We don't hear much about the Chinese league because they embarked on a signing spree that wasn't going to be sustainable. They were signing big European players even when they know they don't have the financial strength to pay the high wages for s period of time. The Saudi League is different and won't end that way. Right now, they're getting lucrative TV right deals from different companies that are very much interested in broadcasting and streaming their live matches. Again the time difference of China I think contributed to why the league couldn't get more popular then because in most football loving regions of the world, matches in China are played in the late night. Saudi League I think will continue to grow and not lose the current global attention they're getting just like we saw in the Chinese league

It is also about success, AFC is the Asian version of UCL, and Saudi league does well there, sometimes they win, sometimes they do not, but they do fine. China never does, I do not see any Chinese teams winning that, and that is why Saudis are much better at this.

I concur with your assertions here. As an observer who has payed strong attention to the way most of these leagues are operating. I've come to the understanding, the distinctive differences between the Chinese league and the Saudi Pro League is the significant use of old players who are almost at their retirement age and are signed from the European league to the Chinese league especially during the periods of 2016 to the end of 2020, the CSL embarked on an unprecedented spending spree on those veteran players with massive contract deals, an example of such deals was the transfer of Carlos Tevez to the Shanghai team, the signing of Mikel John Obi to the Tianjin from Chelsea, Didier Drogba from Chelsea to Shanghai after winning the champions league, Levezzi, Fellani and a host of other top players who were already signaling their retirements, hardly can you mention a young player which is signed to the league while he was on top of his prime game unlike we see today with players like Jaoa Felix, Ruben Neves, Neymar Jr., Ivan Toney and the likes of Koulibaly and Eduardo Mendy who are at the prime of their careers.

LOL.. it is a never ending flow of star players from European leagues to the Saudi Professional League. I am just waiting for European users to post their usual shit (such as Saudis with their petrodollars are stealing players from Europe  ). That said, Al Ittihad badly needed a good injection in the forward section. They lost Karim Benzema (moved to Al Hilal) a few months back, and after that the team's performance has been going down. Hopefully Salah can form a good partnership with Moussa Diaby, Youssef En-Nesyri and Steven Bergwijn, and this in turn can boost the performance of the club for the 2026-27 season.

So far, only those two names have been heard, if we examine it more deeply, Pep Guardiola has the lowest chance of being brought in by Al-Nassr, therefore Roberto Martinez has the greatest chance. After having some good careers in the game, most players were going to make the money in china, people like Odion Ighalo, Mikel Obi the former Chelsea player, Obafemi Martins too who has played for both  Inter Milan, Newcastle, Birmingham city and more European teams, Carlos Tevez too and Didier Drogba.

However, I think the Chinese FA weren't strategic like the Saudi Arabia. They believed more in spending the money without going for the real names that mattered. Saudi Arabia is bringing the world of football closer to themselves starting with Christiano Ronaldo's deal.
