slowly, quality rest is very important. Before continuing to work at home as a trader or be active in forums, I took a break to get fit again. and of course there are holidays like you do too to refresh the brain.

Does anyone here day trade crypto successfully whilst working a full time job?

I have medium experience with trading crypto and over the last few weeks have been mainly using the TradingView scalping indicator from https://cryptochiefs.io with good results. The problem is that I find it really difficult to manage the trades properly whilst working as they move fast any normally require that I am watching the screen. Kind of thinking I either need to forget about the idea or scale up from where I am and go full time.

Those of you with normal jobs, are you day trading or mainly long term crypto investors/ HODLers?!!
If you are obtaining good results then this is not the time to give up but it is also not the time to scale up your operations and give up your job either, without a doubt doing both is hard but you need to keep this going for at least a year, this way if you were just lucky then you will eventually see this in your results and you will still have your job to earn an income instead of depending entirely on day trading, but if you can maintain this over the long term then you can begin to think about trading full-time and give up your job at the time.

The market is volatile and unstable, and there is no guarantee that the transaction will always be profitable. Choose a combination of work and trading, manage the time of work and trading correctly, and make long-term transactions in your free time. Trading can't be profitable all the time, secure a regular income from a steady job to have enough money to trade and hopefully profit from both.

Online trading is commonly used as an official job, even when I was in college a few years ago I had applied for work for the position of traders on the Futures Exchange, Forex and so on, now the presence of crypto trading certainly makes it easier for anyone to become a professional trader and deserves to be the main job.

As a full-time investor, first of all, you must have a certain capital and good performance before you can consider being a full-time investor. Otherwise, you are likely to give up, because you need to bear too much pressure, just like the pressure on money is everyone's biggest worry.

When you are a full-time investor, you have to think like a boss doing business, and then make your funds bigger, how to manage your funds well, and then keep making money (win more and lose less).

I got my first start this way. I was still working at a job and then I started trading at the job, thankfully crypto exchanges at that time wasn't banned, and people were putting money at everything and we were small amount of people back then in the crypto world so when you saw a new thing get listed, you would end up with it going 100x easily, and I would see them here first on bitcointalk, and then I would buy them p2p and then I would wait until they are listed, most didn't get listed but the ones that did would make me thousands.

Unfortunately, I didn't used that money to buy bitcoin and hold, I spent them, but assumed I would continue to make that kind of profit and eventually quit my job, not making same amount of profit, but I do survive at least.

I have been unemployed for several years since 2014, and I got serious about this industry in 2015, and with God's mercy and help, I somehow managed to survive. And my start here was doing crypto trading before I got into this bitcointalk forum.

Until now, this crypto trading is what I do to get a profit at least in the day trading method. Sometimes I also do scalping when I'm in the mood, but I rarely do it.

I'd think it was possible? Stop losses can be set up after all though you won't be able to take advantage of most openings if so. There's also the existence of bots so really, if you have the necessary knowledge then I think it's rather doable. In those cases I don't really see the necessity to drop off your job, you can just look at it as having a guaranteed source of income and a not-so-guaranteed source of income. You can also just check and buy during bottoms and consider it as long-term investments, aka selling them after a year or two, or whenever the market seems profitable and would drop off again.

You're not talking about trade, you're talking about hold. These are totally different things. Some people, apart from holding, regularly trade intraday on the exchange using margin. That is why it is impossible to hold money in a personal wallet. I think there is a separate deposit for that and the trader takes all the risks associated with holding funds on the exchange. I also have a deposit on the exchange to trade in addition to coins in my personal wallet.

As I can say I have been trading since a long time, but probably for me day trading is still the best option even I'm also doing a full time job but I gave a little time to trading. I know it is too difficult to do day trading with full time job but still I has some confidence and have some knowledge about the trading as well.

You are right about giving it more time because he only have a medium experience so far as he only started a few weeks ago. We don't know maybe this is just a beginners luck and we are still in a bear market. He may need to be exposed first in different market situations so that it won't give him a shock which can affect his trading performance. What he can do for now to lessen his burn out is to allocate lesser time in trading. If he don't want to, then he can try using a trading bot.

This should help him automate his trades in the background while he continue working on other things. In my opinion, a full time job is still better as they are more stable and had lots of benefits over trading so I won't drop him, no matter what.

In my opinion, you should consider trading as your main job only if you are very experienced and have a good balance, as well as additional funds as insurance in case of major market drawdowns or losses in trading. Any collapse in the market and a trader can turn into an ordinary unemployed person who is left without means of livelihood. If someone wants to be engaged in trading and live at the expense of income from trading, he should take care of an additional source of income in case of market force majeure.

Does anyone here day trade crypto successfully whilst working a full time job?
I am not and I am failed to do it. A successful day trader will commonly need extra time and energy to work. If we have been working fulltime outside and then also focus on the daily trader regularly, it will really make us exhausted. Although the result may be promising because we can earn so much money, but, we will really lose energy, time, mind, an also focus. But,t his will also depend on different people. What kind of person you are? If you can really manage your time very well, no need to have long hours to be back home after work, and the full-time job is not kind of job that really stressful and tiring, you may be able to do also day trading. And it may happen if this is not kind of full-time day trading, but only daily trading to earn money.
For me, I am focusing on my job and als long term holding. This si less risk and also not really exhatisng for me.
