Hmm, I spotted the very same thing at around the same time you did. What are the chances of that? Were you also sending DarkStar_ a PM about the new ChipMixer signatures?

I'm doing other SMF work at the moment, but I'll make time in the coming week to fix this. Obviously, it's tempting to just apply the CSS tweak that shahzadafzal suggested, but that's not the proper fix in my opinion (it will have undesirable side effects).

I'll update the OP with a second patch, or make a new thread about it when I'm done. Thanks, Loyce!

Edit: On second thought, it doesn't make much sense to add another patch to the pile; I'll wait and see if theymos merges this one, before fixing the same issue with PMs.

Yeah, I know what you mean. You really have to scroll around to find the "Send message" and "Preview" buttons.

Thanks for the support, it means more than you think; I've only succeeded in getting theymos to merge one of my patches so far, which is a bit demoralizing. Hopefully more of my stuff gets merged in the future (especially the member filtering patch, I'm pretty keen to see that implemented).

Yep, although I'm not exactly sure what good stuff you think you've missed out on as far as the forum goes.  Assuming bitcointalk will be around for many years to come, and if you stick around long enough, you could easily become an old-school member that newbies will call "sir" and state that they're afraid to send you a PM and so forth.  Lol.

I marvel at the quality of some of the technical discussion from years ago, and I'm sad that I missed that era of the forum.

But you're making some damn fine contributions now, and IMO that's really all that's important.  Plus I'd add that at least you've got the technical background to make said contributions.  I'm still stuck being the automobile driver who's got no idea how things work under the hood, if you know what I mean.  I could probably spend time studying the fundamentals of cryptography and the mathematics that are the basis for bitcoin, but I'm afraid my brain couldn't take it at my age.

I'm in the same boat, and I've been into bitcoin for longer.  You know how many times I've publicly flogged myself for not buying bitcoin at $200 or not holding the bitcoin I bought when it was well below today's price?  If I spent any more time thinking about what could have been, I'd go insane. 

I firmly believe that bitcoin will eventually hit $100k.  Not sure if you feel the same, but if that's true then anything you buy around $23-25k is a steal.  Keep stackin' them sats, and it'll pay off.  You're still young, so you'll see in time.

Yeah, sorry for the humorless response. Your comment touched a nerve because I feel a certain amount of pressure to advance quickly, given how late I've left joining in the fun (both Bitcointalk and Bitcoin itself).

I may be romanticizing the time I missed out on, I suppose. I go through a lot of old topics, trying to catch up on what's happened here; who has beef with who, who should be ignored, who should be listened to, etc. so for me (so far) a lot of my time on Bitcointalk has been like flipping through a yearbook for a school that I wanted to go to, but didn't.

Thanks, man. I don't think you'd have much trouble if you decided to study it. You mentioned once before that you aced two semesters of physical chemistry, so I think you're probably just being lazy.

I merged an updated version of this patch which PowerGlove sent me. It looks to me like it fixed the problem, and I haven't been able to find anything that this change broke.
