I was thinking on the lines of Austria giving 100% in their group games and playing extremely well (and much more beyond their capacity) therefore they will run out of steam against a determined Turkiye side. About the Swiss, I also expect them to push Italy hard and maybe even win the game but Italy have not played well during this tournament and still made it to the knockout stages therefore I did not want to write them off.
This is a fantastic tournament therefore if we see some upsets happening it will only add to the excitement.
I hope so mate. I wouldn't like us to get destroyed by Austria again. The result of the friendly we played against them just before Euro 2024 comes to my mind. It was crazy to concede 6 goals.

But it was a friendly of course so we will see.
Italy are the last champions but they have lost quite much strength since then. But it is really hard to be sure of a side in that match. I agree with that. If Italy get past Switzerland, England are very likely to become their opponent. Just as the finale in Euro 2020.

Hey CLS63, didn't know you are Turkish, but that's pretty awesome given that I am from Germany and there is a damn lot going on with the Turks these days! Amazingly intense atmosphere and wouldn't it be awesome if the Germans meet the Turks in the tournament?
But Austria is a hard nut to crack. The friendly doesn't really count that much, but it was at a little indicator that Austria has improved a lot while Turkey hasn't been doing that well in recent years.
But then again this is a totally different atmosphere at these tournaments. Look at Georgia against Portugal or Poland against France or Belgium against Ukraine or or or... You get the point. I think it is great to see that the favorites are just steamrolling all the other teams. It's really a situation where it is not 100% clear that England would beat Slovakia or the Netherlands would beat Romania. If you saw the game Romania - Belgium, I was really impressed by Romania's relentless resistance and how they produced chances that could have given them the equalizer.
Looking forward to all the games as being a no name on paper obviously doesn't mean being a no name on the pitch.
