Bitcoin or Altcoin is a very good question when the market is bearish,
I prefer to buy altcoins than Bitcoin because in terms of price we need large capital if we want 1 Bitcoin,
but in altcoins we can look for altcoins with a low market cap with a pump potential of 1000x and yes I choose altcoins.

Choose an altcoin that has real potential and can be done by doing research first,
with $ 800 you have to be smart in managing it and it can generate big profits,
investment for the long term obviously Bitcoin is the choice and for the short term choose altcoins.
I saw investors that have made money from investing in Bitcoin, they're okay to invest that amount and even more for altcoins that could make them a lot of money.
It's more of a gamble than of investing because it's just a short-term thing. Some really make huge money but mostly don't, those that are making with these altcoins know the risk and it shouldn't be associated with emotion or else, they're just wasting their resources and money from these coins.

I prefer to buy altcoins than Bitcoin because in terms of price we need large capital if we want 1 Bitcoin,
That's always the common thought of many that you're all required to buy 1 bitcoin but in reality, you can DCA and buy mbtcs or bits of it depending on how much is your goal.

When I was new in this crypto world I preferred to invest in altcoins, but the longer and when i was more experience i prefer to invest in bitcoin because I felt happier with smaller returns on safer coins.

I agree with you that Bitcoin has a low profit rate but is considered the safest and most reliable crypto currency in the market, but for small investors there is no significant profit to be seen here.

In my opinion, if someone has more capital, they should also invest some part of their investment in altcoins. While it is very important for small investors to invest in low value coins but make the right choice based on their knowledge and experience, because the risks are higher in altcoins, but can give you huge profits at any time, and you can reduce the risks by making good choices.

it all depends on what strategy you do. Personally, I'm focused on bitcoin and popular altcoins. this is because the potential for bitcoin and popular altcoins such as ethereum is very large at this time. my goal is Halving. I think the halving will have the same impact as before, and when the price of bitcoin goes up, the price of popular altcoins goes up too.
Why I'm still focusing on popular altcoins, it's because of their lower price than bitcoin, and the potential to have bigger amounts.

I choose Bitcoin for now because currently the price of Bitcoin is predicted by many experts on Twitter that $ 50k is on the way,
and it will most likely be reached in September and I'm sure it can happen,
I also like altcoins but for now I prefer to hold Bitcoin for big profit in september.

I recently made some money through Amazon Kindle Direct Publishing, and I'm considering using it to purchase some Bitcoin. Only a tiny sum, roughly $800, is involved. What do you suggest doing right now? Purchase some Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with a promising future.

What replacement coins would you recommend?

depending on your choice,
1. a definite profit for the long term
if you choose this, then you should invest in Bitcoin, because in my opinion Bitcoin is very good for the long term investment
2. Big profit with big risks too
if you choose this, then you have to invest in altcoin, because the risk of investing in altcoin is very high, but of course the profit you can get is very big if altcoin that you invest are successful and altcoin that I recommend is SAND and KLAY (this is just my recommendation and you have to DYOR).

There is probably no long term investment in altcoins right now, because altcoins don't have a long existence. New projects are constantly appearing on the market to replace other coins. Although I guess the profits with the right investment can justify any risks.

Now you say that altcoins have no future because prices are falling,
but during the bullish 2021 which bring altcoin pump, everyone said that altcoins have a bright future,
why should it be like that? isn't it when we are bearish we can start buying altcoins at low prices?

I always like Bitcoin. But besides Bitcoin, I like to invest in Altcoins most of the time. I believe that investing in Altcoins gives more profit than Bitcoin. Just as there is a possibility of more profit, there is also a possibility of loss. But profit in bitcoin is less but loss is not that much in bitcoin. If you ever lose then if you wait few months then you will get back the profit with your invoice.

Totally agree with you that there are still many traders who are new to this platform. They put more of their attention and investment into altcoin than Bitcoin. The main reason for this is that people think that the profit rate in altcoin is higher than that of Bitcoin, but those who gain experience or those who are experienced investors prefer investment in Bitcoin over investment in altcoin.

In altcoin, the chances of getting profit are high but the chances of loss are also very high. While Bitcoin is the single most reliable crypto currency, the rate of return may be low, but the risk of loss is negligible. Investors in Bitcoin are always confident and calm.

BTC or Altcoins? of course now I choose Altcoin and I want to win, at a low price like now it will certainly be a good opportunity to gain up to 100x profit.'
some altcoins with good fundamentals are also being dumped. Full investment in cryptocurrencies when the market situation is still a dump will certainly be very risky,
so we'll have to wait until it calms down.

well not all altcoin investment are such gamble usually those altcoins that have partnership with big venture capital always ended up somehow having their value raised to the next level.
not to mention the fact that their listing in various exchange has been ensured, it's just matter of time until the project become big, but because of that also arise some other problem
like the chance of getting whitelisted for investment is slim, that what makes the price could be going up so high right after listing because the demand is there but the supply is low.
i think it's pretty okay investing in such altcoin since honestly the rate of successful is tremendously high.

Bitcoin and Altcoins are in a bad trend, and even good news has no effect on altcoins,
for example good news from China, even though it is very good to start a bullish trend, but bearish is still very strong,
so if you want to choose an altcoin or bitcoin investment according to I wait until the market is being consolidated,

If you don't have any bitcoin your answer should always be bitcoin.  I'd work on compiling some bitcoin and then slowly getting into alts.  Depending on where ypu go with alts you could end up losing your entire stack real quick.  Don't get lured in by all the promises of hitting it big on your first go around.

If you buy 1 Bitcoin, you really need a large amount of funds, but if you are really interested, we think we can do DCA to buy it. Maybe for those who buy Altcoins they choose to trade in the near term.

Bitcoin investors are old investors because they already have more profits than bitcoin,
because we know that in 2015 the price of Bitcoin was still at $ 500 to $ 1000,
and of course investors have hold Bitcoin from that year and sold it in 2017 and 2021,
and now 2023 I'm sure the whales are accumulating buying bitcoin again.

You know, There are almost no big business use blockchain for their oprational process. Because blockchain technology is still in beta. The only real usecase in crypto is the security as a store of value, it is easy to send, easy to keep and hold and self custody. So i will say BTC will be better place for investment then any other coin. It is most secure and decentralized network in the world
