50 day average is almost completely flat at present, its really a coin flip decision to say bullish or not at the beginning of the year.  We will face a future challenge to even this current price imo.   News wise speculators are overly optimistic for 2023 with some seeing the Federal reserve dropping rates during this year despite no encouragement to this outcome.   Long term the most likely reason for currency weakness will be continual overspending by government in fiscal budgets; if all debt were repaid we'd have hard money and BTC would imo resolve below 10k with inflation near zero perhaps.   This wont happen, long term debts will only nominal repay via inflationary losses meaning all asset alternatives to Dollar resolve upwards year to year; saying that I think 2023 is not a big up year we might revise part of the 2022 losses long term this means we are attempting to stablize before afterwards being able to gain.

I doubt it. From the data studied, the price will likely continue down in 2023, dropping below $10k. As the halving approaches, there will be a pump and dump that might go as high as $15k in the run-up to the halving. After the halving, the price will continue down as it'll be painfully evident just how dead this experiment is. By the end of the decade, the price will be below $1,000.

Elon's words have little impact now compared to before when he is at his peak. Many do not believe what he always says now. It's better if you believe in your knowledge and guts rather than listening to someone. Remember they also have a motive that's why they are saying such things.

He's still the same, unchanged, he is still a social media influencer, but people have stopped believing what he says about the market. Because everyone realized that he was just trying to manipulate the market for his own gain and had no intention of building a developed market.

When? Do you have any proof, explanation, or source to back up your statement? Or did you just think of it randomly? Paper money vanishing is impossible because of technological differences between other countries. We can't deny that majority of the population is not into crypto or doesn't have an interest even if crypto is well known already.

Paper money will disappear in the future, which is what humans aim for, but CBDC or a government-created digital currency will replace it, not bitcoin. The government won't let that happen. I believe people will use crypto, the biggest barrier is the government, so as long as the government is legit, everything will be easy.

It will but it may not occur this year but I have a strong feeling that it will happen next year. If all fails then maybe 2025 is surely be the date for it. There is no way that we can be like this forever because people will soon be bore and leave this market.

It still can happen in a large scale because I expect a wider adoption soon and then those who are supposed to be newbies have now gained a lot of experience to do better. Don't mind the guy above as he is only joking when he said the market is now dead. He is not a newbie anymore and he also doesn't look like he is a BTC hater like those guys who promote BSV where they already got a red trust for discrediting bitcoin.

We can't question BTC as a revolutionary technology and now becoming one of the best assets. However, if we are going to look at it's previous history, this year could be another bear market and the true pump will happen right after the halving which is 2024. So it's a long time before we can actually see those huge pump so we need to be strong and have a lot of patience to continue to be a holder and accumulate over time.

Lucky btc holders dream of seeing the price go up every year, but that doesn't happen. Now waiting for 2023 for that. Why? Only because they don't have the patience and want to see growth right here and right now. But the problem is that in order to change the trend of bitcoin, the desire of the holders alone is not enough, to put it mildly. As you said, the halving will take place no earlier than 2024, which means should not expect a rise in price ahead of time either. ATH happens in 2021, it's about $69K. During 2022 we only enjoyed down turn and they have until now.
What's next in 2023? We both don't know yet even though there is actually a lot of optimism about 2023. I think speculators are really going to be putting a lot of thought into 2023 which is likely to be the year we should buy and buy more, but that doesn't mean it's going to drop below $10K.

It is not clear when bitcoin will recover, but it is clear that now it will be very profitable to make a profit buying it now.
2023 will be simple, stick to the fundamentals, don't chase the basics, and stay away from "influencer" recommendations.

Good point, that's what I like about the set of newbies that we have right now, they know that this is the best opportunity, the bear market. Buy and stack up sats as much as you can and then just be a HODL and way for the next bull run, it will be just around the corner and time flies to fast now. Next thing you know we are in the block halving already and we wishes that we buy more when the price is still very cheap and at a discount. So take every opportunity, this is the right time to accumulate.

As for the fundamentals, it will always be this strong and has been. It's that the market works in cycle, every 4 years and that's where this whole accumulate phase enter the picture and that's how bitcoin investors became rich because they know when to invest and how long to HODL and when to sell.

There is currently a huge shortage of fuel in Europe. Moreover, the Ukraine-Russia war has caused massive increases in fuel prices in almost every part of the world. There is a big concern to fill the fuel shortage in Europe during the winter season. If that winter can be properly overcome, many believe that Europe will be free of major anxiety and that financial conditions will return to normal. I think Elon Musk may have analyzed that and expressed that crypto will be bullish again after winter. Moreover, currently the winter season is going on in cryptocurrencies, after this season, a big bullish trend may start in crypto ‍again.

As much as we wanted to be as the main source of payments, there are a lot of challenges that we have to face, like the volatility and not everyone are willing to accept it. Not sure what you mean by paper money disappearing though, central banks are not going to allow it.

I do not think that trading whole year sideways sounds that possible. I am not saying that it is impossible neither, but it's unlikely to say the least. People think 2022 was sideways but in reality it wasn't, we were a lot higher and dropped, it was a bear year and we dropped that's it, it wasn't sideway year. Sure most of the days were sideway but that doesn't mean that it will continue to be sideway forever.

I think it is clear that we are going to end up with profiting from upside movement this year, don't know how I know but it's just a feeling inside me saying that it's time to pick up some pace and go up finally, which will be awesome if it turns out to be true.

That will come, eventually we are going to see something that will change the market, maybe a news, maybe a whale buying billions, "something" that will make it look good. After it looks good the rest won't matter because the rest will be quite easy to handle anyway. I know its not going to be super smart to keep holding because that good thing (whatever it is) will come one day and that's all I need to know. Just having the trust and belief in bitcoin alone is a good reason to keep buying and holding. Many people do not have that now, and they will regret that later on.

I agree with you that now we have a good opportunity to buy cheap bitcoin in order to sell it for many times more in the future. We may have to hold on to it for a year or more. It will most certainly pump, well at least that's what I believe. To be fair nobody really knows what's going to happen, the world economy says that it should have a bad year, it looks not a great thing and the whole world is in trouble, which means there aren't that many people with a lot of money, just the 1% is rich and others are poorer than ever in history.

This is why many people think 2023 should be a bad year for crypto as well, in a world where not many people have money, who will buy to make it bigger. But, I think since we bottomed out (I think we did) then rich people may start to buy more, and we will all profit so we will all take it higher and higher.
