A few years ago, let's say, probably more than one year ago, there was an ominous transaction occurring in the Bitcoin Blockchain that generated a lot of discussion and controversy. Apparently, the transaction hash was too unexpected or quite impossible to have been generated randomly and there would be a chance that it could be generated by someone who had enough computational to do so. This generated a lot of theories, one of them being that the transaction could have been generated somewhere in the future by Satoshi himself. Or even by Hal Finney who in the future would have been brought back from its cryogenic state and healed from his illness and capable of sending this transaction back to the past as a message.

I know there was a thread about this matter, but I cannot seem to find it…

I never came across such a thread, but it's really amazing how people always want to make weird theories when it’s something involving Satoshi or the early Bitcoin users. Of all things, why would someone think a transaction getting sent from the future?

I guess some people just don't prefer simplicity anymore.

I believe it's just pure random. Even Satoshi Nakamoto is still here, it's still random. Not unless that transaction came from the suspected Bitcoin wallets that is identified by Satoshi Nakamoto before but up until now, there are still no transactions made on those Bitcoin wallets that connected from Satoshi Nakamoto.
Bitcoin network is already good now, with or without Satoshi Nakamoto so overall it's all fine for me and these things I really considered as theories only.

a txid is a hash... but its just a hash.. its not a PoW hash based on a difficulty rating. its simply a straight forward hash of the data

in short. i call BS on this topic

This reminds me of problem with RNG where it's hard to prove generated number really random or not. Whatever the txid of that transaction, it's just mere coincidence it has certain pattern.

I have never seen anything solid, it is usually either a misunderstanding of the topic starter or someone just trolling everyone else with their topic. Either case we see things like this semi-regularly. Here is a somewhat similar topic on Satoshi being back because of a signature, if someone doesn't read the replies or if the clarifying answer is overlooked people could believe the title of that topic and remember it years later as Satoshi having signed a message in 2022...

I've never read anything about it on the forum, but I remember some threads discussing so-called time travelers who sent some kind of warnings about Bitcoin. If it amuses anyone, I think this case has been mentioned several times on the forum -> I am a time-traveler from the future...

Well. It is possible indeed. The general relativity theory proves that. This is why we still see the lights of stars that already died millions of years ago, so in that sense, we are looking into the past. A real example for this is what happens in interstellar. Thing is, Hawkings tried to prove it was impossible to travel back in time but all points out that we can travel to the future.

I want to dispute the fact that satoshi is still alive there's no way that someone can tell you or give evidence that support is not alive if satoshi is dead everyone would have known he just left the full of bitcointalk to hide itself and also respect each kindness so there is no point someone can come in conclusion that satoshi is not alive I think that is wrong idea

But the theories you mentioned are contradictory then.  If Hal is brought back to life and sends a message to the past, then time travel works two ways.  Not just present to future.

If time travel is possible.  It means our time line changes continuously every single time some body changes the past.  This is interesting to imagine but hard to believe because it would easily be destructive.  Out of curiosity.  How do you see this transaction you are talking about being from the future?

Thing is, I need to find the story first. But unfortunately, it is being very hard. I know this was very talked about in themedia as well. But at that time, my belief was that if we had already built the AI singularity, it simply could be able to send information backwards in time, and that specific transaction would be proof of both the AI singularity and proof that information was totally independant from time itself. At least this is what the black hole theory tells us.
