Al Hilal is really prepared this season, juat when I was thinking that they will lose points against Al Shabab after they ended in first half draw, suddenly just about 9 minutes into the second half they found the back of the net and from the pressure they are giving Al Shabab, they will surely score more goals to continue with their high score margin and extend the goals difference between them and Al Hilal. Are we sure that Al Nassr will not begin to get tired if Al Hilal continues to win their matches with high score because I understand the feelings when a team is trying to catch up with a team at the top of the table but instead they are making it more difficult to happen when they keep winning consistently and with huge goals difference. Al Hilal is in another level currently, it will really be a big task for Al Nassr to continue in same pace.

It was truly remarkable. In this match against Al Shabab, the Al Hilal squad still managed to demonstrate its quality, even though the game was tense throughout due to the lack of goals. However, the deadlock was finally broken when Sergec found the back of the net. I thought the score would stay 1-0 until the end of the match, but just a few minutes before the second half ended, Al Hilal was awarded a penalty which Ruben Neves converted flawlessly, sealing their victory. Right now, it seems that Al Hilal not only has a sharp offense but also a defense that’s very hard to penetrate, leaving their opponents overwhelmed as they struggled to find openings to score.

In this initial stage of league there is a competition between two or three teams. At this stage of the league, no one can predict for sure which team will win the trophy or be in second or third position at the end. I have seen almost every match of Al Hilal team and I feel that the team has several problems in the attack. Despite having good players in the team, there is no good striker to give the finishing touch. I see good coordination among the players in Al-Nassr attack this season. Al-Ittihad did not start the league well, Al-Ettifaq started better than them but we have to wait to find the best team.

I don't have any idea why people are just overreacting and making the assumption that Ollie Watkins has ruined his footballing career just because of his move to the Saudi league. For God's sake, the guy is already 30 years old and he has also won a European trophy with Aston Villa and he bang in lots of goals even in the Premier League, so what's all the fuss about. The standards in Saudi has improved and the league is also very competitive now and besides, it is just good business to move to Al-Hilal and earn a huge sum of money per week and tax free.

Don't ruin his career, because he still has many years left to play. But surely, if he were to return to play in the Premier League tomorrow, it will be inevitable to see a decline in his performances.
I say this because the Premier League is the most competitive and toughest championship and a drop in quality doesn't help you improve.

All these predictions are way too early, if you ask me, because, as it stands all the top teams in the league have not even faced each other yet and the table is not that balanced because Al-Nassr has only played 4 games and Al-Hilal, on the other hand, has played 5 games. The season is in the early phase and a team might look at the top of their game now but once all the other domestic competitions kick start, then the form of each team gets tested.The possible league champions can be determined around December periods not this early.

I believe that Al-Nassr can really break the record of goals scored consecutively in 90 of the matches. It won't be easy to see the pressure increase, but it is still possible. Meanwhile, with the arrival of Watkins, Al Hilal has certainly found an excellent replacement for the offensive department..

I see no reason why people would think Al Nassr will end up in 3rd place even when they are the defending champions, they are currently a bit stronger than Al Hilal IMO but the signings made by Al Hilal is really impressive, they will definitely be helpful to them.

It's unsure who will win thr league this time around but I still think it's between Al Nassr and Al Hilal. We can't conclude who will end up as the winner because it is still too early to say anything, in the end whichever team is more consistent will be the winner. I even think they are both going to fight till the very end to determine a winner.

Just because Al-Hilal has been scoring many goals do not mean that they have high chances of winning the SPL. Al Hilal and Al Nassr still has equal points and i don't think that Al Nassr will feel intimidated by Al Hilal's large number of goals because they are much interested in getting 3 points which is what that matters than scoring  lot of goals. Where it will only matter is if the both teams have equal points just as they have now, Al Hilal will be more advantageous but if they lose points and Al Nassr wins their own match that means that Al Nassr will top the table. Al Nassr must never drop points, they should continue winning their matches so that they don't give Al Hilal too many opportunity to gap them.

This season Al Hilal has managed to strengthen its squad, while Al Nassr comes from a championship won and with few hits on the market, thus maintaining the team that won the championship last year. i simply believe that this year the competition between the two big teams in the championship will remain alive.

The cool storyline will be him returning to Sporting FC to finish his legendary career. The man has made all the money he could in Saudi so moving back to Europe won't be a bad thing. One thing we can't deny is that his move to the Saudi Pro League actually gave serious popularity to the league and  I am sure they are grateful for that. Despite their transfer ban, Al Nassr appeared stronger this season. Privileged Al Hilal could be better at procuring players, but the strength in Al Nassr players is not inferior. After watching their comeback against Al Ettifag, 1 man down, Ronaldo substituted, having Joao Felix and Mane as key players, Al Nassr moved from 0:2 to 3:2. It took self mastery from the repetition of exact last season squad to clap back that strong. Al Hilal with its new signees would find it hard to break through a team that shares a greater level of understanding from the previous season.

Al-Nasr has a great opportunity to break this record, scoring in 90 consecutive matches is certainly a huge challenge, but if they can maintain their current consistency, they may have a chance. With the arrival of Watkins, Al-Hilal will be much stronger and it may be a bit difficult for Al-Nasr to consistently score, but if they can maintain their early season performance until the end, there will be a chance. However, I think Al-Hilal will not give up so easily this season, but they will compete hard enough to become champions. Yesterday, Al Hilal had problems against a clear underdog, and Watkins didn't score, but in the end, everything turned out well. I bet on Al Hilal to win with a -1.5 handicap, and everything was hanging in the balance until the very end. However, PSG and Real Madrid still erased that result, hehe (these were multiple bets).
I don't think Al Nassr are under pressure right now - they're doing well, although they're not winning as confidently as Al Hilal, today's game is against a strong team, but they should definitely score. Al Nassr's win in today's game is quoted at 1.47, but I managed to place a bet in advance with odds of 1.55.

I think it doesn’t matter where Cristiano Ronaldo spends the rest of his career, even if he ultimately decides to stay at Al-Nassr, that could also be a beautiful and extraordinary ending. We know how highly Cristiano is regarded here, he’s the one who brought the Saudi League to the international stage and his popularity has continued to rise, making the league even better known among soccer fans around the world. Personally, i didn’t follow the Saudi League at all before, but ever since Cristiano moved and signed with Al-Nassr, i’ve started following it and unwittingly i was keeping up with the developments of various clubs there.

It all comes down to the decision Cristiano Ronaldo will make, retiring at Sporting would certainly be a beautiful moment and retiring at Al-Nassr would be great too. As a fan, i’m simply savoring the final stages of his career, enjoying every goal he scores, right up to what might be the saddest moment when he reaches 999 goals and has just one left to hit 1000. I can’t imagine how happy and yet how sad that will be but once again, let’s just enjoy the moment.

This is exactly how I like to see the league being played. Any league which does not have competition of teams being it two or three or more teams, it does not seem to be an interesting situation for the league to watch by us. It does not make it dull rather more exciting and the more the teams are the more exciting it is for you to enjoy it the more because the more the competition among them. Al Hilal and Al Nassr both gave me vibes of Barcelona and Real Madrid in the La Liga and how both teams do struggle for power and superiority, same thing I want to experience with the SPL especially now when Ronaldo is still there.

I agree. A championship in which only one team competes, such as the Bundesliga, or as has been the case so far with Ligue 1 in France, is a boring championship to follow, as there are few twists and turns. While a championship like Serie A, with more strengthened teams, ready to compete for the title, makes it more exciting.

Al-nassr failed to buy players in the transfer market while Al-hilal was busy strengthening their squad with quality players,  this season will be very tough for Al-nassr to defend the title,  they must win and play every game like a final,  Al- hilal will give them a tough run for the title.  They have have the strongest squad in Saudi Arabic pro league.

Al Nasr still has a lot of time to get back into the match. The biggest question is, will Al Nasr be able to use that time properly?
Al Nasr was trailing 2-1 in the first half and even though the second half started, there was no change in the scoreline. Since the match is being played at Al-Ittihad's home ground, the match still looks tough. Al Nasr may be dropping points for the first time this season, and a draw is more likely if they don't lose. Because defending Al-Ittihad for 30+ minutes and scoring 2 goals makes it very difficult for Al Nasr to win the match, especially in an away match.
Al Hilal is already at the top of the table with 15 points from 5 matches, if Al Nasr loses points, they will definitely be eliminated from the top spot competition. Getting back into the competition may take time.

Al Nassr in the last two matches against Al Ettifaq and Al Taawon also had a hard time winning because they conceded first before finally making a comeback. And now against Al Ittihad it’s the same situation they conceded two goals, but Al Nassr probably can’t make a comeback because Al Ittihad is different from the previous two clubs. Even though Al Ittihad has lost many star players, they are still considered a strong team, so I’m not sure Al Nassr can make a comeback in this match even though Al Nassr has scored one goal, making the temporary score 2-1. But with only 6 minutes left in extra time it seems difficult to at least equalize let alone win.

If you look at Al Nassr games in their last 3 matches, they’ve been conceding goals very easily which proves that their defense hasn’t fully improved yet. Ange needs to find a solution for this especially since Al Hilal just won against Al Shabab making them even stronger at the top of the standings and 3 points ahead of Al Nassr.

Ronaldo and his teammates failed to secure three points from Ittihad. Ittihad played well in this match. They played with great enthusiasm and their attack was really good. In the end, Al Nassr conceded two goals. George was the hero for Ittihad, scoring both goals against Al Nassr. Unfortunately, Al Nassr only managed one goal through Gabriel. But if Al Nassr could have capitalized on all the opportunities, perhaps Al Nassr could have scored more than one goal, as I remember Al Nassr having many chances.

This is Al Nassr's first defeat of the season. In my opinion, this is a lesson for Ange so she can improve her game and learn from today's defeat. I made a wrong prediction today because I thought Al Nassr would win, but they lost. Did any of you predict this match correctly?

If they couldn't win is definitely because of their change in performance and not entirely about signing, remember they had this defense and squad when they couldn't be defeated last season, although it wasn't the defense that needed serious change but it was there midfield that requires new signing which is why they signed Samu Costa and since then I haven't seen any problem on there defense asides from normal defensive mistakes so for now AI Nassr is perfectly in good position and know signs of potential issues for them apart there competitors who also has 12 points with them.

Al Nassr, even making a poor transfer in terms of numbers, still has a large and important squad, with players of a certain caliber. So even if the only noteworthy purchase was Costa, he seems to have fixed at least the biggest problems that gripped the cr7 team.
