If Al Nasr's performance is like this, then perhaps part of what we have expected from them will not be fulfilled this season. Because as the days go by, Al Nasr's weaknesses are becoming more and more apparent, especially their defensive weaknesses. The number of goals they are conceding is very unusual, no one expected this from last season's trophy winners. Although they may have focused on attack at the moment, they need to balance attack and everything else, then we will see something good from them. Even if we look at attack, their attack is not showing much success.

Al Nassr obviously intervenes on their own problems in the team, because obviously losing a match with a certain goal gap between the first and second teams is not something that can be expected from Al Nassr, champions of the latest Saudi Pro League. So we will certainly need to take action to make improvements.

It will take time to improve, but Al Nasr were the champions last season and the expectations are high for everyone and Cristiano Ronaldo is in Al Nasr. Looking at Cristiano Ronaldo, the expectations are even higher. If we don't see them improve their position very soon, then we will definitely not see anything good from them this season.

Since the new coach was added, we have seen Al Nasr's position deteriorate. Although it takes some time for a team to adapt to a new coach, the defense is such a big weakness that it makes every fan and the team very weak.

Cristiano Ronaldo is a 41-year-old player who has been playing professional football for twenty years and knows exactly how to move. I don't think there's a more complete athlete than him in the sport of football, and I also think he's learned over time how to lift morale after a defeat and celebrate after a victory.
Ronaldo's movement off the ball is really remarkable, even at that age and that's something most people do not see. You can see his frustration on the pitch when he misses a big chance, he's aware that age is catching up on him and he can't do things he used to do. I do not think that there's a player more passionate about football than Ronaldo, he's an athletic work of art indeed.
Even at 41, Cristiano Ronaldo is still a young player because he is still performing well and scoring goals. His age has been more noticeable this season. He has scored 3 goals in 6 matches. Last season, he scored 28 goals in 30 matches in the Pro League. Although he is physically fit, I don't think he will be able to score many goals this season. As a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo I think he should continue playing for more several years, even though his contract with Al-Nassr expires next season.

On the one hand we see Al-Nassr's game deteriorating, but on the other hand their biggest rival Al Hilal is currently in a very destructive form, because their attack is now much stronger, such as Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal, Ollie Watkins from Aston Villa, these players are very good, and because they have come to the new team, Al Hilal is now very strong, and that is why Al Hilal has scored a total of 23 goals in just 7 matches. But on the other hand Al-Nassr is almost the same as last season, where Al Hilal has become stronger than last season. And so this season is going to be very difficult for Al-Nassr to win the title, Al Hilal will now compete more strongly, and now they are at the top, but let's see, Al-Nassr will keep trying until the end, but of course this season will be much harder for them than last season.

Al Nassr problems from season to season have always been in the defense and goalkeeper lines. However, last season they played solidly, which allowed them to win the SPL trophy after a long time. But after getting the title, Al Nassr lost their coach and is now coached by Ange, and the problems in the backline have returned. We might be able to understand it because Ange is still new and figuring out the right formation, but I hope he finds a solution soon to fix the backline issues if they want to defend the title.

Al Nassr's potential could be at its peak if you look at the next match where Al Nassr will face a weak team, Al Dharih, while in another match, Al Hilal will face Al Ittihad. So Al Nassr's chances of grabbing first place will be very open, especially if Al Hilal and Al Ittihad draw while Al Nassr manages to win big against Al Dharih. Ange has to make the most of the match in week 8, which will be played after the international break.

Cristiano Ronaldo is not a rare player to find. Cristiano Ronaldo is a player who will never be found again, precisely because of the consistency and athletic spirit he has always shown and which has always made the difference in the world of football. He is a complete player who obviously struggles to be as consistent as he once was as he gets older.

Exactly. I’m absolutely certain we won’t see another player like Cristiano Ronaldo in the future, it’s very difficult for other players to keep up with him. Given his healthy lifestyle, it’s no wonder his body remains athletic and strong even at age 41. And the hardest thing of all is to emulate his consistency, anyone can adopt a healthy lifestyle like his, but not everyone can stick to it consistently.

Nonetheless, i hope he can win this championship too.

Even though i’m skeptical, i’ll still keep rooting for Al-Nassr to win the championship again this season.

Nobody in the footballing world, not even the media, can dispute the fact that CR7 still has that incredible aerial positioning instinct around the 18 yard box, almost like a shark. But truthfully his weakness of f the ball is becoming too clear to ignore. The lack of raw physical strength and that recovery speed is really showing negatively on the pitch when fast transition situations arise. I think the coach should consider benching him in certain matches that are very intense.3

Are you really watching Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch? Please don't be biased simply because you're a Ronaldo fan, I am also a Ronaldo fan and I'm telling you, Ronaldo is no longer performing at top level and he deserves to be benched in some games and not expected to start for some of the games. Ronaldo is good no doubt but he can't cheat nature, he's aged and we can't expect him to keep the tension on his oppositions like pressing non-stop, that's the work of the younger lads.

I do believe Ronaldo is only playing football in other to complete his milestone of 1000 football career goals. He's just 25 goals away from reaching 1000 and what makes you think he will stop now? He's moving in another motion and he's not stopping for anything, he will continue to match up his energy and become a consistent pivotal player for Al Nassr.

After the international break, the Al-Nassr coach needs to take a cue from the new Portuguese coach and have some real audacity to bench CR7 in matches he feels Ronaldo will not perform according to his tactics or formation, just like the way the Portuguese coach put him on the bench for the full 90 minutes recently. The team was transitioning much faster and I appreciate the fact that the coach had the balls to make tactical changes instead of playing for pure sentiment.

I agree with you, the Portugal coach has also reaped the rewards of his bold decision. Gonçalo Ramos tried to take advantage of every opportunity with his great pace. But due to a slight ankle sprain, he could not add the third goal to the scoreboard, which would have been his second.
The Al Nasr manager should also make such a bold decision and considering the opponent, keeping him on the bench might be the best decision. This player is old, he is no longer able to take the pressure.

Jorge Jesus should not be dragged following the benching of Cristiano Ronaldo. We know Ronaldo is a top player but sometimes he needs to sit on the bench so Portugal would have this fighting spirit to win games. Portugal should not be underestimated in the nations league because they're also favorite to win the title, they did the last time and doing it again wouldn't be a problem for them. Ronaldo need to rest and so look fresh for league games which will be opening soon.

Joao Felix reportedly wants to contribute to Cristiano Ronaldo’s milestone of 1000 professional career goals. And he said that he will try to be part of that achievement, where he will continue to look for Cristiano Ronaldo to set him up right when Ronaldo needs just one more goal to reach it (Source). He also revealed that the goal will go down in soccer history and even will be an extraordinary moment for him if he is part of the process leading to that goal. So I personally think that the upcoming matches will be very exciting to watch as we follow the goals that CR7 will score. And I’m confident that Cristiano Ronaldo will work hard to score at least one goal in each of his upcoming matches in the Saudi Professional League. This is certainly one of the things that makes Al Nassr’s matches so exciting by considering that one of a new record is about to be set in football history. You can see that the milestone he is about to reach is so close requiring only a handful of goals (Source).

So we will certainly need to take action to make improvements.

They are having some trouble adapting under the new coach. But at some point, we might see them overcome these problems. Because they are having some trouble adapting to the new tactical system under Postecoglou and we hope that over time we will see a solution to this problem. If we observe, we will see that they are trying to be very aggressive and whenever they go up to be aggressive, some weaknesses are seen in their defense and those opportunities are being exploited by the opponent. We might see a solution to this problem very soon from Postecoglou.

Al-Nassr chose to use a decidedly expensive and less profitable method in the long term, while Al Hilal chose to focus on more mid- to high-end players who ultimately make a much more significant difference and who bring more results and greater team continuity.

Well, in the end, age really does take its toll on performance on the field. But I'm still always in awe of Cristiano Ronaldo, playing up front at 41 is no easy feat. Still, he's always able to make a contribution, even if not in every single game. The way he positions himself right in front of the opponent's goal is incredibly difficult to replicate, even for younger players. In terms of his sharpness in reading the game, I think he's just as sharp as he was in his prime. It's just that now he can no longer capitalize on every scoring opportunity that comes his way, opportunities he used to turn into goals without fail. Now he fails more often, and that's only natural because he's not the same player he used to be.

Let's be clear: this Cristiano Ronaldo, if he weren't Cristiano Ronaldo, would be a permanent substitute in any other team. And that's only because there are younger players performing better than him. And I'm not saying this to belittle Ronaldo, absolutely not, but just because he's 41, it's difficult for him to help his team like he used to.

Promising player for a veteran player that's less than a year from retiring from professional football?  Maybe that was a wrong choice of words from you because I understood what you were trying to say.

The truth is that irrespective of his quality and the fact that he's experienced enough to position himself in the best positions in the box, Cristiano Ronaldo isn't at his peak again. His athleticism has dropped and it's now negatively affecting his team.

We saw him last night against Wales with the national team and how he couldn't convert chances he would've buried in the net when he was still at the top of his game. The good thing is he's said this is his last season as a professional footballer.

Cristiano Ronaldo, I'm convinced he's slacking off a bit, simply because his age and all this criticism are slowly weakening him. He knows he's 41 and that his performances have undoubtedly declined, but he still wants to break the record that will make him the first in history.

And the hardest thing of all is to emulate his consistency, anyone can adopt a healthy lifestyle like his, but not everyone can stick to it consistently.

Even those who don't like the team or teams he played for are fans of Cristiano Ronaldo, and I hope he can continue as long as his body allows him, and obviously his hard training, his consistency, and his athletic preparation are unparalleled. And what I most expect and hope for is to see that thousand-goal mark surpassed by a great champion.

I'd say that while Ronaldo used to think less about records, because he's young and just wanted to prove his worth, today, at the age of 41, I also think he's aiming to at least break his last record, which will crown his career and probably mark the end of an era for him and his fans.

It really bothers me to hear and judge people who, at Ronaldo's age, are sitting on the couch and don't have even 10% of his strength. I believe he still has a lot to give to this sport, and until he drains that last bit of strength, he'll continue to give and prove his worth.

The team's failure to do a decent job during the summer break and the transfer window to improve their defense has certainly placed them at a significant disadvantage, which they will struggle to overcome over the course of the various matches. They will have to act during the next transfer window.

Al Nassr’s poor summer transfer window has been the primary factor shaping the team's current state. Anyone who follows the Saudi league to any extent knows that Al Nassr needed to sign defenders however, they failed to do so, and now they have begun dropping points. Cristiano Ronaldo is already in a sad if he suffers further setbacks and a loss of morale in Saudi Arabia, it would spell a dismal conclusion to his career at a time when he is already nearing the end of his footballing journey.
