The collection of permanent voters card extension was very necessary because many people are yet to collect theirs due to large populations at INEC’s office, they had to send some voters card to respective polling unit for local government for collection. Even at that, some PVC’s are not yet ready for some voters to collect and they’re asking them to check back on a later date.

I been wan ask those people wey change polling unit - like from one state to another. Would they need to go to INEC's office to collect a new card?

Since there was no option where to collect your new voters card during registration, I think they need to go to the state dey deployed to in order to collect their PVC. INEC won’t keep your voters card in a state you won’t vote in.

Be like that one them been loss the database o, becos I know say I register that time too only for them to tell me to come register again Becos them loose the database, so you for try register again as dem been dey do am early last year by now your own for done ready, becos now no be when to do I don't care we need to come out massively to vote and u no fit vote if you no get PVC, but just put ear for ground anytime they start the registration again u go do ur own so u fit vote next come 2027 bcOs na ur ryt as a citizen of the federal republic.

I never vote before for my life, Infact, I follow for people wey been always dey talk say "nothing go ever concern me concern voting, voting na their business", but wetin me don use my eye see for this country in the last 8 years don make me change my mind, immediately inec open voters card registration last year, I get up, drag my wife follow body, both of us go do the voters registration, as I dey type like this, me and my wife don collect our PVC, and we are both ready to make our vote count come this February - Nigeria must be great again.

INEC: Extends deadline for PVC collection to 5th february

Arising from reports from the various States and discussions with Resident Electoral Commissioners, the Commission has decided to further extend PVC collection in all its Local Government Offices nationwide by an additional one week. The ongoing collection of PVCs nationwide will therefore continue and end on 5th February 2023,” Okoye said in a statement on Saturday.

“This is the second time the Commission is extending PVC collection nationwide and this will be the last extension of the exercise. The collection period has further been extended by an additional two hours and will start at 9 am and end at 5 pm daily including Saturdays and Sundays.”
