The seed phrase is your unique password, and you should be the only person who knows it, in my opinion.

That means when you die the coins die with you. If you're a lonely person it may be understandable you don't want random people to take your hard-earned money, but having a family, children, changes things. I'd prefer my family to have access to my coins after my death, so I'd either give them the access when I live or put it on a piece of paper and hide it in a safe place so they can use it when I'm gone.

Yeah, why the hard earned money need to go unused. Maybe one shouldn't need to share the seed phrase, but it is a must to share how he/she have secured the seed phrase. Only the if something unexpected happened to the person who had control over the funds, it can be used further. Myself too never thought of it, now I prefer teaching my close ones about the seed phrase.

It would be selfish and wasteful if the money we earned were not used under any circumstances. In my opinion, sharing a seed phrase with someone you trust the most is the right thing to do, even if your wife knows nothing about bitcoin. In the event that something unexpected happens to you, as long as she holds onto the phrase, accessing that property shouldn't be too difficult. I always share all my secrets with my wife because all I do is for my wife and children, not just me.

The reason I believe in my younger sibling is because we have trusted each other since we were teenagers, protecting and sharing with one another.

It is a good choice, but I know that in this world, we cannot say that everything will happen. What if something bad happens to you? What will you do if you have 1 bitcoin or more in your wallet? How will your family discover this? We have lost 1 family (3 people) due to accident, and I would say that being secretive with your wealth and money over time wouldn't help your family as they could get it when you haven't informed them. Thats true, just letting them know about the seed phrase could lead to losing the funds. It is good to teach about the risks and how important is the seed phrase. Along with the same letting them know about past stories in which different people have lost huge funds. This will make them understand and remember the importance of keeping the seed phrase in a secure way.

That's what I'm doing for now, because the only trusted person who can manage my Bitcoin is his wife. Even for more than a year until now it is still running. The reason I tell you the seeds of recovery is to guard against the unexpected. Then another reason is while educating my wife to get to know more about how Bitcoin works, in the sense that apart from saving Bitcoin every month, my wife always compares it to saving fiat money in her account. In a small notebook that I have, I have all the information on crypto that I have, usernames, mails, passwords, phrases, basically anything she might need in case that I can't.

This doesn't mean that I am dead, but I may be in hospital or even jail (hope not for both) and she could at least go home, open my pc, and use that notebook to cash out all our crypto savings if he has to. She hasn't done anything like that so far, I have a laptop and even in hospital I made sure that I could withdraw via my phone, but you never know what life may bring.

I think good ideas with your decision sharing all cryptocurrency information to your wife, you have given detail about cryptocurrency exchange account do you have from mails, username, password and seed phrase. I sure you have trust more than 100% with your wife and something bad happen have back up with your assets saving in cryptocurrency.

Storing phrases should be saved and not easily accessible by anyone but only you. They have every right to know the seed phrase, because our present and past lives is not predictable, no one knows what will happen in the next few seconds, hours and minutes. It's always advisable to plan towards the promising future inother to prevent costly mistakes from taking place. My Bitcoin phrase is very safe and kept in a discreet place and I would only reveal it to my love ones when it's time.

Only the owner of the funds can decide whom to give access to their seed phrase, it may not even be their wife or blood relation, trust can come from any person, you might get married to someone and along the line discover that your spouse isn't to be trusted with some sensitive information, you wouldn't then reveal your seed phrase to them because they are your spouse.

This is my own opinion, but as long as you are legally married in think what belong to you will belong to her as well,. maybe make a safe code wherein she can only sue or she can only open it and use it if you are gone already. of course even  the both of you has the right not to share all the things to each other still there's always a trust, it will be tested in this scenario. You can hide it of course but how long will it be.
