Starting this thread, because i am losing the will!!

Aware slightly repeating myself, but, in the vein hope of some helpful, simple answer....

Blockchain ( i now see ) is not as easy as a 'wallet' to setup. It requires documents to be sent etc.

So, shall i proceed?

PLEASE ADVISE....As i see, just setting this up, asks me,  'do i want to buy' etc etc....i dont want any of that!

All i ever want to do, is, simply get a blockchain address, give it to this blasted casino, withdraw my few hundred euro winnings into it.  Thats it.

I do not want to have to upload any of my own money into it etc....i literally, just want to withdraw winnings and then 'try' and change that into cash ( thats for another thread ).

That's it.

SO - shall i proceed with Blockchain?  ( it does..make..sense..with what casino was saying earlier - in another thread - about needing my 'public' account number etc..whereas i was giving them my Wasabi details ..so in a way..i was told incorrectly on this forum...or...well..i..being new...asked totally the wrong questions...

If some kind soul could please just answer me that. Blockchain, ok for me to proceed? wont cost me anything ? best case i get my winnings? worse case, i spent a bit of time sending some documents to setup the  blockchain.  (or does it open up a can of worms? )

The block chain is the main innovation of Bitcoin. It is the first distributed timestamping system.

Which site are you trying to withdraw the funds from?

I'm not sure I totally understand what you're trying to achieve here, but if you're just trying to withdraw your funds from a site to a bitcoin wallet, then you don't necessarily need an account with blockchain.com. Any wallet would be fine, Electrum is a good choice.

If you go with Blockchain.com, then verifying your identity is not really required, unless you're planning to use their exchange to convert your bitcoin back to fiat.

Thanks for the reply.

The casino is just a europeon ( i think ) chain of licences, like PlentyOfFish. Midnight Wins, same setup each time. Behind scenes havent a clue, but have rarely got back tiny winnings, but lost more.

Ive tried the Wasbie....but upshot is,  they said, blockchain.

SO, thats my question, i need to give Blockchain a go.

So, OMEGASTARSREAM, in your opinion, is it ok then, i just plum ahead, look into this blockchain/ idenity or not..i just click on the site there to see overall view of it...   You mentioned 'convert back to 'fiat'  Whats 'FIAT'?   If that is, cash...then..yes, ideally, i dont want bitcoin, i want my cash winnings, just casino wont give it too me..hence trying this route they recommend.

I will wait for a few more replies, hopefully, sorry for annoying the forum..but its on my mind..and i want my cash!!!! more a principal now to be honest disgusted with the casino messing me about.

Your post is extremely confusing. Will you make a cryptocurrency withdrawal from the casino site? Is the sum significant? Are you planning on withdrawing Bitcoin? Blockchain has recently experienced some issues that make it not completely secure. Create a non-custodial wallet, such as Electrum, to receive your winnings if they are in Bitcoin. You can send it anywhere from Electrum. If you want to cash out your Bitcoin, you must use a peer-to-peer exchange. You can later use Binance to sell your Bitcoin for local currency (Fiat). So, in order to get a proper answer from here, please answer these questions. And don't worry, just read the posts here to find a solution. If you are dealing with large sums of money, you should purchase a Ledger hardware wallet where you can receive any type of coin.

It's hard to understand what you're trying to say but I think your coins have been banned from depositing them because they are from casino, right?

I will answer your question in general, which is how do I increase the privacy of my withdrawal bitcoins.

the best way.

  • Download Electrum Wallet, link https://electrum.org/#download
  • After downloading the wallet, click on the Standard wallet option, and then I have a private key.
  • Go to Chipmixer website, you will find the links here https://chipmixer.com/ or TOR
  • Send them your coins and you will get private keys.
  • Paste those keys to your Electrum Wallet

Hello there!

It looks like you have created several topics today, and all the questions are related to one another. Don't do that.

withdrawing bitcoin - newbie - advice welcome
Metrobank....bitcoin?
BLOCKCHAIN? and wheres the Hash?
PUBLIC ACCOUNT NUMBER FOR WASABI WALLET - Newbie question..
BLOCKCHAIN account- Newbie - how to get one?

I think you are trying to cover too many different questions at once, which can make it difficult for others to follow the conversation and offer helpful responses. It might be more effective to focus on one topic at a time, especially since some members have already tried to assist you. This way, the discussion can stay organized and focused, making it easier for everyone to contribute and offer support.

It might be a good idea to continue the discussion in one of your previous topics and lock all other topics. You can find the option to lock the topic in the lower left corner of the website.

I am very very sorry if my posts are confusing. If anything i try to make them very straightforward albeit in a World i find VERY CONFUSING!!!

But i do apprecaite the replies, but would love to have a very simple answer, a tendacy to confuse when really im asking a very very simple question.

- Overall i probably could get 400euros sitting in a casino.

- Despite trying to withdraw- the casino has said, use Blockchain, ( I mentioned Wasabie..they said, some of their customers use that and works....HOWEVER...when i add the code for the withdrawal it doesnt work. Casino Help had a look...said, use blockchain. )

- I looked at blockchain...what a messy thing...camera/i.d. etc etc  ( confusing )#

 - Nutshell.   I want to withdraw money from casino, once i have that, i want to convert it into cash. And then..i want nothing ever to do with casino or bitcoin.

Thats it.

So, advice welcome?

I don't know why the posts above are mentioning things like Electrum and Tor. All you are doing is adding more confusion to an already very confused newbie.

So, advice welcome?
For the third time, share the name of the casino and a screenshot of the withdrawal page and what they are asking for. There is absolutely no difference between a Wasabi address and a Blockchain.com address, and indeed the casino has no way whatsoever to know what wallet your address comes from. It sounds like they are trying to scam you.

The only thing the casino needs to process a bitcoin withdrawal is your address. If they say they need more than this, then they are trying to scam you.

The code for withdrawal? I'm guessing you're referring to bitcoin addresses? You might be using an address type that is not supported by the site. What does your receiving address look like?

As for Blockchain.com then sadly, there are other services out there, but most of them require you to go through ID verification, selfies, etc. if you want to convert your funds to euros. There are some services that you can use to avoid that, but you'll be dealing with individuals in that case, not sure if that's something you want.

As mentioned above, this can be a scam. Are you sure the website you're using is legit? It would help if you could tell us the site's name.

Hi, speaking my language, thank you.

I think ive now annoyed the casino ( as well as this forum ) , so fat chance of getting anything.

But, the casino, mentioned before, is a chain of sorts, using a licence, i assume different operators, so Plenty Of Fish, Midnight Wins to name just two of many its all the same thing. If you went onto the withdraw page..youll see nothing other than standard screens, 'withdraw' couple options, mastercard ( which as mentioned, 'techn. issues with' ) and Bitcoin - between 150 - 500euros  ( a blank row to add the 'address' and then the amount.  Thats it.

Nothing special.   I placed the Wasabi address in there...starting with ' bc1qu....etc'   and the button to withdraw stayed 'grey'. So, i do think its a legit thing in that, the address isnt correct.

The Help chap, had a look, removed 'bc'  but still didnt work.   It's here they mentioned about the Public Address.

So, your telling me, any Blockchain or Electrum etc address will look the same.....so....pointless doing that.  The fact i would want it converted to 'cash' means i dont mind doing the ID process etc etc   just it does appear...but i am very keen not to add any money to any account, i only want to withdraw.

Bro, any casino won't ask you to receive Bitcoin to any specific wallet. So make sure you aren't getting scammed by the casino. Bitcoin addresses all are the same doesn't matter where you generate them. So answer the below question.

1. What is the Casino name where you win? Feel free to share the website if possible if it's not a phishing site.
2. Share the withdrawal page screenshot, and hide your personal information.

Then we can say what's going on actually.

Got your problem. You need an address starting with '1' or '3'. They don't support segwit address. So better use address starting with 1 which is legacy address. So yea, use Electrum and create legacy wallet.

OK, just stop right there. Multiple members have asked you to specify the casino in question at least six times so far, but you have not provided an answer. (I checked your other threads as well.) Why are you avoiding this question? Providing necessary information is important for the discussion to be productive and helpful and it can be frustrating when important details are not shared.

THANK YOU - all for your replies, and sorry (dec )your read my 6 posts!

I will try this Electrum..however...the site did say, their withdrawal process requires an address ( words to that effect - and mentioned that Blockchain ), so i suspect the string of letter even Electrum will generate will not suffice ( but i will give it a go ).

I do not want to give the name of the actual site. Why you ask ? - There is no reason at all for me not mentioning, who cares so to speak, but  because I am currently emailing them as well as in this very forum mentioning my issues with them, and right now, the name is not of issue BECAUSE, as mentioned several times now,  the site in question goes under the same banner / licence as many others.  eg, Plenty Of Fish, Midnight Wins, Yummy Wins - they are ALL THE SAME ( same licence. How it works behind the scenes i do not know ).

They are not on Gamstop  so not like WilliamHill or Ladbrokes etc.  Again, no lectures please, I am only too well aware.

But - I HAVE HAD a few Ttiny wins on some, deposited via mastercard, but, yes, much more loses, more fool is me.

I hope that answers your question, i have a screenshot of 'withdrawal page' but..How can i attach it to this??? -   it is standard anyway, and will tell you nothing tbh.

But perhaps if you could take a look then, seeing as youve asked.

In meantime i will try this Electrum ( i have again requested a normal mastercard withdrawal..i await the 'technicial issues email reply ).

Failing that, and failing Electrum, i may have to resort to the messy Blockchain ( which i admit, IF EVER, i got the money, i would have to use anyway to convert to FIAT ..as im learning! ).

Apprecaite your replies, and any help.

How can i insert a image into this thing?

I tried Electrum - i knew from the start it woudlnt work because the series of numbers, starting, bc ETC...is the SAME as what is generated via Wasabi.

So, the reason i am asking, the same questions, is i suppose because im not getting the right info back. Again VERY grateful for any replies, but why tell me that Electrum likley work over Wasabi..when same code basically generated??  you mentioned 'create a legacy wallet'...what option was that?  make a difference.

IF -someone could check out, plenty of fish casino or Midnight wins - they would see the generic template.

SO....the casino.....did mention...an 'address' ( i said this at the very start really ), for withdrawals thats what they need....and they mentioned Blockchain.

SO...before i go to the hassle of doing that....will Blockchain allow me to ( simply ) generate an 'address' i can put into this blasted Casino?  ( similar to Wasabi and Electrum..as easy as that?  or do i need to 'understand' a lot more IF i did setup a Blockchain?

AND FINALLY,  IF, i setup blockchain...it looks like it expects me to insert money?Huh  that the case?   before i start?    because i dont want to do that...the only money i want to add is from the casino.  SO - will it let me do that?

send 0.0001 btc  to this address

1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

this is an old legacy address on blockchain.com wallet  have had it for 9-10 years

if the casino lets you send the 0.0001 btc to

https://www.blockchain.com/explorer/addresses/btc/1JdC6Xg3ajT3rge3FgPNSYYFpmf53Vbtje

you know they are not scammers

if they won't send the coin there they are likely to be scammers.

Yeah I know I am asking for about $1.70 usd to do the test, but if you view the address it has been around and it does work. It is my

blockchain address opened in 2013.  If the send works we can figure a way to get the rest.

As for setting up blockchain.com it can be done without putting anything in it.

I suspect the casino is only paying to legacy address's

They usually begin with 1

Oh I don't give a fuck about the $1.70.

I will make sure you get it back. Maybe with PayPal or a gift card or something else

btc addresses

with 1 = legacy
with bc1 = segwit

with 3 = script hash

There are currently three address formats in use in Bitcoin mainnet:

P2PKH (Pay 2 Public Key Hash) which begin with the number 1

P2SH (Pay 2 Script Hash) type starting with the number 3.

Bech32 type starting with bc1.

philip, hi, and thanks.

You can only withdraw between amounts 150 - 500 euro.

I did insert that address, and the 'button' is still greyed out.  I copied address with 'http..etc '

But 'they' did say, starts with numbers...you mentioned 'legacy addresses'  - yes...that sounds about right.  But i dont know what that means.

(IF) they are true to their word, then what they are saying is consistant..and im the one downloading wallets and putting in long 'bc' numbers etc

The screen ( which i dont know how to insert image ), basic as metioned and generic to many other sites as mentioned, but says,

WITHDRAW
LIMITS 150 - 500 EURO

BTC ADDRESS
( insert bitcoin address )

Add the amount.

THAT PAY2 PUBLICKEY HASH   - that sounds like the one.  And goes with the mention of 'hash' which i mentioed on this forum. SO - how do i get one of those?

It appears that you are mistaken about what a Bitcoin address is. A Bitcoin address is not a URL and does not start with "http". Instead, a Bitcoin address can only begin with the numbers 1 or 3, or the letters "bc1". It seems that you may not fully understand the concept of a Bitcoin address.

P2PKH (Pay 2 Public Key Hash) is another name for addresses that start with the number 1. To avoid technical jargon, I suggest that you refer to this type of address as a "legacy address".

Dont worry Marv i know only too well how little i know about all things bitcoin and truth be told the more i know the less im liking it!

What I have finally established though is this P2PKH.    It is this that they are after..pretty sure of it.  SO, my question is now,  how I go about getting one of these. I have downloaded Wasbie and Electron - both generating for me 'bc' codes....which are not being accepted.

SO...how can I get this P2PKH 'address'  ( 'they'  casino have said use Blockchain ( and another one which i cannot recall ) ...so....it that what i must do?  create a blockchain account ( wait for id to be confirmed etc etc ), and THEN...finally.....can i SIMPLY get this blasted 'address' give it too the casino and get my few hundred pounds in 'bitcoin' ( which i dont want! i want cash!! ).

IF - the above sentence IS correct, thats what i need to do - then...to create a blockchain account must i insert monies or..is there anything i need to be aware of?  I have no desire or intention of using it other than to try get some monies from casino onto it - which i then want to convert ( somehow ) into 'real money.

If anyone can just answer me, the first part, how i get this P2PKH address and if i need to put money into it to 'start it off' so to speak ( i see when i tried joining was asking , my intention to buy bitcoin etc ( which i have no intention of doing whatsoever )

SO...how can I get this P2PKH 'address'
as I recall, safepal wallet provides 3 address options that you can choose from. one of them is the legacy address you are looking for. maybe you can use it. you only need to choose the address that you will use.
the problem is I think you want to withdraw your money, but you are playing at a crypto casino. which of course will require the address of your wallet to make a withdrawal.
how do you make a deposit? with fiat or crypto transfers?

First, let's focus on one problem at a time. Are you absolutely sure that you need a P2PKH (legacy) address? Have you tried using the address "1JdC6X..." suggested by philipma1957? Is the button still grayed out?

Btw, I still don't understand why you don't want to reveal which casino platform it is. That would make solving your problem much easier for us.
