I have spent 100 days of my life logged on bitcointalk!

I am happy to share this milestone with all of you! I have reached 100 days logged on this forum!  

Impressive!!! I don't think I've ever met such a vibrant, eclectic, diverse community.
I have been able to spend so much time and also be able to talk about a topic of this magnitude and complexity like nowhere... it was a pleasure, it is the pleasure as the first day I started this journey !

I wish you all a good stay on the forum (like mine)... and remember... we are all Satoshi Nakamoto.

What an impressive milestone you've reached. You must have learned a great deal during your time on the forum. And also instilled the values of what you've learned here in the forum and in your wider community, in order to make Satoshi Nakamoto proud of his investment and the goal he wished to achieve. Congratulations with your milestone! It's nice that you managed to catch it exactly when it happened. You spent more than 3 months of your life here . BTW, I think there is not that many forums which shows how much time you spent on it. I never paid much attention how much time I spent (or sometimes wasted) here. Now it's almost 148 days.

I think it's not needed to overstimate such achievement. It's nice thing, but not same like making x number of posts or getting like 1000 merit for example. Not about OP, but it's easy to achieve such thing without doing anything, you just need to keep your browser tab with Bitcointalk open. There is some accounts there with more than 20 000 days logged in and 0 posts. Offcourse, they're bots, it's not possible for real human to achieve such things - after all, 20k days is more than 50 years.

I will take the global or English language boards, the problems with merits is that they are not distributed enough outside particular boards. I think merits should be a barometer for post quality but we have all seen excellent posts receive little to no merit and on the other hands we have also seen posts most members would not deem worthy of a second glance receive  receive excessive amounts of merits.

Thanks to the forum you can have a boundless knowledge of this topic.
Every day is memorable when viewed from this perspective.
I have known collectibles in bitcoin, I have found essential guides to juggle in this sector, I found new points of view that opened my mind and allowed me to talk to friends who are thousands of kilometers away but thanks to the forum and this passion, seems really close to me.

Last but not least, it was also essential to get to know so many enthusiasts of this sector and in some cases to have been able to meet them even in live meetings here in Italy.

Among my friends/family, no one is able to speak a minimum of the subject with "knowledge of the facts".
It's frustrating because if you want to talk about this argument, have some questions or doubts or requests for clarification, I can only use the forum (please note I don't use social network ).
There is no toll-free number to call for details on how to use open source software or anything else, we have the forum which remains as a point of reference.

I tried to give back what I got. I have always found it essential to also offer support to other users by writing guides, giving advice, explaining scams and so on.

I hope that other users are able to live this experience and have the same passion using the forum.

As a user who has been here since 2014, it's only natural that you reached the milestone especially since you were able to maintain your participation and interest in the forum. What's great about you is that you have a greater passion for staying active on forum than many other longtime users. I haven't even had my 20 days total active since 2017, but this total active time will only grow if I stay interested in this forum.

For you, since you've been spending a lot of time on bitcointalk, I hope you do get a good return. Not about money, but something like knowledge is much more important to say. Congratulation for you.

It's 3,054 calendar days since you registered. Let's consider Each week on average you had 2 days off from forum life LOL. You were out of touch from the forum for 872 days. That leaves you 2182 calendar days. The total forum logged-in time for you is 2400 hours. Which means per calendar day you spent on average 1 hour 10 minutes.

Considering the addiction some of the forum members have to the forum, it's not much. You need to set a bot, keep refreshing the pages after every 10 minutes. Your forum time will increase dramatically 😂

You have 35% higher than my total time logged in. But that's not the case because I think my real job has taken up a lot of my active time on forum. I've invested over 1560+ hours of my time in the forum so far since signing up, nothing is more special than something like getting to know bitcoin. We talk about bitcoin, go over it, it has a natural addiction because there is a demand for profit and a great hope to change lives.

Well in the end bitcointalk is the longest discussion forum I've used so far, I hope you are too. If privacy wasn't something that prevented us from knowing each other, then maybe we would know each other outside of the forum.

I hope that other users are able to live this experience and have the same passion using the forum.

Merits are most definitely hit, and miss. Plus, don't get me wrong popularity does still play a factor in that. I think certain users have a real conscious way of distributing merit, while others are much more casual about it. Both are fine, since that's what creates the diversity to allow users to rank up.

I don't know what theymos' thought process was, but I wouldn't be surprised if this was a last ditch effort to shore up the forum, before the removal of signature campaigns all together, because they definitely do contribute a massive factor to the spam problem. I know theymos has previously stated he quite likes the idea of a sub economy on the forum, and I'd probably agree. However, there's a certain point where it becomes more detrimental, than positive.

I do think that the merit system has, and still is correcting the large amount of problems we had before.

I agree merit is better way to measure achievements and use it for milestones. Though, as said above, it have some downsides. Reaching x number of posts can be relatively easy, but still, it requires more or less eforts. While basically to reach 100, 200 or 500 days  while being logged in is enoughto keep tab with Bitcointalk open on your browser without doing anything.
You have very good point about community awards shows who contributed most in different ways, but at the same time it's also popularity contest.

After you hit legendary there are not so many existing milestones to reach, so every rounding deserves celebration no matter if its activity, merit, or the time spent on the forum.i just hit 165 days been genuinely online
Here is so much amazing stuff to read, old and new buried under piles of spam and drama but digging for it is worth it so for sure I'll keep rolling around for the next decade

There are a lot of accounts that are created still active from 2012 this forum is so huge that we are not familiar with some names because they are posting on sections where we are not familiar like in the mining section I visited that section and there are high rank accounts that I am not familiar with, I'm sure they have the same opinion of my account as I'm only posting on sections where I am comfortable posting.

Congratulations to bitbollo on this milestone. If you really have been active on this forum all these 100 days, reading and writing posts, then this is undoubtedly great. Personally, I can't boast of either a similar result, or the fact that all my 59 days logged into the forum I'm as productive as possible, because sometimes I can only be formally online.
