The 23rd round of the SPL between Al Ittihad and Al Hazem will start tomorrow, but  I wouldn't be surprised if Al Hazem loses in this round because they lost 4-0 to Al Nassr in a previous match, which resulted in Al Nassr regaining the top spot in the SPL. The bottom line is that Al Hazem's home performance is particularly worrying because we can see that they have recorded three wins, one draw and six losses in their home matches. Regarding Al nassr, I really don't understand why Felix's goal-scoring productivity always declines the longer he plays for a club. this isn't just happening here at Al-nassr but also at his previous clubs. I hope he can return to being the productive player he was at the start of the season.

The competition is very tensed in the SPL this season between the 3 teams and initially now, Al Ahli just won their match against Damac today and climbed to the top which is a very big challenge on Al Nassr and Al Hilal who were ahead of them before, so they also need to win in order to come back to their positions. Joao Felix was very lively in scoring goals towards the early part of the season but suddenly he declined and i was even thinking that maybe he is not played often in matches or probably had an injury, it never occurred to me that he lost form which is the reason why he hasn't been visible again for a very long time. I believe he will revitalize himself and start scoring goals again which is what we want to be seeing in him.

If Joao Felix returns to his goal scoring form, Al-nassr will automatically become more productive this season in terms of scoring more goals and winning matches. Just like at the start of the season. Felix has potential that I think even exceeds what we expected. He just seems to need more confidence. Because in some matches, his accuracy hasn't been as good as usual. Maybe he's just unlucky. And well, I hope he truly returns to his best form. Because Al-Nassr will be truly extraordinary if all of Al-Nassr's frontline players become more productive again. Although Al-Nassr is already heading in that direction.

Al Ittihad had a very unbelievable decline in this season and losing Benzema to Al Hilal only makes remaining matches of this season worse for their club. In Saudi Professional League, top four clubs a very closely with each other and they are competing tightly for Saudi Professional League title. Al Ittihad has downtrend performance before losing Karim Benzema and has many gap points with the top standings, as the defending champion last season  Al Ittihad not perform well for this season behind many gap points with Al Hilal and this season Al Ittihad has loss 6 of 22 games. Seems all over for Al Ittihad to defend tittle this season because loss many points and consistent performance from Al Hilal and Al Nassr so far, interested with the top fourth of Saudi Pro League has few points remaining and each week always have difference team leading the top position.
Al Ahli victory against Damac in this week success moving to first position has 2 points left with Al Nassr but has one match left and if can get three points will back to top place, Al Qadisiyah back to the tittle race after getting victory and right now has 3 points remaining with Al Ahli.

Any team that can't get a win in a crucial week will have their position taken by another team. We have seen that in Al Hilal, how they could not get a victory and in the end their position had to be shifted by 2 teams at once, Al Ahli and Al Nassr. But honestly, I personally want to see AL Nassr become the champion.

Something interesting is that when you search for all the champions of the Saudi professional league, you see that Al Ahli won the Saudi league in the 15/16 season. This means that Al Ahli hasn't won the Saudi league in 10 years, while Al Nassr hasn't won it in 7 years. Al Hilal, on the other hand, has only gone one season without winning the Saudi league. In other words, Al Nassr and Al Ahli are the teams that should be most committed to fighting for the title.

So, I think now all the teams have to put more efforts as they can stable their positions. But Al-Nassr is my most favourite team and I think they deserved to be the winner or holding the first position. And the number of goals which is left is also less for Cristiano Ronaldo in chasing his the most goal scorer. He will also work hard to achieve his target soon and this will helps the team as well. And their is also many talented players serving Al-Nassr.

Al Hilal really declined in performance because this is not the fierce Al Hilal that was very brutal against every team including the big teams in the league. The funny part is that Al Hilal hasn't lost any competitive match this season in all competition but it's surprising how they keep playing draw in most of their matches lately. I am also starting to sense something from what is happening to Al Hilal, it looks like a plan in order for Al Nassr to win the league after the protest of Cristiano Ronaldo when he complained about his team not getting enough support as Al Hilal does, maybe they want to honor him with the title before he leaves the Saudi league.

In one of my previous posts, I had pointed out that Al Hilal has a number of tough matches coming up. The one against Al Taawoun was the first one. Next they are up against Al Shabab this Saturday. On the other hand, Al Nassr will play against a weak Al Najma in a few hours from now, and in case they win that match they will confirm their position as the table toppers with 58 points. Al Ahli has 56 and Al Hilal has 55 at the end of 23rd round. And Al Nassr has weak teams as opponents in their next few rounds. After Al Najma, they will play against Al Fayha on 1st March. And after that they have a match against NEOM.
