Havent heard about the aforementioned website by you before. Is that company safe? I just went through their app on the playstore through the official link provided on their own site, and guess what? No reviews. I wouldn't trust such apps. If anyone even wants to try it out make sure you dont do it on your personal device, your privacy and security might be at risk.

As far as I know the days of no-KYC bitcoin debit cards are over. Regulations are simply far more stricter today than years ago. Back then we had decently reputable ones like Wirex and Xapo, but today? I'd be highly skeptical of such services that doesn't require KYC.

I think that the title of your post is misleading because from what I could understand they don't offer debit cards but instead prepaid/gift cards and there's a difference between those.

There are still some attempts, but even if they are legit, I don't expect them to keep working in the long run.

I think if we're back to 2016-2018 or even earlier, this is still applicable but these days, it's very unlikely. Just the perfect example are those centralized exchanges that don't bother asking KYC before but now, they do.

And the same goes to the casinos that don't mind asking kyc before but many of them have become compliant. So, just as the bitcoin debit cards, if it's non-kyc required today. Then, expect that someday it will as they update their terms and agreement/usage.

Recently I commented on a thread asking for a decentralized crypto wallet app that supports debit cards or alternatives on Liberty Reserve I think if this is safe, it could be recommended on that thread but unfortunately --I did not experience using this first.
However, it seems this company was years in service, based on who.is it was registered on 2016-04-23 and I think that long enough prove its legitimacy.

These are NOT debit cards they are Visa GIFT cards. You can get them from a lot of places.
Take a look at egifter.com coinsbee.com and many others.

Other then the 2 above I do not remember which ones have the cards.

Be away of country / region restrictions. You may not even be able to get to the card redemption site from foreign IPs.

They barely launched their business at the start of the year and didn't get any traction as it seems from the number of downloads, the apple store page has a few more reviews but I have the feeling those are written by the members of the team themselves, too many at the launch in late March early April and a huge pause after that. Even if it's a good product and not a scam if it has no usage you won't see any real feedback on it, and since they don't really offer anything new as the others mentioned, probably you won't see that many people using it from now on either.

Where we are unable to use centralized exchange without KYC, using a debit card without KYC is a nightmare. I looked everywhere but couldn't find a reliable source. I'm not familiar with this site, which appears to be fairly new. I'm not going to risk it.

I'll download the app on iOS and play with it a little to see how that goes, considering I have a use for both gift cards and prepaid cards. I hope I won't have to interface with Yet Another Wallet Software such as metamask.

Update: It looks like I can buy phone topup and some gift cards I don't need with it, but there are no prepaid cards, and there are no iTunes gift cards for sale either (hammer blow).

Agreed and if @libert19's suggestion is also really a reputable debit card, how long can they stay no KYC before taking action and ask for their users for KYC to go through the compliance nightmare imposed by the regulators?

My suggestion would be to use the debit card for small amount of coins only. If you need to store them to a centralized service, send only an amount you are willing to lose.

That's definitely inevitably going to happen once the service gets big enough. I'm pretty sure other platforms that are far less monitored by regulators in the past have been forced to require AML/KYC even if they don't want to (e.g. LocalBitcoins, ShapeShift, etc).

Is it possible that they simply bought the domain from somebody else? From the Crunchbase link, it is stated that they were founded in 2021, so the year does not check out (CMIIW, I'm not familiar with how DNS registration work). Their Twitter was also registered in 2021, so that's that.

They have a decent amount of followers on Twitter though, but it is hard to tell whether they bought it or not. But anyway the app itself has been downloaded at least a thousand times. If they started in 2016 and just managed to get at least 1k users, that's not really successful IMO. I'd definitely check them out if there is no need to download an app to buy a gift card, just like how most of their competitor works.

I just checked Wayback Machine and the first snapshot of the page goes all the way back to Augsut 2018 when there was some kind of bitcoin equipment store on that domain, meaning they obviously bought it later on (the first working snapshot with them goes back to April 2022).

Not that all of this is very important anyway as they didn't claim to be operating more than they can prove, which would be a red flag.

Things are looking good for this project they started on the right foot by having a good domain name and they are funded by companies on their homepage

We've raised ~2.1M with about 21% coming from awesome members of the Bitcoin Community.

The only thing missing is marketing and reaching out to the Cryptocurrency community I expect them go full blast when the market is steady, unlike those ICO we are seeing in the altcoin section their team is transparent on who they are and they have the expertise behind them.
