Basically, you can win in a lottery draw if:

a) you're extremely lucky
b) you buy a boatload of tickets

I'm not a math guy really, but I guess you can find all the necessary calculations online. You need to buy A LOT of tickets, only then you have a decent chance of winning.

I agree with the use of the word IF because you can still do these two things but you still cannot win a lottery or you can buy one ticket and there's a possibility that you can win, there were and will be countless of winners that only bought or will buy one ticket and won and win a lottery, I don't believe in mathematical calculation or divination it's been proven that these two has no effect on the result.

Maybe if you've been following the lottery from a certain casino and have made or found a pattern, you can know what will come out. But it takes time to analyze the pattern until you find a pattern that will come out after the current pattern. And maybe some people who can or know about drawing up patterns can win the lottery but for most people, I think it will be very difficult.

In the past, one of my grandfather's younger siblings used to analyze the lottery numbers that had come out of the casino and try to figure out the pattern. But he still couldn't find it; strangely enough, when he just made a random guess about the numbers that would come out, the numbers actually came out. But unfortunately, he didn't buy the numbers and instead gave them to someone else and that other person won. But he got the money as thanks for giving the numbers.

Here in the Philippines, there's a lottery supported by the government which is the PCSO and this has a large amount of price pool like the others every day in the different lottery stations tons of people keep a waiting in line just to get their tickets and hoping to win a large amount of money, in terms of gambling casino I guess I didn't see so far have this instead its always happen when there's an event like before the Christmas there's a ticket for the players need to do before the Christmas ends and those have rewards and only people who follow the requirements will be part of the rewards.

Just use sports analogy, when you bet on favorite team where the odds is only @1.10, in order to earn $500, you need to bet $5,000. But if you bet on the underdog team where the odds is @10.00, you only need to bet $500, you will get $5,000 if you win.

So it's mean it's either you spend more money in order to win the lottery or you only spend small money and wish your ticket will be picked during the end of lottery draw.

Some would say to check on history such as number combinations and such but bottomline is that there's no such thing as a way to expectedly win on lottery betting. Algorithms do play a huge role. Buying multiple tickets would indeed logically increase the chances of winning but if you are just unlucky, then the other way around may still happen. On the other hand, there are individuals who bet in  solo manner but are just lucky enough to hit the jacpot. Pure luck based gambling games are indeed something. So if you are into it, expect more of a losing transction than anticipating guranteed victory.

Lottery could be a pure luck-based gambling game because there are people who bought only one ticket but still got lucky while there were also bettors who have bet using multiple tickets and still got unlucky. Others are betting with randomly chosen number combinations while others have been betting with the same number combination for a long time. It could be the birthdates of their family members or a date of special occasions. The result usually depends on a person's luck.

The truth is that even if you take the time to make an analysis like that there is no way to be sure you will find something, this is similar to what some gamblers do when trying to analyze the roulette.

They keep track of the numbers and they try to find out if there is any bias on the roulette, however if the roulette is in good shape even if you take the time to crunch the numbers you could find nothing except that the roulette is working as intended, making all your effort a waste of time.
