Ronaldo does not give up easily even though he is already 40 years old, most players who are his age must have retired and their performance has clearly decreased drastically but he still shows determination and enthusiasm to be able to return home as a winner, even if he can not win the world cup title at least football history has recorded his name as the best player of his time and that does not change any facts, it is not easy to maintain strong stamina in the midst of energetic young players and we must acknowledge his greatness until now.

Absolutely, anyone who judges Cristiano Ronaldo's situation now is committing a mortal sin, because we remember his entire career. Now we are rightly at the end and it is not easy for him given his age to maintain performances at the highest level, in fact he has cleverly changed the way he plays.

Haters will pretend that a player's final years (40+ in Ronaldo's case, though for regular players it's up to 35) define his career. Even at this age, Ronaldo was able to win a title with Al Nasr and a Nations League title with Portugal. When it comes to his best years, he was an unstoppable machine, which is why he is Mr. Champions League and no other player even comes close. I hope he doesn't give up on his goal of reaching 1000 goals scored and that when he retires he will still have this record in his pocket.

I don't know why many people judge Cristiano Ronaldo during he was 40 years old but keep consistent scoring many goals for Al Nassr every season, he can perform well and easily for every season scoring above 20 goals as the players who have been 40 years old difficult keep on the top physical condition. Performance of Cristiano Ronaldo in World Cup 2026 not really bad after scoring 2 goals of 3 appearances indeed left many goals from top scorer but he always show top performance for every match playing.

Next season, Cristiano Ronaldo have challenge how to defend the Saudi Pro League tittle with Al Nassr and keep consistent scoring above 20 goals or not make him reach the 1000 goals record in his professional career.

Yes, Saudi Arabia could certainly adopt this approach if they are unable to find local players who are performing well. After all, many teams currently excelling at the World Cup rely heavily on player naturalization strategies. There is no reason why Saudi Arabia shouldn't do the same, especially given the number of high-performing footballers with Saudi heritage out there. I fully support Saudi Arabia utilizing this strategy.

However, we should also consider the local talent, as there may well be Saudi players delivering strong performances; the Saudi league has become highly competitive, which I am sure drives local players to work harder to secure their spots in their respective teams. Let’s see what steps Saudi Arabia takes in the coming years and evaluate the prospects then. Ultimately, given their financial resources, Saudi Arabia is certainly capable of achieving a great deal.

Saudi Arabia has been working on the project to improve the team for years, but finding natives who play football well is always very difficult, which is why they are struggling to find locals, and they are hiring natives or people of other nationalities to play with their team.

Well age is a factor too in his performance in the World Cup but then when you look at it, the right services are not coming. He his always making that run, always at where he needs to be but then his Portuguese team mate are really finding it difficult to play along side him. We saw him in the league this past season, how he competed amongst the best in the Saudi pro league, how he led Al Nassr to win the league. Al nassr team mates seems to understand him much better.
Be his a goal machine, and with the right services he will get the ball in the net for you. I just hope in their next game against Croatia his team mates to well by him and get the ball to him in good position.

Firing the whole federation workers, and replacing them with new ones due to world cup result was not smart, these were the people that brought them all the way here, they have done something good not bad.

The fact that they think if they had better people they could have gone higher, makes it look like they do not realize that they were not suppose to be even this good, they did better than hoped for and while yeah they may have gone up the group, they would have lost a game later, 1 game before or 1 game early doesn't really matter. In any case, unless they put some seriously great people in, this is not going to be fixed and I think they do not realize that, it is very important to see the difference right now.

I think it's natural for Ronaldo to experience this,, even though he trains diligently and maintains excellent discipline in everything. But when we talk about age, it's clear that it will certainly affect his performance, making him less than his former peak. That's why I think seeing Ronaldo play in this World Cup is truly extraordinary. He's over 40,, and he's clearly not young anymore.

In fact, many footballers at that age have become coaches. So, with that in mind, we shouldn't expect too much from Ronaldo's individual performance. He certainly won't be as good as he used to be. So,, I think what we should hope for now is that Ronaldo can reach the final of this World Cup with Portugal and win it. Regardless of whether Ronaldo can play well or not,, I don't think we need to think about that anymore. He's old.

Messi never did the PR that Ronaldo does, not at instagram, not at youtube, Ronaldo became a youtuber for Christ sake, that alone shows how much PR Ronaldo has. And while Messi did a spiderman marketing now, we do not normally see him that often neither.

So we can safely assume that we are not going to see Ronaldo being less liked than Messi. But if you look at stats that alone shows how much better Messi is, you may like Ronaldo, dude is great, he is the second best player in history of the world, nobody else ever was as good as him, not in the past, not now. But Messi will be first in my heart.

Yes what he and Messi are doing is crazy with that age keep competing at super high level and being a starter in a world cup for their national teams which are top ones is something that we were not expecting in the past, also i think we all know Cristiano and he already said this he wants to play his last Eurocup, so maybe is not his last dance with the national team.

He has scored 2 goals till now. But I have to say that I am slightly disappointed with his performance so far. Still, I couldn't find any age-related issues. It was mostly lack of co-ordination with other team members. The same happened at Al Nassr as well. One of the biggest issues for the Al Nassr management was that Ronaldo was not syncing well with other forwards such as Sadio Mané and Jhon Durán. Only when João Félix was added to the squad, this issue got resolved. Félix is part of the Portiguese squad as well and Ronaldo has a good co-ordination with him. But I can see a few issues when Ronaldo try to sync with players such as João Neves.

Right now they are no where near that stage where we could say they are a force to reckon with, even in the previous World Cup where they beat defending champions Argentina, they still got knocked out in the group stage and so there is still lots of work to be done in the Saudi national team as regards building momentum especially as they plan to host the world in the nearest future.
Those type of unexpected results do happen sometimes. I mean Germany failed to get out of the group stages on that world cup in 2022, and Cape Verde got out of the group stages on this one, and we can safely assume that it's clear that sometimes things like these do happen in world of football.

I think it's clear that we are going to see Saudis to stay in world cup almost every time, doubtful if they are going to miss 2030, they will probably be there, and in 2034 they will host, so they will be around and gain some experience.
Qualification has never being an issue for the Saudi national team and for almost five World Cup events they have successfully participated and they are regarded as one of the top teams in the Asian region but when it comes to competing in the main tournaments like the World Cup they haven't shown any sign of resilience hence the need to build a formidable squad even if it means coveting players from other nationalities just as the French usually do.

Absolutely, anyone who judges Cristiano Ronaldo's situation now is committing a mortal sin, because we remember his entire career. Now we are rightly at the end and it is not easy for him given his age to maintain performances at the highest level, in fact he has cleverly changed the way he plays.
It is only those with myopic sentiments who would want to make judgments based on this now, if you listen to them, it could be clearly stated how they are just biased and not true to their sense  of judgement,  probably because  they just  want to prove right a point, but that alone cannot be used against such a great figure as Ronaldo. His performance even at this age is such that some players out there many not be able to attain.

For me honestly I have stopped paying attention to any critics about him. I know what he has done and what he his also doing at this very age, so for I just enjoy the Goat performance each time I watch him. He just finished lifting the Saudi league not quite long and no he his giving his best at the World Cup. He his currently Portugal top scorer in the tournament, so for me It a big privilege girl to witness his playing era.

Next season he I can still vouch that Al nassr will be a serious contender in winning the league, Ronaldo also will play a huge part for them. World Cup or not it can change what I feel about Cristiano Ronaldo.

Cristiano Ronaldo is undoubtedly a great player, but we need to be realistic when comparing him to Messi. I know this is the kind of conversation where people let their emotions influence their judgment. In this World Cup, for example, we're seeing Messi scoring many goals, but we're not seeing Cristiano Ronaldo scoring many goals. And look, Portugal's squad has many good players, so Ronaldo isn't scoring many goals because of his weaknesses. But in this World Cup, the most important thing is playing collectively, not individually. Portugal shouldn't focus on Ronaldo, but rather on playing as a team to beat their opponents.

In big events like the World Cup team coordination is always important, but sadly, Portugal is always lacking in this just because of their poor coordination. They faced problems and have never had good results in Argentina. Messi is having good control, but his players always give good support.

In early games, the difference is clear: Portugal is having some problems, but Argentina is looking much stronger, but coming games are going to be more challenging from here. Can Portugal pick momentum and have a chance of success? It's going to be interesting while Argentina is looking; they are having a good chance of going into the last four because their opponents are not challenging like Portugal.

I understand, but they still have a long way to go. Look what they did in the World Cup; they did nothing. They just waited for things to happen, and absolutely nothing went their way. Then they were eliminated in the first round. I didn't see them make a difference. Maybe they need a couple more years for their technique to change. It's not easy because football is at a very high level now; other countries aren't far behind, they're always improving.

I see people coming out on X, Instagram and Facebook to drag Cristiano Ronaldo who have been the number one man for Portugal national team, he's the best player for Portugal and I dont see anybody coming on to replace this raw gem in the Frontline. What more could Portugal ask for? Ronaldo is aged but it doesn't mean he won't take his chances when he's up and ready to bang goals for Portugal.

I can't and will never drag such a professional player like Cristiano Ronaldo because he's no bot who happens to be correct all the time, he's human being and bound to make mistake, he would have good games and also bad ones but he will always deliver for the Portugal national team, he needs the team and the team also needs him. Ronaldo already scored two goals for Portugal which also helped them in the world cup.
Cristiano Ronaldo is a great player and a very good human being as well because its the era of social media and you can see your favourite people's also what they are doing in their daily life and what others are supposing to think about them. But if someone who really love and like his favourite player Cristiano Ronaldo it doesn't mean that the remaining world will also love him. If you have find nothing bad in his personality but the people who don't like him will definitely have a list convincing themselves that he is bad in several places. So its the way of thinking and finding things in someone according to their interests. You can't made anyone forcefully to love and hate anyone but the fact is that he is really a wonderful player and he might cross his age limits in football but he is still very young and doing his great work which is very difficult for many young players to do the same

Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo is a good player, there is no doubt in my mind. But not everyone likes him. For example, many people love Messi a lot and many people love Cristiano Ronaldo a lot. So if a person does not like Cristiano Ronaldo, it does not mean that he is doing something wrong. But yes, at this stage, it is almost impossible for another player to perform the way Cristiano is performing, especially if we see him play on the field. He still runs around on the field almost as much as before and he performs quite well in the middle of the field.

There is no doubt in the last 2 decades enough rivalry between these players with both having their positives and negatives. Cristiano Ronaldo is having good performance at the club level, but Messi is doing his best on all levels in this World Cup. There is a chance for Ronaldo to show something else, even if it's a challenge.

Messi is an alone one-man army in Argentina, while Ronaldo is now having good support from too many quality players. This is making things interesting, but now in knockout rounds they need to stay on a good level because this is always a challenge for them, and they have Croatia and then Spain. If they are able to end as winners, this could be a huge success for them.
