Can't blame Lomachenko if he denied Haney and his father that fight because back at that time, the latter was a nameless boxer and don't have any good names in his career while Loma is looking forward to be the undisputed boxer, so it's reasonable that Loma didn't entertain Haney is that will not give him any benefit. I sure do hope that it is still the case of Lomachenko where he can definitely give any other opponent some hardships in the middle of the fight from reading his movements as he will be hard to guard from throwing serious punches in multiple angles, other than that, his defense is also hard to penetrate which makes him almost invulnerable from the heavy punches. This will be interesting because people are still looking forward to see Loma's old form which I think we will as he himself know that he didn't have a good performance in his return.

However, despite not having the power, Haney is faster, he has an improved philly shell defense and he is very intelligent. I reckon after his first fight vs. Kambosos in Australia, he also has shown that as a fighter, he is fully grown already. I am not certain if this will be a dominating performance for Haney but I would not be shocked if it ended with a dominant win him.

We should know by now that Devin Haney is not a knockout artist, he might be entering his prime though, I agree with that, but I'm not seeing him proving anything as far as his power goes. You can't teach it in the gym, either you have it or not. And another weakness of Haney is that he has a weak chin, he has been hit got wobbled throughout his career.

So with his lack of power, he make it up with this good boxing IQ and defense. That's why even though he has been hurt before, he was able to get back and beat his opponent through decisions.

This is the first time Lomachenko is an underdog, and a heavy underdog. His problem during last fight is that he turns on/goes forward lately. This was in a fight against Lopez, when due that he did not have enough time to win more rounds. This was in a fight against Ortiz, when he managed to get bruise or cut in first round already. Loma starts slowly and increase tempo. That wont work against Haney. Plus Haney is younger. Plus Haney is going to be heavier. Loma is used to featherweight more. On the scale both will be 61.2kg, but next day Loma would be 65+, while Haney would probably be close to 70.

First two rounds will show everything. If Loma starts slowly, cautiously, exploring Haney, then Haney would end this fight with UD.

Yes, not as big and that's why they try everything they can to really bring the fight to the masses. Just imagine Bob Arum still in his 90's and yet promoting this fight. We all know that this is the real deal as far as belt is concern for 135 lbs division.

The problem of current Lomachenko - he isnt hungry anymore. He has been boxing among pros for 10 years already. He has won European and World championship golden medals. While some people dream to get Olympic gold medal, Lomachenko got two of them. Not to mention all those belts he has got among professionals. He has achieved almost everything, he has earned a lot of money already, have lovely family. Compared to Haney, Loma has already "seen life, got everything". I really doubt that Loma needs and wants all that fights.
