Cristiano Ronaldo is old now, he should definitely retire. Everyone now considers him a burden to the team, he has been neglected now, which has been proven in this World Cup. When he plays for the Portugal team, his fellow players do not give him the ball in any way, but rather shoot at the goal post.
Where Cristiano Ronaldo stands alone, scoring goals is 100% easy for him, there they are playing to show off their performance without giving him any importance. This is how the Portugal team has lost this season only because of their own bad performance. In my opinion, Cristiano Ronaldo should retire quickly.

I absolutely don't agree, he's certainly older but he alone gives the psychological energy he gives to his teammates, he certainly has a playing time that needs to be managed differently, which he himself admitted, in the meantime he has scored another 3 goals at the age of 41 and has demonstrated once again that Ronaldo never dies.

One thing about Al Nassr is that, Jorge Jesus was a great coach who has won multiple times at this league, and he worked so well, him leaving will be a big problem for them. Postecoglou is not a bad coach, I wouldn't say he is a bad one, but the reality is that we should not be really considering this as anything good for them, because they went from unbelievable coach to  just a good one.

And this is of course not a big deal and I think we should not be considering this an improvement. This will of course have some bad results for the ending and I think we should not be really considering how this could be anything good, and with no seen improvement on the squad with any great transfers, there is a big possibility that they will do bad this year.
I completely agree that this time Al Nassr looking something below as compared to previous season because in previous season it has strong combination of players like Ronaldo but this time they changed their successful coach Jorge Jesus and it's very understood talk that Jorge Jesus was a good coach and he paid his experience in well way to Alnassr and Al Nassr wins many title under him no doubt the new appointed Ange Postecoglou was also well known and strong coach but Jorge was much more better then him and also Al Nassr don't pick new players so this time it's very less chances to perform well in this season. If we see other club of Saudi league they highly focused to become stronger but I don't know thats going in the mind of Al Nassr club

Yes, Jorge Jesud did have a successful run while he was AI Nasser head coach, no doubt, but we shouldn't be arriving at a conclusion yet about how things would be for AI Nasser going forward, because what if the incoming manager happens to do even better at the end of his stay? Different coach and different tactical system that opponent teams may find difficult to penetrate. Until we see him in full action, then it will be the right time to talk or compare.

Jorge Jesus left the managerial role after winning the SPL title with Al Nassr which happen to be an almost impossible mission for them but look at where they are today, won the SPL title and crowned champions after years of trying and trying. Ronaldo was outstanding and he played a major role in helping Al Nassr winning their league title this season.

Jorge Jesus is now appointed manager for Portugal and we just hope he doesn't repeat the same mistakes of Roberto Martinez who just stepped down few days ago after Spain eliminated Portugal in the round of 16. Jorge Jesus really need to do well because there's high expectations from him as the new manager for Portugal.

I think that Martinez didn't do a good job with Portugal during this World Cup, they had several opportunities to settle into more comfortable situations but they didn't exploit them at all, plus there were some choices by Martinez especially in terms of decidedly questionable substitutions.

I think Ronaldo will be announcing his retirement from the national team soon, he has done so much for the country and he has put them in a place that their is always a big expectations from them in every tournament.

The goal to achieve a thousand goals is still on the run, we might see him achieve that next season.

Ronaldo will certainly become the first player to reach 1000 goals as a professional footballer, destined to go down in history in an indelible way, he has already made it clear that this was his last World Cup, so i think he will decide to leave the national team in one of his last home games in Portugal.

Messi and Ronaldo are two beasts in football but I don't have to wait till their latest years, like in 2026 to imagine that Messi will play better than Ronaldo when these players get older enough. Their playing styles truly give more advantages to Messi and more disadvantages to Ronaldo. Playmakers can play a longer time than strikers who have to rely on their physical strength, pace, jump power and more.

There are similar examples with defenders, when they are young they can play at swings but when they get old enough, they will move to the center and play as central defenders. It's big advantage for Messi especially with his genius brain, quick thinking on the pitch and excellent skills he has.

I absolutely cannot agree, the first reason being the fact that Ronaldo is decisive despite his 41 years, and having got through the most complicated groups, Argentina apart from the last match had a red carpet on which to continue their progress in this World Cup, for completeness also physical Ronaldo and a step forward.

It is true that Ronaldo seems to have a significant influence in the team, that influence became more apparent when Ronaldo renewed his contract with Al Nasr because in his contract it was also embedded that Ronaldo had a 15% ownership stake, this means he is not only a player but also took part in making strategic decisions for the progress of Al Nassr, and it was proven that after he played a bigger role, Al Nassr won the title. And another important reason is reaching his 1000 goal record, which is only a little away.
Ronaldo is an extraordinary so such a player will be given certain privileges over the decision of the club. Ronaldo few years at Al Nassr and he has already achieved a record that might take decades to break. Ronaldo intentions and stay at Al Nassr is good. I think he has a very good intention for Al Nassr that could be the reason he renew his contract for two years. Ronaldo loves Al Nassr probably he is going to win the champions League for Al Nassr before he will leave them. I think Ronaldo might coach Al Nassr is the coming years maybe after he had retired from football. If Ronaldo coach Al Nassr, that will be an advantage for the team. Ronaldo will bring all his years of experience in football into Al Nassr. I'm seeing Al Nassr dominating the Saudi league for seasons like PSG if Ronaldo will coach them in the future.

But strangely, his teammates don't provide a pass at all. So that's why I think if you say that Ronaldo's performance is completely bad, it might also be wrong. Because actually, when Ronaldo is given a good opportunity, he usually always manages to capitalize well. But unfortunately, Ronaldo's Portugal teammates are too selfish, and ultimately, because of that selfishness, they failed to advance further in this World Cup. So it's quite a shame in my opinion.

Martinez's Portugal have a game that tends to be quite static, perhaps for this reason Ronaldo had more difficulty being served, he was left a bit alone in attack, with a continuous rotation of the ball from flank to flank and few balls played in the middle and it was normal for the ball to struggle to verticalize towards him.

I think this is not good to talk about a to class player it is true that he has to take retirement and he will be retired but I think a player like him is not deserve any harsh dictation as he is older or he is a burden on his team. If the world Cup performance was not good of the portugal team I think it will be very unfair if we only blame on a single player because Cristiano Ronaldo in itself cannot do the great as only his performance can make the team win or loose. So this was happened due to the entire team but still i think his performance was much  better than others and he proves that may there will be no player like him who serve his all energy and emotions in this world class game. As this is already said that what was happen and what will happen the fact is only thay Cristiano Ronaldo will never dies from football world.

Ronaldo isn't a question for Al Nassr anymore. Saudis got what they wanted out of him ,which was marketing, and they did, as I always say, look at the topic, it was created after Ronaldo joined the league and now it is over a thousand pages.

And on top of that, you have to remember that Ronaldo won a league title for them  too, not a bad achievement. And now, only thing is left, he will reach his 1000 goal record, then he will leave and retire. That's it, nothing more is left for him.

I still don’t get why a lot of people keep playing him down even though we saw what he did in the league last season. He was Al Nassr highest goal scorer last season and was third in the league ranking. For sure he is not the cristiano we all knew a decade ago but saying he his not good enough or can’t get the job don’t Is something I will not agree to.

Maybe the performance in the World Cup is what is making a lot of people say such, but we all know in the World Cup he was not getting the services he was at Al nassr. I believe next season he will still score above 15 league goals.  he is the greatest goal scorer of all time and he still got it.

For me, he's the best player in history, without any help, against the elite, he's achieved everything through hard work. He's the best example of a player. Does he want to retire? Yes, maybe, but would that be fair? I don't know. He has the quality to reach another World Cup. Some will say no, but I believe in legends. Besides, I'd like to see him play alongside his son on the Portuguese national team, and hopefully with a different midfield and not the failures who made it to this World Cup.

Ronaldo is one of the best players in history, but it would be wrong to say he is the best of the best. There are different opinions on this list, which creates controversy. However, you have the right to express your opinion. His recent performance has not been very good, it is normal that he has grown older and the intensity of his performance has decreased. So it would be wise to retire from football while still in relatively good form. We do not yet know what kind of decision he will make after the World Cup, but he may announce his retirement very soon.

Ronaldo will certainly become the first player to reach 1000 goals as a professional footballer, destined to go down in history in an indelible way,

There are only 25 more goals left for Ronaldo to reach his 1000 goals and I think he will be able to do that in one season with Al nassr, considering that Al Nassr were very good in attack last season, so if this kind of performance is shown again next season then it will be easy for Ronaldo.

Quote
he has already made it clear that this was his last World Cup, so i think he will decide to leave the national team in one of his last home games in Portugal.

Unfortunately, he decided to retire from the national team, after only being able to deliver Portugal to the round of 16, even though Portugal squad is very good this year.

In essence,, if we talk about Ronaldo's performance in the World Cup, it's clearly not very good. But that doesn't mean Ronaldo is a bad footballer,, but rather because his teammates are truly unreliable. Because I am very sure that if Ronaldo could have been given a lot of passes by the Portuguese midfielders, Portugal could have beaten Spain yesterday. But unfortunately, the Portuguese midfielders were really selfish and they didn't send many passes to Ronaldo.

So I personally am also very annoyed by that,, because they couldn't utilize a player as good as Ronaldo properly. So I don't know what's in the minds of the Portuguese midfielders. Maybe they think they are better than Ronaldo,, so that's why they don't rely on Ronaldo too often. In fact, that is clearly wrong, because if a team doesn't rely on its strikers well, the team is definitely vulnerable to defeat. And indeed, Portugal lost yesterday to Spain.

While I do agree that keeping him is good because this is Saudi league and the league level is not that high, not like we are talking about top five leagues, this is Saudi league, and Ronaldo, even at his age, is fine for this league.

I also think that he should not play every game full minutes. He should be playing like starting from 65th minute or so, with added time we would see him play 30 minutes every game and if you give Ronaldo 30 minutes every game, eh could run more, play more, have more chances, instead of him being tired in second half and just walking and waiting for a tap-in.

There's no doubt about it, but being the best in the world can't be done alone; he needs his team to support him. I'm sure that at Al Nassr they would have helped him become world champion, but instead he got stuck with a bunch of envious kids like those in Portugal, so things happened this way. As long as CR7 is in Portugal, I'll support Portugal, because those Portuguese players are a prime example of most of humanity: they give you the hand and then stab you in the back, something that doesn't happen in Argentina. Everyone plays for and respects Messi; that's his luck.

I do not know why in all of this people seem not to be considering the age factor of this player that is telling on him gradually,  expecting the peak Ronaldo that we knew some years back now, is very unrealistic,  as for the World Cup performance,  I see it as football just happening and will not judge with or by that not even for a moment. He has been a really fantastic player for a greater part of his career and so this singular world cup alone cannot take that from him.

Cristiano Ronaldo loves football very much, and I believe he hasn't retired completely because he still wants to score 1000 goals. He has already retired from the national team. But as soon as he completes 1000 goals, I see him retiring, meaning the next Saudi league season could be his last, because I see him achieving 1000 goals by the end of next season, since he has the Saudi league, the cup games, and the Asian league games (if I wrote it correctly), which will allow Ronaldo to complete 1000 goals next season.

Ronaldo isn't a question for Al Nassr anymore. Saudis got what they wanted out of him ,which was marketing, and they did, as I always say, look at the topic, it was created after Ronaldo joined the league and now it is over a thousand pages.

This is truly funny & also a fact. Cristiano exerts a powerful influence wherever he goes, proving that he is bigger than the club (Al-Nassr) & even the Arab league itself. Al-Nassr must keep him at the club, as they benefit in every way from having Cristiano. The latest I heard is that Cristiano played a part in Costa's transfer to Al-Nassr; the move was facilitated because Cristiano stepped in.

This is exactly why every single Portugal player will be celebrating when Ronaldo retires, and every single Messi teammate will be crying when he retires. Because of fans, and nothing more. Fans are so dreamy that they think if Portugal only just passed to Ronaldo every time they got the ball, Ronaldo would have send them to finals, all the players had to do was give him the ball every time they got it.

First of all, no team plays like that, this is a team, it's no Ronaldo and 10 other players, it's Portugal as a nation. Secondly, Ronaldo was not that good, even if they did, they would have lost badly, probably wouldn't even be this far. But because he has maniac fans, people thought he could have scored hattricks every game and helped them, which is not true obvious as we have seen from him playing terrible.
