I think you're not only new to this forum but new to cryptocurrency also. Elon musk is an ordinary person just like you. He has no power to control the price of btc. He can only predict just like every other person here which he did in that Tweet. If you are familiar with the history of btc price in the previous years, then you have nothing to panic about. Elon Musk is not a bitcoin predictor in the future I will not be affected by his tweets because we hold bitcoin on our own basis and also research that is carried out by us so believe in the future the 4 year bitcoin cycle will happen again but this is not necessary at all Elon Musk is called a manipulation.

Bitcoin is not going to die I believe it will grow again but I will not stop to keep hoarding as much bitcoin as possible so that after the 2024 halving we can meet the expectations for the bullrun to come but believe that the cycle will still be in force later.

2023 will not be a big event for bitcoin we will still see bitcoin in recovery accompanied by a long bearish run so I believe in the coming year we will still be bitcoin HODLers.

Definitely, Elon Musk can't control the price of Bitcoin but he can move the price of BTC somehow with his tweet. But that happened in a long time ago when he decided to invest in Bitcoin however, with the recent FUD about mining isn't eco-friendly he just turned around and sell his Bitcoin when the price was in the peak at that time and gained enough profit. Then he suddenly switch to altcoins as what the others been trying to make some profit with those memecoins but he definitely gained more profit because of those people who followed him.

As for the, OP, as the 4 year cycle turns there's always a bull run going to happen in the future. Just do your own research and invest the amount that you can afford to lose.

Actually, none of us can predict the price of BTC not even the founder himself. He can't stop BTC anymore if ever he has a plan because it was already deployed and many of us holder won't want that to happen because BTC already did a lot of things to us. We will support it or save it if it's in a critical condition.

If you check on the image posted by the OP. Elon is positive about his tweet. He didn't said that BTC will die, which is a good thing. This encourages BTC supporters and this might help the price to rise as early as the expected dates. If you have a big dream then yes you must not quit buying and hodling BTC, because there is still more to come from this coin.

You should not believe in people, I will advice you to believe in yourself if you can do appropriate reserach on bitcoin. People are expecting 2023 to be for bulls and bears as the price will increase and decrease, while 2024 for more significant bull period.

If I invest on bitcoin, it is not because Elon Musk say anything, it is because I did my own research and still believe that the 4 year cycle will still repeat itself ones more.

People should read this up because wrong information or things could spread up with those people havent really able to verify out if Elon did really say such things or not.He didnt really make out some
claims that it would be guaranteed having that increase by the end of winter. I do rather see those realistic approach when it comes to that 4 year cycle which is something i do believe
that this is the time on where the price will really be making out some significant recovery or movement which we do all waiting for but of course you should not expect that
much because its not really that an assurance that it would happen.

As it was said Musk did not tweet that the price was going to increase in December. Even if he did that he's not a man you should trust. Did people already forget that Musk pumped bitcoin saying that it's great and is going to be accepted by Tesla and then backed out of it saying it's not good for environment and uses too much electricity. One of the smartest people in the world didn't know what he was buying or maybe he knew what he was buying but wanted to pump the price and make a quick buck? Which do you think was more probable?

It's kinda absurd though if someone will claim that bitcoin will die because it will not, we have been in existence for more than a decade now and so far we have a lot of ups and downs but we did manage to overcome it, like the so called Flippening and Rippening in 2018, the Covid-19 scare in 2020 and the war in Europe and the Terra Luna and FTX collapse is 2022. And probably there will be another black swan even in 2023 that will pull the price to go down even further to a new lower lows. But it doesn't mean that we won't recover from those tests moving forward. We should all be looking in the future specially the next bitcoin halving in 2024.

What's more likely to happen is that Bitcoin won't pump in 2023 but it won't dies as well. Bitcoin has a large community of users and market downfall just became normal for this industry in general. I think market recovery is more assured to occur on 2024 (next Bitcoin halving). But things might change; if there will be news into this technology such as huge companies accepting Bitcoin, it could wake the interests of potential investors to engage towards this industry. If things would be the same as with 2018, investors should be ready to hold for another year.  Anything could happen still; if you are losing hope, try exploring this market's history to somehow lift your hopes up.

In 2023, I don't know if Bitcoin will be able to increase in price, but my prediction is that it will be a bearish year, but I can assure you that Bitcoin won't die in 2023. And if in 2023, I hear more news that bitcoin is dead, I will be happier, because I think when the crowd panics, that means we've bottomed out and can buy more bitcoins to prepare for the bitcoin bubble to burst later. Bitcoin price is unpredictable in the community which nobody know if the price of Bitcoin will increase higher in 2023 or it will decrease more than it's now in the future.But the most important thing now, is to carry out your personal research to know whether next years will be  better than this year or this year will be better than next year. It will do decent enough. I am not going to say that it will be huge, or break ATH or anything, but I am sure that the recovery will start in 2023. I have said this plenty of times before, 2022 was the bear year, so do not expect 2023 to be a bull year right away, it will probably a year where we diagnose the problem, try to put some bandages on it, stop the bleeding and that will help us, it is not going to be healed yet, but it will start the process of healing which would be good enough.

I am hoping that it will do a bit better in the long run, can't say if it will be in 2024 or 2025 that it will be over ATH but it is a slow and gradual process to get there.

i didn't know Elon Musk is a world-class economist. I thought he was mostly making bad cars and manipulating his company stock and other assets through his twitter account.

Elon Musk is not an authority on the global economy. His opinion does not mean much. If you want to invest ... spend some time for your economy and history eduction and unfollow Elon Musk (AKA tHE Great market manipulator).

I will agree with you that if we want to invest, stop listening to what other people have to say and take the time to do your own research and find out. But Elon is not as bad as you say, his electric car idea is becoming a movement in the world, and he is a pioneer in the electric car revolution, don't deny his success. Bitcoin's journey has been very long, I fully believe that Bitcoin will not die both in 2023 and in the future, in the coming year Bitcoin will grow very well.

Not sure whether Bitcoin will pump or not in 2023, but for me personally I will continue to hold Bitcoin even though people say that in 2023 there will be a recession and the price of Bitcoin will be corrected but I am ready for this, because in a worse case I have experienced , especially for the upcoming 2023. Moreover, I also don't really care what Elon Musk says about BTC and cryptocurrencies, because I don't want my investment in BTC to depend on what he says.

Maybe this will not be a resistance for bitcoin which can face a global recession, I believe maybe the bearish will continue in the following year because it is rather blurry to see recovery for bitcoin and we must be able to get through this phase in a sustainable way.
