Al Ittihad really struggled last season, they finished in the 5th position with 55 points. I expected to see them at the same level with Al Nassr and Al Hilal, since they were the defending champions in last two sessions. In Al ittihad opening match against Al-Kholood Club, I thought Al ittihad would defeat them but they played to a draw. Their main problem is from defense as you said, and they need to improve it fast since the season is still fresh. If they delay about it, I don't think I will consider them among the champions this season again.

I think the only thing that fuels Ronaldo's spirit on the pitch right now is his crazy obsession with hitting a 1000 career goals record and as it stands, he needs less than 30 goals to achieve that.
