We have just a few days to Christmas, so I guess now, it's Okey if we start wishing everyone a happy Christmas in advance.

This is a season when we all need money for various expenses like buying children Christmas apparels, shoes and anything that will make them look good.
Buying stuffs for ourselves to probably show off to neighbors, family and friends how wealthy we are and all that.
Spending lavishly on food and drinks that might end up perishing the next day if everything is not consumes in 24 hours or less..

We need money for several stuff this festival period, yeah, but it is a simple advice I've got for the crypto community which you are part of, Don't sell your Bitcoin to buy stuffs that will perish few days or weeks after Christmas.

Christmas comes and in 24 hours, it's gone, Bitcoin is here and will remain with you for as long as you keep, we definitely will sell it one day, but we all know that now is not the right time to sell.

If you sell your bitcoin to maybe buy new set of clothes and shoes, you threw away your bitcoin because, in three months time maybe, you probably will Not be wearing those clothes and shoes anymore..
Why then lose your Bitcoin for items that perishes in such a short time?
I don't think it's a bad idea withdrawing or exchanging some Bitcoin to fiat and spend it on Christmas stuffs if there isn't any alternative source of income, this is yelutide season which is synonymous with giving out some gifts to our love ones, to the poor and gifting Christmas hampers etc. Christmas it's only celebrated once in year it's a joyous occasion celebrated globally, thus this is not about throwing some Bitcoin away, but taking out some bit for personal enjoyment and merriment after working throughout the year, Merry Christmas 🌲 in advance to forum members.

Merry Xmas Bitcoiners! Grin
We buy gifts because we want to do something good for our loved ones. But please don't forget that there are also many people who are not well. I always donate some money at this time so that other children can have a good time. Life is hard enough, this makes it a little easier. And now, have a good time, everyone.

Gifts are bought and shared among friends and family during the festive holidays. Money is spent during these times to make merry and spread joy and cheer to family and loved ones.
In my opinion, you can’t put a price on the smiles, joy and happiness generally felt during these festive season and that’s why people cherish the time spent with family and friends.

I think we should all spread joy and cheerfulness whenever we could and not just only during the festive season. Always try to put a smile on someone’s face. It could put a smile on yours as well.

As every year, I used to acquire and keep a small amount of Bitcoin to celebrate New Year's Eve always with my family
This year, I decided that it would be an exceptional celebration, since it is my first year away from the family home, and the atmosphere of the family celebration is the same as every year. I agreed with a group of friends from other provinces to camp in the desert on New Year's Eve.
All I wish for this evening is that the prices will improve in the crypto market so that I can sell Bitcoin at a better price. I bought this milligram of bitcoin and saved it when the price of bitcoin was over $30,000 and today it is less than half of that amount.

I've come across so many other threads where people preach against the sell of Bitcoin  regardless of whether in profit or not.
Most people really don't get the concept of investment, especially with relationship to Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general. The moment you're holding a coin and you've made enough profit to have possibly satisfied your greed and pleased your heart, I strongly advice that you should atleast get it's capital off the market to avoid emotional attachment while holding.
This is a festive season and though holding is a gift, I think if the only means we have to celebrate this season is to sell some part of our holdings then I see nothing wrong with that but in all you do, always remember to have some more savings to fall back to.

I’m not against using bitcoin as a payment method, I completely support the use of bitcoin to pay for goods and services. It’s the purpose of bitcoin as a currency afterall. I just do not think selling bitcoins in bear market to spend on Christmas is a smart decision. Tbh I think Christmas is a business not a religious holiday as originally intended, it’s the largest economic stimulus in the world. They do it every year so they can sell their merchandise. Christmas generates trillions of dollars every year and I would prefer not to add my bitcoins to the statistics.

Yes, People will spend money on Christmas but more smarter people will use the fiat money and not sell their bitcoins at the current prices.
I think it is not wise to spend and sell bitcoin now when the price is near its very low. You can save your bitcoin now and get good returns later in the bull season.

If your salary was short out from your day job and wanted to make out some preparations for Christmas and New year then it wont really be that a bad idea on spending a small portion of those holdings of yours.
As long you arent spending all of it then you should be fine.It isnt really bad to spend up a portion yet this holiday season do happens only once a year which spending some amounts of those investments that
you had hold for so long wont really that a waste.Yes, you could really make out some conversion from crypto to fiat. This is what im doing, but im sure that im not spending
that much because it is really better that you are holding into something which does have potential.

It doesn't really matter if you pay with fiat or bitcoin really, since both are valued the same at the time.

What matters is which one you choose to keep for a long time.

If you keep your money in fiat it will depreciate, but Bitcoin will appreciate over a long period of time.

You can always spend bitcoin for goods and services and buy more to replace it.

I remember before, like every Christmas holiday, there are a lot of people claiming that Bitcoin will dump because people will sell some Bitcoin to buy presents for someone, so a dump is expected, but every time I hear that what happening is the opposite.
So for me, this is becoming a theory now.

Yeah, I've heard a lot of this theory in the past even though it was debunked last year.
At any moment of celebration, people can have a genuine initiative to increase the visibility of bitcoin especially for relatives who are not yet involved in this space, that way they don't have the option of selling their bitcoins just to give gifts.

This space for rent.

The market will always move against our plans and we should always prepare plan B incase of this happen. I don't follow the rumours, instead I listened to the price actions of the market. Bitcoin can still keep dipping till January but this Christmas, we would be expecting either a slight dump or heavy pump. This year is one of the most terrible year in the Crypto space where we witnessed so many failed projects and scams took the orders of the day, but I'm grateful that we all have learnt our lessons from the space this year.

We all have our preferences when it comes to Christmas, others will celebrate, give gifts and spends money so that others will be happy. There is also not celebrating it as it is just an ordinary day. If you saved your bitcoin for this kind of holiday then nothing is wrong with it as that is your goal for the whole year but it doesn't mean that you need to sell all, just save some of it so that you can use it for an emergency. You can spend your bitcoin whatever you want as it is your money but moderately

Unfortunately, I will have to go to work on the 24th and die to my schedule I have still havent had time to prepare for christmas. Apart from a few gifts and a wiskey bottle I still have a lot to prepare. This means that Ill have to get out from work on the 24 and go looking for what is still missing. Even so, I believe ot will be a better christmas than the previous ones as at least there is no covid regulations to separate my family, so this year all the family will get together. This will be the best gift, for sure.

Every religious event generates business, The famous Greek Philosopher said "Man is by nature a social animal, an individual who is unsocial naturally and not accidentally is either beneath our notice or more than human." I don't think its something bad, since people buy new stuff for themselves and gifts for there loved once. In my country people used to wait for such events to buy new clothes, shoes and other stuff. In short such events bring happiness.
In my country Bitcoin is not legal so we cant use Bitcoin to buy any stuff.

Christmas is a special celebration and I also do not think that it is bad to have a budget of some bitcoins that you would sell off to make the occasion memorable both for you and your family. The thing is just try as much as possible to keep your spending moderate and don't overdo or over sell out some coins to finance your celebration. Christmas did not come suddenly so it definitely means that you must have been making financial plans for a while about that day to avoid or reduce the pressure of needing money to spend.

Preparing for Christmas is fun you know but it would be nice spending according to your level. Do not spend to impress or to opress someone because you just might not know what the turnout of event would be. Christmas to me is everyday because there is more to me waking up every day and being grateful for yet another day and sufficient abundance. I am not trying to neglected Christmas as not important please but I believe it was a day set aside for the celebration of the birth of Jesus. If you must spend fir preparations, try to see you have a reserve because January is yet another season itself and you know how it feels to have spent everything and entering another with no remedy or backup plans.

To some people this is a good advice but to some people this is not the best advise.
There are people who bought bitcoin for long so that it will appreciate by Christmas to give them money to spend. To those people they don't your advice. Money is made to be spent, if they want to spend it they shouldn't be restricted.
I have sold much myself to send to family and friends so that they will look good and eat good foods. This is a period of merriment.

Christmas is a time of family getting together, and how much money, gifts or Bitcoin you have is highly irrelevant in my opinion. Has Bitcoin allowed me to celebrate Christmas in a bigger way? Not really. We've never really focused too much on the gift giving, and all that. What matters is the people that's there for me. So, ultimately I've prepared for Christmas like I have before I had Bitcoin. Bitcoin hasn't really changed a whole lot of the process for me.

I'm sure some people have benefited from Bitcoin, and therefore have been able to celebrate a little more lavishly than before. Each to their own I say.

For me I have bitcoin that I've been holding and I will wait till the next bull run to at least see how profitable it will be.

But there are bitcoin that I'm willing to sell, just to enjoy this Holiday with my families and friends. This is the time wherein we should enjoy the fruits of our hardship for the whole year so there's nothing wrong with selling, but you still have some that you HODL for the next all time high.

So again, don't make it hard for yourself, just have fun and take it easy this Christmas.

I generally avoid interfering Bitcoin with my daily life/routine. Christmas is no different. Bitcoin hasn't enabled me to celebrate any differently just because I may do better financially. I'm also trying to approach a more minimalistic way of life; hoarding stuff you don't use or need is exhausting and a waste of resources; thus, I rarely resort to binge buying clothes or other items, even during Christmas celebrations. Don't get me wrong, I'll buy a few gifts for my parents and significant other, but I won't go on a shopping spree. With that being said, I'm not spending a fortune, nor do I spend more than I can afford; thus, there's no way I'd liquidate my Bitcoin. I've adopted a way of thinking that involves completely ignoring its existence.

That's equally a good advice, but It's never a bad idea, celebrating Christmas in a way that you can afford to, because you literally don't need to lavish more than you can afford to spend, as Xmas is just a one day something. Moreover, selling your Bitcoin to celebrate ones in a year with family members and friends is not a bad idea, because what if eventually something happens to you. The Bitcoin will be lost while you have gone (die). So it's better to celebrate the little you can with family and friends now that you are alive

Why not take a little pinch out of our bitcoin stash this Holiday and make it a special one even if the market is worst or the financial landscape around the world is at chaos. At least you got the money to enjoy with the families and bring food in the table for them.

Others might have different perspective though, they don't want to touch their bitcoin and will rather have this so called "delayed gratification".

So to each its own I guess, "Different strokes for different folks".
