Fewer than 1% of people involved in cryptocurrency are women.

I know there are definitely more males than females in the tech industry, but <1% are females?

I'm here so I might be an example to other women. Women and most people in general will venture into new places when they don't feel threatened. Personally, I believe that being nice is just good human behavior and treatment deserved equally regardless of gender

It's possibly unfortunate given the average teenage neanderthal mentality in some geek circles*, that the username "Cryptowoman" could be translated as "hidden woman" or "secret woman" from the root of crypto thus implying a lack of true womanhood and exacerbating the tendency to doubt such in rude and juvenile ways.

(*Plus it must be said also a consequence of the "originality" of those trolls that being aware that it was a feminine scarce environment, decided to impersonate women for the troll value.)

However, we know here that the intention was to portray a woman interested in crypto-currency so we're all going to place nice AREN'T WE.

Welcome.

The "playing nice" part didnt last long, but in all honesty I dont see why anyone should be nice just because someone else is a certain gender.
I ddont think its a good idea to be interested in something just because few do. Care for BTC or dont, but dont pretent to be on rightous joutney to bringt bitcoin to woman.

Im not really here, its just your imagination.

Yes, it's an embarrassment to humanity that we still have to mention it in the 21st century.

No one pushed me. I've been here awhile under a different name. I'm realizing there is a need for women to understand and feel comfortable. Just decided to start again with that purpose Smiley And yes, I am a woman.

Well, it's hard to prove these kinds of stats in a largely anonymous community. But, that is the number that is going around — with the exception of China, where I've heard as many as 10% are woman. Nevertheless, in IMHO there are too few.

Well, thank you for your appeal to decency. I'm certain that is an attitude that will help open up this world to women.

Certainly, I didn't have those ideas in mind when I selected the name and you must all know that my intentions are to pronounce that I am a woman (truly) interested it cypto-currency. If your minds must wander, indeed I am being cryptic in the fact that my real identity is hidden.

I'm here to play nice and demonstrate to other women that it can be done.

This has been a goal for a long time and I think the interesting things crypto users can do their coins the more females will be attracted to use it.
