If this is true. You are probably on the addiction acceptance phase which you are just gambling base on your urge due to addiction and not on winning. It's odd to have this kind of thinking because the reason why most of the people that became interested on gambling is due to potential quick profit and removing this goal on gambling is like you are turned into zombie that playing blindly.

This is based on my experienced and the people I asked about their motives when they started to play, majority of them are playing and taking their chance to make money, even if they say they want to have fun they are still motivated to make money because there are opportunities to make money on gambling it's being presented to you, but once you understand the house edge and your chances to win against the house you will realize that you have to shift your mindset from making money to just enjoy the game, that is after you lose huge money, and chasing losses is futile.

I don't and I'm an addicted gambler.

There are many factors that drives me to gamble, sometimes it's all about my gut feel that I'll win. Relieving stress but I have gone and removed long time ago about me taking big wins in gambling.

All gamblers want to win gambling, I don't believe they don't think about winning gambling. Maybe others don't expect to win gambling, but somehow they still think "I hope I win or get the jackpot"

Although others gamble just for fun and the desire to win follows, for example, for me it's just a hobby for me I'll gamble with the budget I only have, but even so, I still hope that I will win or make me lucky in my gambling.

Money. For sure many of us  have the same drive. But also, there are people who are gambling for entertainment purposes and most of them are the rich ones. I keep myself motivated with lots of fun that I get whenever I gamble. I'm not addicted to it, I hardly do it 2-3 times per week but whenever I do it, I gamble for fun and with the money that's nothing to me. However, I keep a target of doubling or tripling my money and then I stop doing it. I have tripled my money most of the times and withdrew immediately because I am neither addicted not greedy when I do it. Sometimes, I triple it in half an hour, sometimes it goes on for a day, but I never try back to recover what's lost. That's a completely new approach by me and you should also adopt this habit.

Just a few bet here and there and am ok. I do not see myself at gambling houses every time like what you are doing. If not that I read where you said you have a pattern in place that make you control your gambling habit I would have said yours has turned into an addiction. For me, I mostly gamble on sportbetting, and live matches or virtual games to be precise, while taking advantage of the fluatuating constant change of odds since it is a live playing game, just for entertainment and fun, while giving it a chance looking forward to seeing of I could double some cash. I really hope I am not addicted to gambling even though I visit a casino online almost every week. Gambling has been a big part of my life since I am 18, and the rise of online gambling only increased that. In terms of hours I spend gambling each month, I think that some people would label me as an addict. But I also know that I can stop gambling for two weeks without thinking about it. Just now I was in bed for a week with covid and didn't once think about gambling. To me it's important to have my life under control and have fixed limits on how much I can gamble. As long as I am in control I am not addicted. The main motivation for me in gambling is to have excited games I can play with the chance of making some money on the side. My biggest wish is to one day win a big jackpot.

I don't gamble that much but I do know that most times when I do, I gamble just because I want to entertain myself but I always do it when I'm looking for a way to earn some cash ( but in rare occasions though). The maximum I've ever gambled was ~$50, I know it's small but I do that so as not to get addicted to it and I believe that ones I become addicted to it that fun vibes will no longer be there.

Just like you I mostly gamble if I have some extra penny and then if I am also bored that time. I then say to my self that this may be the perfect time to play a gambling. I don't expect to win big knowing that I only play with small amounts but if a win a couple of dollars then I am already happy with that and I will try to withdraw most of it.

50 dollars wasn't small for a small gambler like us but that is small for those who gamble with huge amounts. I don't even know if I reach that amount when playing. I think my max loss was only 30 dollars something. I just can't accept it whenever I lose amounts that I think big already. Back when I was a child there were games for the Nintendo Game boy which had some mini games which were basically slots machines (the regulations were not as hard as they are nowadays), I spent hours at those imaginary slots, so it is not a surprise to me nowadays I find the real thing to be fun as well. I am not addicted to gambling. I play games casually every once in a while and that’s it. I gamble mostly to pass the time and see if I am lucky. I don’t really have that crazy idea of getting rich from gambling because it is a terrible thought which can make you lose everything you got.

Gamblers should be reasonable and have realistic expectations from the bets they make. Being greedy is the worst mistake you can make when you are gambling.

That is actually true. Most gamblers are just in it for the money and they do not have any relistic approach to what the risks they taking in relation to what they can potentially earn. And even worst, mos do not even have a proved technique and are just betting on a chase of profits that are off hand. Yes it is true, greed is the first mistake of a gambler.

The fact is almost everyone gamble for fun but along the line we can make good money from outcome having that fun, which is one majkr reason why most gamblers without self-control run into addiction.

But basically, the motive behind my gsmbling activities is just for fun and if I most belong to football matches, I will bet on my favourite club which am supporting most especially if I know and have a good underlying analysis of the teams involved.

Spinning slots (and buying bonus rounds) is also entertaining, just a bit more (or a lot) expensive. Playing poker is interesting in more than one way, except the gambling part there are those emotions about outsmarting other players. Sports betting, at least for us who played some sports, comes like something natural thing, we simply enjoy watching some games and following our favorite teams.

I guess it's good when it's entertainment, when becomes more than that it's usually heading to some serious problems.
