I got some few questions lately about the hope of Bitcoin if it's actually going to stay this year and immediately I went straight to answer them that Bitcoin is here to stay.
It is without doubt that Bitcoin really suffered greatly last year with over 60% fall in it's value as a result of macro climate and some high profile company failures, there is still more hope for Bitcoin as there are more people seizing the bear season to accommolate more Bitcoin which is a hope for Bitcoin.

Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

bitcoins VALUE was not the ATH

bitcoins PREMIUM was the ATH

value is found at the bottom, premium found at the top

bitcoin did not lose 60% value in 2021-2022

bitcoins value raised from about a $10k- $15k value bottom(below market)
and bitcoin temporarily found a new premium of $70k in 2021

bitcoins market cap is a meaningless number. there was not "wiping off of xxxbillion value

..
please try to use the right terminology. you seem to have everything upside down and also thinking there was some trillion dollar reserve that got wiped

These questions have been around for the past 14 years, and it is safe to say that they have become all too familiar and almost a part of our market. When the market is in winter, you will get a lot of questions about bitcoin, does bitcoin exist? is bitcoin dead?... And when bitcoin is in a bull market, you will see a lot of questions about when the bitcoin bubble will burst. If it were me, I wouldn't have to answer them because if you explained to them, they would never believe, tell them to look at what bitcoin has done over the past 14 years, enough to prove it all.

Honestly, the bear market last year wasn't even more noisy than in 2018. When people have used the bear market of 2018 as a reference as usual with their comparison to the current and past markets. Bitcoin is here to stay and that's without a doubt. If someone is still too concerned about its existence then that person will just be too late to invest and will always ask if it's okay to invest now whether we're in a bear or bull market.
No matter what good bitcoin shows on its chart, there will be those folks that will never be enticed to buy because they've got a negative belief that's stuck in their minds.

What is the relationship of price to survival? If the price of a bitcoin is one dollar, then the bitcoin can be said to last as long as there is an individual willing to mine it.
In the early days of Bitcoin, the number of people running the node was less than 100, yet Bitcoin continued to operate for long periods, yet the price was low, and after several years we reached all these levels.
What I am trying to say is that price does not rule continuation.

Apologies but I have to agree that the answer is completely misleading, and once more is tied to price which really has nothing to do with why Bitcoin is here to stay.

People asked you this year or if this was the year people asked you about btw? And what business have you to answer or what qualifies you? Weird that Quora would ask you to answer when you got so much wrong Smiley

Agreed, although this year we have to see the collapse of the 2nd largest exchange in the market, followed by war and economic crisis, but in my opinion, it is still not as bad as what happened in 2018. I'm still more haunted by what happened in 2018 than in 2022.

If this question was asked 5 years ago, we could still doubt the existence of bitcoin, but if someone is still asking about this in 2023, its a waste of time if we stop to answer theirs.

Indeed, for those who already have negative beliefs about bitcoin ingrained in their blood, we should not waste our time with them.

You wanted to discuss about Bitcoin but you shared an article about crypto.

Bitcoin is not crypto and crypto is not Bitcoin so let's find articles that are relevant for your discussion about Bitcoin survival.

After 469 times (more or less), Bitcoin is here to stay definitely.

immediately I went straight to answer them that Bitcoin is here to stay.

I hope you have that better understanding why you say that bitcoin has cone to stay, because it's not only by saying it alone but by the kevel of how far you've gone with the understanding to this,if we should experience more dip below $17k to about $12k will you still maintain saying this statement, we are not pasuaded by our decision on what we invested on bitcoin, we know it because we've already seen it coming long time ago before Satoshi emerge the successful winner, this are what gives us edge not to even thought about other cryptocurrencies when we know that bitcoin has all it takes to stay while others don't.

It is without doubt that Bitcoin really suffered greatly last year with over 60% fall in it's value as a result of macro climate and some high profile company failures

Ofcourse we had a dip season last year while bin 2021 was the big catch for many with ATH of $69k, this is what we meant by volatility, those companies that have recorded loss could have once upon a time make huge profits in the past.

there is still more hope for Bitcoin as there are more people seizing the bear season to accommolate more Bitcoin which is a hope for Bitcoin.

Bitcoin isn't relying on the accumulative capa for it to stay, neither does it depends on people to get adva on the dip for it to create and add value, it has won all it takes to soar far above other creeping currencies by what the entire network is made up of.

The future for Bitcoin is always bright.  So that's how I think.  It is such a system that it has now managed to enter among all economic concepts.  The currency currently in the cryptocurrency industry has surpassed some of the world's other economic values.  It's not like staying here.  With the ever-increasing interest, I think future generations will give bitcoin the value it deserves.  It may have fallen this year, and in the future, it may rise to prices that will reach its peak this year.

This is like telling some of us what we already know, this question and answer should be directed to those newcomers to the btc network. Most of them have a short-term view on btc so this type of answer will give them closure and perhaps reduce their level of panic. I want to believe the first 3 years of btc existence were the hardest and biggest challenge, after btc was able to survive those trying years, the question of whether btc will stay or burst (as some people like to describe it) should be out of the picture. There is no doubt btc has come to stay.

The fact that bitcoin is here to stay is no longer news, and one of the reasons is that trust in banking systems is at an all-time low. The governments of many nations are printing more money, resulting in currency devaluation. Obviously, bitcoin has come to rescue society from its financial woes. One other way to know that bitcoin is here to stay is the way it is portrayed by El Salvador, the first country to adopt bitcoin as a legal tender, thereby pushing its potential for mass adoption. There are so many pieces of evidence that prove that bitcoin is here to stay.

Bitcoin had already established its foundation, with the left and right adoption of Bitcoin, some countries had already accept it as legal tender while many more is already or considering it as mode of payment.  There are also small enterprises that despite their country's undecided stance about Bitcoin, they are accepting Bitcoin to fuel their business.

Bitcoin had been around more than a decade and it keeps on getting stronger after some struggles and hurdles that happens along its way.  Like these centralized services fiasco, Bitcoin market was greatly affected but the community and the market is strong enough to withstand the effect and slowly recovers. With that there is no doubt to say that Bitcoin is really here to stay.

Bitcoin is not crypto and crypto is not Bitcoin
Whenever I get a response like this, I always wonder what's the difference. Honestly, but are there any good references to get knowledge about it?

Until whenever 1 bitcoin = 1 bitcoin regardless of price. Bitcoin is here to stay even if regulation slows its adoption. Even if the government bans mining and tightens the rules then there will always be miners handling the transaction so nobody stops short.

As we can see from the history of Bitcoin, the current condition is not the worse case happens. It means that Bitcoin will not die of these failures, wars, economic crises, etc. In fact, adoption is growing which is a big help for the crypto market to stay. I can't say it stays forever, but based on its performance and the community's trust, I would say that Bitcoin has a reason to stay alive for many years. This gives me a reason as well to ignore all the negatives I've around but rather to focus on investing more and hold for this becomes more valuable in the next few years.

Questions like this will always be there since they were created but will indeed be heard more and more when bitcoin crashes like it is today.
But your answer will be approved and I will support your answer, regardless of the current state bitcoin will not die at least for years it will not die precisely with the current state actually it will be a good start again and my hope now we are at bearish end.
