This has already been inculcated by the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender El-Savador, they distribute books and bitcoin is been taught in schools, we also have alot of private industries and corporate individuals that has been into bitcoin education in teaching others, there are schools as well in countries live United Arab Emirates UAE that has been adopting bitcoin education in their school curriculum and many countries where bitcoin is been accepted as a legal thing to do, we also have the online platforms like this where every information needed about bitcoin can be sourced.

Do you understand that this will not be taught at the university?? The university doesn't teach you how to start a business, they don't teach you how to become an entrepreneur! Although it is very important, I think! Therefore, no one will teach at the university how to use bitcoin correctly or which exchange is better to choose! Because no one needs it! But in general, as for cryptocurrencies, I agree that training in this area is necessary and very important, since not every beginner can immediately figure it out.

As a special field defined under programming field or something like that, it is a good idea to add bitcoin and blockchain technology but not as a general field or course in schools or universities just because bitcoin is going to reach mass adoption some day.
At the end of the day you don't need to have a technical understanding of bitcoin in order to use it. Bitcoin is like any other technology, you can use it without knowing how it works academically.

Not a requirement, but more of an extracurricular program. Because currently, we cannot find human resources who have thorough knowledge of Bitcoin easily. In big cities it may still be relevant, but even then if the government has a program that does refer to information and communication technology majors.

Even though today knowledge of bitcoin is very important (especially among Bitcoin users who learn everything from scratch) they think that the knowledge taught in schools about Bitcoin is important. Unfortunately, so far we may be able to find the program in Nigeria and several other African countries. The idea also emerged based on the awareness of the Bitcoin community. Even in El Salvador, Bitcoin adopting country I have not found that there is a Bitcoin education program in their schools.

Bitcoin is already part of the education programs in some universities that study software engineering and informatics, including mine. I've seen it being mentioned in discrete math and described in cryptography in detail. I don't know about colleges that study finance, but I bet they do too. I don't know in which angle, though, because most macroeconomics professors teach mostly Keynesian economics.

The education program on bitcoin is more related to economics or any course that has financial management, it could be very common on that level. But I think at a minor age, bitcoin education is not right yet there are too many things that they must learn that are more related to economics. Billboards --it's been already there, in my country, there are too many establishments and places that accept bitcoin payments.

Without knowing much about the context of the article you have refer to, I doubt that is a good idea or even a plausible one. Education system are prone to bias, especially the ones that are designed by the government itself. Recently, it looks that many countries are researching and planning to implement a CBDC, so if they incorporate bitcoin and design the curricula to suggest bitcoin as a superior form currency, it doesn't make any sense.

Blockchain technology and cryptography subject can be found if you're taking computer science degree. However if you mean Bitcoin is used for investment, there's a subject about financial investment in general that can be found if you're taking economic and management degree. IMO it's better to teach Bitcoin as investment or the utility rather than the technical thing, because majority of Bitcoin adoption are because Bitcoin is used for investment.

Some high schools or universities in my country have done that. In fact, they also cooperate by introducing through a special place in a special room at the university. They have not yet entered specifically, but they have provided education through pamphlet seminar activities.

time will come one day that it will be added by schools but not really a requirement. there are college courses probably that will cover blockchain probably computer science. not necessarily Bitcoin. its the blockchain that is more important to learn for the students to prepare for this industry and what could be blockchain's use in the future.

Honestly considering many of the nations do not have K12 level economics class, if you haven't giving these kids education on what money is, it would be near impossible to give what bitcoin is.

I have said this over and over again a million times, we should be making sure that finance is one of the classes in high school, because kids need to learn about it, and have like 2 hours a week of finance classes for 4 years, when they graduate they would be able to actually know what to do with their money. Right now consumerism is killing the world and the economy, people who can't afford things, make bad debt and work hard like slaves to pay them off, that can't sustain.

Everything happens step by step. I believe that in the coming future, bitcoin and blockchain technology will be included for learning in educational programs, but before that time bitcoins first have to jump the hurdle and get accepted/adopted first mainly, and then other things like this will follow. Governments, as we all know, do not like accepting Bitcoin officially, but they do not prohibit Blockchain. Because Bitcoin is not legal in my country, it appears that a few banks use Blockchain technology. Do not expect to see bitcoin or blockchain being taught in universities, I doubt it will ever happen except in countries where bitcoin is a legal tender. Reading your post, it sounds like without achieving this feat, bitcoin will be set back 10 years or lose some value, I don’t think so. I do not think bitcoin needs to be endorsed or taught in universities, I honestly think the walls of the university would not do justice to it. There are online crypto courses offered by udemy and crypto bootcamps where you can learn all about bitcoin and blockchain and get a certificate after doing so.

On a personal level, I totally agree with the op, Infact, the year blockchain technology and bitcoin becomes a subject student can study in school, that is the year bitcoin achieves total adoption.
But unfortunately, an achievement of this magnitude will take an ample of time, and it won't come easy, bitcoin would have to first of all win the hearts of the governments of the world, who would in turn declare its acceptance as payment for goods and service, otherwise known as legal tender, I believe that only when this happens, can blockchain and bitcoin be possibly turned into a general subject which students can study in school.
