They should have killed off the game when they had the chance, and now they are at a risk of getting ejected if Belgium scores one more goal late in the match.

Senegal were leading and in control, conceding a goal is not the main problem, their problem was protecting the second goal. 80 minutes it was 2:0 in favour of Senegal, 90 minutes it was 2:2, Belgium used less than 10 minutes to equalise two goals, Senegal will only have themselves to blame if they get knocked out tonight.

Yeah i agree,i guess you cant ever let your guard down or you get punished like this. Senegal was clearly a better team for 85 minutes of the game and dropped their guard down for 5 minutes and conceded two goals that caused the match to go into overtime. Belgium now in overtime looks like a better team. I think Senegals moral is really down now because of these two goals and Belgium need to take advantage of it before they go into penalties.

I don't think its nice concluding its over for Senegal  now because i know its the final whistle that can only justify the winner of this game even as they are down in possession against Belgium.  From onset I am pleased with Senegal's consistent performance but what changed that lead to an unnecessary conceding of two goals within the space of 20 minutes is what I can't tell  but I am fully sure the game will not end in favour of Belgium.

Sometimes  you just have to not give up and keep pushing  until  the final  whistle. How do you lose a 2nil lead in the last minutes of the game and you are playing better than the opponents, sorry but don't believe these teams lost on merit.. maybe it's the American script??

This World Cup has many big surprises, like Germany losing to Paraguay. I expect England to advance, but DR Congo can definitely score a goal today.

In the end, Germany only lost in the penalty shootout. I actually thought they were going to complete the comeback there, but unfortunately Tah also missed his penalty feelsbadman.

The format these days is that the weaker teams will score first, but no matter how many goals, 2,3... the favourites will equalize and win straight hand, or in the penalty stage. That being said, I wouldn't dare to predict that Senegal won't score past 1 goal.I've never been so upset about something I can't change. What will the Senegalese tell their kids? Oh, you mean the world cup? "We scored plenty of goals, say 2 or so, but., emm.... Harry Kane played the only right role in changing the fortunes of England team. With his two goals, he made England team capable of going to the next round. England team I thought they would lose because they did not see any goal for a long time, but in the end they scored two goals in a moment and confirmed it by winning. England team was quite strong but in this FIFA World Cup the weak teams are performing the best.
DR Congo team their performance was good for a long time, they tried their best to keep the team towards victory but in the end they could not maintain their performance. So in the end DR Congo team had to lose.

It’s a little disappointing from both Senegal and Dr. Congo. While 1 goal doesn’t make much of a goal difference in the DR. Congo game and for a team like England, it was obvious England was going to score, you can hope to have an impenetrable defense against such a squad like England. Not taking the game to extra time though, that’s what I didn’t expect Dr. Congo would allow but, they lost anyway.

Senegal was the worst of all, in a game they were leading by 2:0 at 85 minutes, they conceded 2 goals in less than 5 minutes to drag the game to extra time and lost in the end, that was some bad performance.

I caught half of the second half of the Belgium vs Senegal game, enough to see Belgium's goal comeback, putting them back in the game, much to Senegal's misfortune.

The England vs DR Congo game was thrilling, for me, the game was already won by Congo, it was a very good game to watch, it captivated me from beginning to end. England should be very grateful to Harry Kane. it was a game full of twists and turns and many tense moments.

European teams are having a lot of difficulty eliminating African teams in these qualifiers, while in the group stage, we saw teams score 7x1 against weaker teams.

Belgium won! They chased the loss in the final minutes of the game, and that penalty came as a godsend, but Senegal played a great game and dominated the first two halves. In the end, for me (from what I saw), they played better.

I really don't understand, at that point that 2 goals lead was sufficient enough to hold on and besides Belgium were not even the better team before I went to rest. To be honest, I didn’t expect England to secure such a dramatic victory , as I’d initially thought they’d win this match easily, but it turned out that Congo put in such a good performance in this match. Congo really had all the England supporters on the edge of their seats , and, quite unexpectedly, they managed to score just moments after the match had started. England tried to make up the deficit , but Congo put up such a strong fight, and the Congo goalkeeper was in impressive form in this match.

There’s no denying that England have great mental strength and composure , so their play seems to be gradually improving, and when the chances come, they’re able to score their goals . What a dramatic comeback that was.

They were saved because they had Kane.

Senegal is playing very well; let's hope they don't continue with the "naive" approach of trying to manage the result. Although my bet is on Belgium; it's great for football to see another African team in the round of 16.

No I think Senegal is not continuing with the naive pattern of wanting to defend their goal, instead of creating more chance to score more, yeah they are better than DRC Congo team. Ordinarily this was the kind of the result we expecting from Senegal because they are coming as the African champions, it is a solid team that did extremely well during the last African cup of Nations, so winning shouldn't become a difficulty for them as they've initially made it look like. However I must say that the Belgium team I'm seeing now didn't do well compared to the previous Belgium thing that had firepower.

We've seen more dramatic comebacks than tonight's comeback from Belgium against Senegal but I honestly do not think that the Senegalese players will forgive themselves for such a poor ending to a brilliant start.

They had all it takes to win the game but weren't able to protect their 2-goal lead in the final 10 minutes of added time.

I wanted them to win after putting a solid performance in the game but unfortunately for them, they couldn't just hang on.

Lukaku scored the goal in the 86th minute to defeat Senegal and then Tielemans scored in the 89th minute and Tielemans scored the last goal to secure the victory. Belgium performed so well in the final minutes that it completely broke the hearts of Senegal fans. While Senegal was almost certain to win in this long 90-minute game, there was no promise that they would lose.
But due to the bad luck of Senegal, the game changed drastically in an instant, as a result, Senegal was forced to lose even though they were winning.

Looks like they failed on game management. Both Belgium goals came out of nowhere, especially the second goal, where the keeper was partly to blame.

For that extra time penalty kick, I think the referee's decision was a bit too harsh even after looking at VAR. He should have just let them continue to spotkicks.

There's no similarity to me. Congo were not stupid enough to give away a 2-0 win and loss it all in a matter of three minutes. I even respected Congo's loss than that of Senegal. For the better part of 85 minutes, Senegal were the clear favorites and were frustrating Belgium but then it just took one error for Lukaku to capitalize. Who told Senegal that football is easy or something you could joke with? It's crazy how a team who were two goals down came back and won, considering how very poorly they performed. Senegal really disappointed Africans and their fans cause this is a very poor and careless behavior.

At this point im so pissed by what I just witnessed, Senegal are the worse African countries in this tournament, Cape Verde are even better than them. I saw Senegal as the best African team in this World Cup than Morocco because of how direct they are but after tonight they are the worst and shouldn't have qualified for the round of 32. How can you be leading 2nil till 86th minutes and you lost concentration, conceded the first goal and instead of hanging on to the ball, trying to delay at least till 90 minutes before doing anything, defend till the last minute, this guys start panicking as soon as Lukaku score till they equalized. This made Belgium tat could not play anything started playing as if they're good, my goodness, Senegal are just wasteful. If I'm suppose to have hope with Senegal and Morocco in this FWC as the only countries to go far I then I have made a mistake, I should replace Senegal with Cape Verde, Morocco and Cape Verde are the two best African countries in this world cup.
