Suggestion - to Founders and Admins, Create a ChildBoard "Games in Blockchain"

i want to sugest, to creators and admins to create a child board about Games in Blockchain, as subchild Mining and others,

I think the context about games in blockchain each day is bigger , and i, as a gamer, miss that. If possible will be awesome.

It's very simple, if the game is on Bitcoin then Gambling board and if it's altcoin chain then as I said above, it goes to altcoin section.

If this happens, it's likely that our discussion of something in the crypto space will be more focused.

TBH, I think it's really irrelevant to use that board, it's better for the board to be for L-1 blockchains, we know that crypto space is growing fast, every L-1 has its own ecosystem like Blockchain Games they have, DEXs, NFTs and there are many others.

Can't you see that the average ANN on the first page is the ANN about Blockchain L-1? To be honest, I'm just afraid that we (as a forum) can't keep up with the developments that are happening out there, I'm sure, with the Blockchain Games & NFTs special board, our discussions about these things will get better.

I'm a bit confused by suggesting it for your local board, but if I were you, I would've built a good case by compiling a lot of "existing" threads that'd fit into this specific category ^{[if it's good enough to fill up more than a few pages, you might have a chance]}!

ANN is a real mess and blockchain games are becoming popular, if not now but we need a separate child board for that in the future. The more this blockchain gaming will be popularize the more topics and discussions will created on this forum. Also, developers and companies will come here to advertise their games.

There is nothing bad about agreeing to others opinions, but when there are more topics about blockchain gaming along with other Altcoin and ANN threads, it will be really difficult for forum users to focus on one thing.

The decision is there but the discussion is ours, let us discuss it and they will notice. If they think a child board for blockchain gaming is needed, they will create one.

OP, do you ask this suggestion for your local board or for global board?

If it is for your local board, I think it is no need for a specific board since you can discuss it on your main board. The main board can cover general issues/matters which aren't related to the child boards. For local boards, I think we don't need too many child boards, it is unnecessary. We have limited members on local boards. We can discuss it in global boards which are related to the topics, we already have some child boards about games in the marketplace board.

Theymos rarely new boards, except when he adds them for new languages when there's enough demand.  As for child boards and anything dealing with non-bitcoin subjects, I suspect he's not eager to add any more than already exist. 

I can't say I know much about blockchain games or what their future prospects are, but even if they were scorching hot right now, it'd still be way too early to add a subsection.  Same thing with NFTs.  Can you imagine if Theymos had added an ICO child board back in 2018?  ICOs were a popular fad, but that's all they turned out to be, and it took quite a bit of time to determine that.  In hindsight, currently irrational people might come to realize that there's nothing special or collectible about digital art that just happens to be linked to a blockchain.  See my point?

There have been many, many proposals for new sections over the years and I'm not sure if I've ever seen one acted on by Theymos.  That's what you're up against, OP.

You can use Criptomoedas Alternativas section to discuss blockchain games in your language. I see almost no activity there, so having a dedicated subsection for only a small part of altcoins is not necessary.

For the global part, there are various threads about blockchain games in Altcoin Discussion, Service Announcements (Altcoins) and Service Discussion (Altcoins). Unless they are so numerous that they overshadow other topics, don't expect a dedicated board for "blockchain games".

It is true that nobody here on the forum will want to be left behind in time. And I think that in general this has not happened.

Now, the issue with NFT games is that almost all that exist, the focus is not on the game but on making money with a token. Ending up looking more like a system to earn money than a game.

Nothing against the money making factor, what I regret is that they use the term game for this purpose. When most of what exists has little to no gameplay. And that's why they are only really profitable when new players are coming in, when that's over, the game almost disappears.

Therefore, it is difficult to distance these NFT games from other altcoins. And while it is like that, perhaps the emergence of a new board dedicated to this topic is more difficult.

This is a forum about Bitcoin in the first place, so all attention is directed towards Bitcoin and things related to it, while the rest of Altcoin is all secondary to the forum.

We already have a wide choice of sections in the forum, so I don't think the forum admins are too interested in adding new sections.
In addition (my own opinion) Blockchain games have a lot of scam and adding them here may cause unintended harm to some users.
