A bit of both really. I learned it myself from reading and watching people and so forth and youtube videos helped me a lot, seeing how something works live is always a lot better to understand and on those youtube videos they would show you what you should do and was awesome.

However, there were a few people in my life that I asked a few questions as well, wasn't the majority of it but could say 10% of all I know about trading came from tutoring as well, wasn't really tutoring perse but friends that traded better than I did and I asked them questions about it and they helped me with their answers. That's a pretty good way of making a profit without a doubt.

First thing first, this is what I did.
I learn trading myself, using articles and videos from trading sites. It was fun for me because I like to learn if it is about what could earn me money.
I remember the first time I learned to trade on my own and the results were not what I had imagined. I learned a lot from various sources like you did, from YouTube, websites, and so on, even from this forum. But in practice it turned out to be not that easy, especially when I experienced various difficulties when analyzing how the market would move. Not only that, at that time, I couldn't even manage my emotions and control them so many things happened and it made me often lose control and lose.

How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?
I think based on my experience, for me, it's better to have a live tutor because I can share and discuss trading issues directly. So that they can provide various inputs on my trading activities. Maybe it will work better if I continue to do it seriously. But because of one thing, my trading activity had to stop and I still don't want to start again.

I first started by self-learning on YouTube and joined a couple of Telegram channels.
There were not as explicit as I wanted them to be and most seem like they after money or growing their channels than in imparting knowledge.
For now, I have taken a break from it, pending when I get a real live tutor and has a good track record.

Today theres alot of sources in the internet. All we need is to take some time to read those, learn and apply them to the actual trading, at the first thing I do is to make analyze what the fundamentals I need to know with it are, so I can understand how does the market movement works which is the technical analysis, and by that, I seek some strategy how to become a more efficient trader. Now im still continuously learning through my experience and others knowledge so i can make execution properly with those trades.
You can also add a lot of communities for traders around the internet, they are in multiple social media right now, like group chats or channels. By joining and interacting with these groups of traders, you will learn a lot, because these people are the same as you, you will share knowledge, ideas, analysis, and many more.

Tutorials are not enough since, for sure, you still need someone to ask about the specific question about trading that you can't understand if you Google it. I myself enjoy asking questions to communities, joining groups on social media, and having group chats because you can ask multiple questions and those experts will answer them with their experience in trading, from which you can also learn a valuable lesson. What's great about joining communities is that you don't get bored because you're talking to other people, even if it's only online.

...For now, I have taken a break from it, pending when I get a real live tutor and has a good track record.

Only after some time, we begin to understand that it is easier to pay money for training than to comprehend the basics of trading on our own. In addition, this allows us to limit losses, since training usually costs less money than what we lose as a result of unprofitable trading.

I'm a self thought trader and I used the little information we have before on the internet since at that time when I studied trading, There aren't that much video tutorials about it especially in crypto. Being tutored is way better than being learning it yourself knowing that you have someone to rely if you have questions unlike self learning that you need to do research for your own question.

If only you discovered this forum early, then your trading knowledge won't be limited because the forum had a lot of great members even before although trading isn't only limited in cryptos but there are also stocks, forex and others. You still can learn from other traders. Maybe it's true that being tutored is better than manual but the only catch is that they aren't usually free.

You need to pay them for teaching you because they also went through a lot of hardships by the time when they are still a newbie and maybe they also paid for a tutor. We are now on the era where cryptos and trading are widespread. There are now lot's of free information on the web, not only on this forum so I think people will try to learn on their own.

I had to know how to start trading through a religious member, at first I was just roaming around making huge losses like mad. One faithful day, I met with this
my fellow religiouss member since he is a veteran banker I felt he most have some ideas about trading, so after much talk just to cut the story short, I started having tutorial class on trading with him at his home every weekend. Although he started putting me through  about forex trading which he said has a little nuance with cryptocurrency trading, it was then from there we delve into crypto and he encouraged me to also go online and search for trading videos which he recommended some sites for me.
And that was how my trading experience improved and losses reduced to minimal as my profits started to exceed my losses. One thing i believe in is that it's good to have a teacher perhaps as a guide against expensive mistakes as some crypto mistakes made by some cryptoprenuers are still indelible in their mind due to how expensive it was.

Crypto is not a must if you want to learn about trading. You could learn trading from stocks and specially from forex as well which would teach you all the basics and indicators and chart reading and so forth. It is available for crypto nowadays as well but back when I first started most of them were available for forex and it did happen and work, which means that I believe it should be something more than important to current situation we are in right now.

If you know all about them then you should be fine about it as well. I learned them all, but then realized long term investment is better than all of them combined which is why I didn't end up working towards it.

I still believe that there are nothing or none of us who tries to trade in the beginning that does not experience losses, I even tried this for years still losing sometimes now?
but about the question as I stand? no tutor at all, there are one person that seats beside me when I start to trade But she is my wife and actually we studied together so she stands with me in my journey in this risky world of crypto trading
The most suitable option is training in conditions close to real. I think this is the most correct option. At least, I think that this option may be the most profitable.
practice make perfect meaning training will always brings good reflection , so yes this can be added as flavor .

I actually started learning trading on my own by following series of online tutorials in the form of videos and written notes. I also joined some social media groups where other members are willing to express their ideas on trading. Though it hasn't been very easy but I'm copping gradually.

Studying independently, of course, is a little difficult, but I think that with this we become more serious about learning because it is indeed a little different when we are taught. Even though this is indeed easier because someone teaches, but indeed this can become an addiction in my opinion because in this case we become more fixated on other people even though this does not apply to everyone but I think the average will be like that.
Because when we are being taught continuously I think we can't be more mature.

It's good to have a mentor to tell us what to study and then study it ourselves, that's a bit better solution. Like, if you want to study yourself then you are not going to find what is best to study and how to be great and all.

But, if there is a mentor who doesn't teach you, but just shows you what you need to study, like a syllabus or something where you have a path to study and then you take it from there and start studying yourself? That would be a lot better and would give you a good return for sure. I did just that, I had a friend who was great at this, and asked him what to study, he told me, and I googled and found my way into studying myself.

actually some of my family members are involved in trading so I learned from them and is my thought that a person will must first learn and if he acknowledged everything and realized that he is now able to get cash back in trading should engage in such activities. At some of the stages many people loss money, some of them learn from these defeat and some also loss their hope. I think that this is not a suitable time to get cash Bach because market is not so good, if you are trying to get benefits from trading then just wait for the market to again reestablish itself

For newbie traders to learn.

I want to have a broader knowledge about this because I do not want to be discussing partially about what I did when I wanted to learn crypto trading.

First thing first, this is what I did.
I learn trading myself, using articles and videos from trading sites. It was fun for me because I like to learn if it is about what could earn me money.

After learning trading, I trade. I learn derivative trading as well. But what later happened was that I was losing. I do lost in gambling since 2014 until I had control over it, gambling took money from me, but I had more money in 2019 and trading has taking more from me until I gained more experience about what trading is before my losses reduced and profit increases.

How about you people that had a tutor, were you able to be taught in a way you do not lose in the beginning? I only started to make profit some months ago and till now though, but I lost for almost 2 to 3 years. Maybe tutoring can help to avoid losses?
I learned how to trade on my own as well, however I suppose that those that had a tutor were able to avoid some of the most obvious and glaring mistakes that many newbies traders will do as their tutor will be able to warn them against them beforehand, an example of this is the use of leveraging trading, that while it can increase your profits it can also make you to accumulate massive losses, and it is almost impossible for a newbie to make money when using leverage but if they have a tutor he could remind them about this and prevent them from losing their money this way.

No tutor will teach you to lose at the beginning. of course, they will teach you to win otherwise you wouldn't pay them anymore as a mentor.
What strategy that the mentor taught may not work all the time as the market changes.

I bought a tutorial video online back in the days when the tutor teaches a strategy that works mostly on the Forex market. I applied it all the time and then I lose. This is when he says, it's now up to me to learn from the loss. Eventually, they will release you to the wild where you are on your own and you trade by yourself.

A good teacher or mentor is assumed to have lost in the past and know the causes of their lost, Learnt from experience and now want to help newbies avoid losses.
Just like OP didn't have a mentor and lost for almost 3years. If he wants to mentor someone, he must have known the does and the don't and won't allow his subjects lose money.

It is good we learn from a mentor, we shouldn't underrate mentorship.

No tutor will teach you to lose at the beginning. of course, they will teach you to win otherwise you wouldn't pay them anymore as a mentor.
What strategy that the mentor taught may not work all the time as the market changes.

Studying the video tutorial at the beginning you were successful, so there's nothing wrong with the tutorial, it's just how you can develop based on the essence of the video tutorial. if you apply it again and lose you really have to learn again. Each trader has their own strategy, you can develop it yourself. don't depend too much on other people, you need to hone your analytical skills to be able to trade all the time by getting some profits. Losing is also common, but make sure you win more than you lose.

You can follow and apply how your tutor works during his trade but don't think that you will have the same outcome, the best thing here is you will understand how things work and you will be able to adopt and adjust each time you see that the market is not favoring you, there are many available outlets that you can learn how to trade properly and aside from that you can also have someone who can guide you.

But just like what you mentioned, it's better not to dwell that much with your tutor, as eventually you need to decide on your own and it's better to work your way to learn more about the business.
