I think Bitcoin has no options when it comes to investment.  Because if someone was asked between bitcoin and ALT coin should you invest, I think everyone would say to invest in bitcoin. Because Bitcoin invests in a trust that no other coin can provide. So I would always agree with investing in Bitcoin.

For long-term holding you can consider holding bitcoin, the altcoin is not the best choice for a beginner and since you just want to make gains you need to be very careful not to get deceived into investing in some quick pump-and-dump scheme called projects with promising future I can't refer to any project as promising because altcoin future is a gamble since most of them a just speculative and high-risk venture so you need to.
- set your priority right, what you want via what you will get and when you will get that expected result.
- Most altcoins can promise you X amount of profits in a certain time, but the possibility of having that reality in what is not certain and guaranteed

you definitely could choose both, most people who invests into bitcoin also invests in alts so that they could increase their returns, you simply allocated your small amount of money into alts and you're already have the chance of generating higher returns. It's just that simple, moreover if you already allocated most of your money in BTC, you could have the flexibility of moving over your investment in alts and doing it for short term.

That's true. We don't need to stick to just one if we want to maximize our future gains with our investment. However, let's keep in mind also that investing in alts are more risky compared to investing alone in Bitcoin. Thus be aware of this fact before trying to diversify your portfolio.

Bitcoin is good for long term while alts are ideal for short term. Hence have plan and be wise as an investor to achieve your high profit goal.

we all have the same thoughts and beliefs in crypto , that why need to put our all eggs in single basket when we can segregate them for safer place?

Buy bitcoin with high percent but also Buy altcoin for another resources , there are so much happening in crypto space when altcoins are increasing while bitcoin decrease  and that is the point of letting it stay for several coins.

Buy or invest our money in other coins because that way we can get bigger profits,
but with the note that the coins we choose are quality coins,
that's why it's important to do your research first.

Lol I will never let my money sit just in other coin because I will keep digging for Bitcoin and my support is 100% in this , I would rather put all in bitcoin than putting all in altcoins.
this is why diversification starts to join, put the big part in sure investment like bitcoin  and just buy  other coins for added opportunity .

Short term investors definitely choose will altcoins, because it’s quickly up and down where BTC looks like good stable, this is reason so short term traders will not choose BTC, also it’s a expensive coin so small investors can't profit to invest here. But you will consider about safety then of course BTC is the best than altcoins.

Of course, everyone will think the same way when it comes to determining that bitcoin is the best investment for now and can't be compared with the others, of course. you are right, bitcoin has a very high trust value, it has become the most preferred and most trusted investment to date.

Altcoins are not suitable for long term holding, or rather such altcoins are very few and the chance of guessing in this casino is very low. Look at the top 20 three years ago and you will see completely different coins, with the exception of a few. So for long term investing it is really better to choose bitcoin.

Not every investor will choose Bitcoin only for their investment although Bitcoin is the safest crypto coin. It is because altcoins offer the opportunity for bigger potential profits. We know that altcoins are more volatile, the values can increase more significantly. People who expect bigger profits, must try to invest in altcoins, too. I also do it, I don't invest in Bitcoin only but I invest in some crypto coins to optimize the chance of profits in the future. I think there are many people who diversify their assets, too.

Diversification doesn't need to be a thing within crypto world, it could be a good idea outside of it but doesn't mean I am going to do that neither. What ı mean is, when you want to diversify, you don't have to do; bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, avax, matic, sol. That would be diversification as well but that is within crypto and you don't need it, because bitcoin is already doing all the good that crypto could do, I would suggest just bitcoin is already enough.

However, I would understand diversification as in some of your money is in stocks, some in gold, some in crypto, some in real estate, that way you actually do diversify and that at least has a meaning to it.

If you are looking to invest then I would definitely recommend investing in Bitcoin. Because investing in bitcoins is low risk but investing in alt section is definitely high risk. At times many platforms go up for auction due to which the entire balance is more likely to be lost. In this case, there is no possibility of complete loss if Bitcoin is invested. That's why I recommend to invest in Bitcoin and if you want to trade here you can reap the benefits.

Even though it sounds and the truth is correct, I think there is nothing wrong if someone chooses Altcoins to make investments, but in the sense of keeping Bitcoin as the main handle and the most important investment, using Altcoins as an investment to seek luck results, actually there are also good Altcoins , even though the quality and interest are not the same as Bitcoin, in terms of choosing between Bitcoin and Altcoin it is a consideration according to each individual, and basically the price and value of Altcoin is influenced by the price of Bitcoin, and makes Bitcoin the main one.

You said altcoins aren't recommended but you assume ETH is good for a long-term investment. I don't know what you are thinking about. Those statements are contradictory.   

I think altcoins are okay for a long-term investment as long as you choose the right altcoins. Both ETH and BN are trusted altcoins and they have strong fundamentals, so why not hold them for the long term? I also invest in these coins for the long term, I hold them for at least 4 years. I no doubt hold these coins for a long time because they have been proven as top coins for many years.

though it is best to put the large amount of course in Bitcoin but considering good moving and safe altcoin is also best option.

for long I have manage to believe and earn in Diversification things that brings me what i have now.
