This is why here in my country, it is advised to still get an experience first in the local ones. To be honest, many are looking for an abroad work since wages here are kinda low and if you're going to aim for 6-digit salary, better go overseas or......go freelance which is an alternative if you hate travelling.

The global competition of workers is kinda getting ridiculous and makes you think every market you can imagine could already be saturated.

Honestly if you are looking for any side hustle you need to learn something online. Gone are the day when you would learn plumbering, building assistance or any other low jobs, the internet offers more than any one can ask for and you can be your own boss.

In my country we actually have low employment rate because the government has chosen not to create any employment avenue but through the internet many youth has been able to find something to do.

Online jobs are extremely difficult to get, especially the high paying ones. When a signature campaign opens up on Bitcointalk forum look how many people apply within a few hours of only 1 spot. Its usually 100 people, applying for 1  spot. Its very difficult to get high pay work.

You are competing against tons and tons of people because unlike an on the spot employment, people can have multiple online jobs at once, hence why its difficult. If there are any high paying online jobs which pay at least min wage of any modern country, let me know.
It's a pain in the ass to enter a signature campaign anymore. Only minimal positions are open, with the majority of them being due to inactivity or inferior post quality. With new campaigns being introduced only once in a blue moon, the chance of filling a single empty position is extremely vague. Personally, I was lucky to enter Roobet when they were recruiting more members.

Unfortunately, the era of a plethora of signature campaigns is over, maybe for a good reason because lots of smaller ones were recruiting spammers and lower-quality posters. Anyway. The job market online is incredibly tough, as I already mentioned in a previous post. If you're a university graduate, your best bet could possibly be an online internship, which could give you a head start for the future.

I think family assistant, QA reviewer, care coordinator and nursing aide aren't a side hustle because you're need to work for long and it's a routine jobs where you must be ready when someone needs you, not you're the one who can choose when you want to work. Flexible working hours and flexible working place are the important requirement to meet as a side hustle for me.

I was thinking if food delivery is one of the good side hustles for 2023, but I think the wage or income on this is low because, as we can see now, there are a lot of food delivery drivers right now, but the demand of customers to have food delivered to their homes is low.
It's because you're live in third world countries where the people is so stingy, food delivery is no doubt get pay for low, but usually a humble rich people will give you a high tip especially if you deliver the foods during rainy or hot. I think food delivery and driver are have similarity, the main difference is the transportation they used.

People's decision to leave their jobs is influenced by the minimum wage to some extent. When compared to the cost of living, the minimum wage in my country is so low that it makes it practically hard for workers and other low-income earners to make ends meet. These employees have staged a number of little protests in an effort to get the owner to raise their pay. However, I believe it will be difficult for the situation to improve if the government does nothing to safeguard its citizens.

It's safe to assume that the wealth disparity will never close.

I don't live in the United States, but most of the jobs in the OP are definitely not side hustles in my country (i don't know if they are in the United States of America). I mean, there is hardly any job (as unemployment rate is pretty high) for these to be called side jobs/hustles. Where i come from, and with the extreme burden of labor, it would be almost impossible to combine these jobs in the OP with another different job (mostly 9-5) entirely, that's why they can't be called a side hustle/jobs.

Having said that, quite a lot of people in my country are searching for side hustles to complement their physical jobs that provides little or no income, but most of the side jobs over here are mostly done online, thus you can conveniently do what's expected of you from the comfort of your home, prolly after you must have closed for the day from your brick and mortar job.

I am working remotely right now I would say before I got into this job a lot of applicants went thru, it is just my skills are the key that I am able to get in.

At the moment, I think US jobs are easier to find than normal. I have seen contractors in the construction industry on social media and youtube complaining no one wants to work. Despite generous offers of good salary. It is strange.

When COVID hit and the U.S. government found it prudent to wipe away trillions of dollars in global economic output, they essentially created a social welfare state through supplemental unemployment checks that ranged from 400-600 USD per week. These checks were regardless of what someone made before being laid off due to COVID lockdowns/restrictions, so of course it didn't factor in for cost of living, but nonetheless there were some figures that showed a large portion of U.S. workers making more off unemployment than actually working. You can imagine the labor shortage it would create when the government's welfare state paid people to work zero hours a week.

Those checks lasted from March 2020 (they were retroactively applied if I'm not mistaken so someone could claim unemployment aid from previous weeks) all the way to October 2021. The U.S. was not alone -- Europe dabbled in extremely generous unemployment aid.

Seems like the labor shortage hasn't resolved itself, but we sure know how it started.

I am going to be straight about this, those listed jobs does not seem to be side hustles to me. They look like full time jobs to me and should get bonuses along with it. I dont know how one can be in side hustle while driving a cab? You have to have whole day and night to earn pretty handsome money out of it, its definitely full time jobs. Now I do not want to brief every jobs mentioned but I have been there. If we really want to do the side hustle in the current era then it is more or less digital side hustle that can save up good time and money for us. I mean writing a blog, making videos, working part time alongside your real job would be actual side hustle for me. Not the job which will take up 9 to 5 place!

This is a good list. The one which caught my attention which I was introduced to last year was driving. Because I live in a third world country where one need to hustle real hard, I took up driving as a side gig. Driving is fun. I got a car that meets the requirements for an e-hailing company and started to drive for them. It is my personal car so I do it when I want. The upside of this is that now have a disposable income and I am able to save more. I also get to meet alot of clients. I have gotten business contracts and expanded my network through this. The downside is that, when you drive so much, it starts to tell on the car. Too many visits to the auto shop.

Are drivers really side or hustle? I think most places it is full time jobs but I agree that it is profitable depending on the type of motor they drive. Company drivers in big buses and trucks are really paid well because it requires more stress than just driving the CEOS or other executives. But I do not agree that it should be considered as side hustle. It is even a professional job because any driver can't just drive any truck, caterpillars etc.

I think family assistant, QA reviewer, care coordinator and nursing aide aren't a side hustle because you're need to work for long and it's a routine jobs where you must be ready when someone needs you, not you're the one who can choose when you want to work.

This also caught my eye, kinda can't see them as a side hustle, especially the FA. We're just in the process of vetting one, and yes, it's definitely not a short-term thing.

I feel like those jobs require the person to be an integral part of their employee's life and schedule, hard to see having non-side hustle jobs next to that, other than maybe, well - side hustles.  Cheesy

Although these aren't really side jobs, it depends on where the person lives. I believe having a side job and working in a nursing home is regarded as a side hustle in the US. I welcome criticism. According to the definition of a side hustle side hustle, A side hustle is a job or career that one pursues in addition to their primary employment and source of income. But I don't believe any of these jobs can be categorized as side hustles if someone does them full-time.

What a complete mix of professions. Funny that there is almost similar demand in nurses and drivers. A person must study years to become a real nurse (not just clean-feed-repeat kinda of person). Persons needs proper education, experience, be responsible. When you only need few weekends with your dad to learn how to drive, a book of traffic laws and few hours to pass tests.
Yeah, babysitters have been a thing for a long long time and I think they will continue to be like that for a long time more, it's a bit more American to be fair, because in my nation we just leave the kids to grandparents and they are always happy to look for their grandkids at anytime you do that, it's free, hell it's even profitable lol.

So, I would have to say that globally, others are a bit better, and some of them are a bit harder to do than the rest, they are not jobs for unqualified people, like lead generation is not something you can do if you do not have the skills for it. This is why I honestly believe that the best thing to do would be learning a skill or two in order to make more money.

The employer must ask for recommendations and references from previous employers before hiring the candidate. Some educational background must be also needed in some cases. The fact is that most of those side jobs involve a lot of responsability and commitment. Family assistant has a lot of tasks to complete and can be decisive in a family's routine. It has to be a dynamic, energical, attentive and smart person to fulfill that spot. The hourly payrates are huge! My doubt is for how many hours someone can work as a family assistant. If they can work for 8 hours daily, it's almost 200$ a day! Here in my country people work almost an entire month to earn that amount.

Food delivery as a part-time hustle is also not a bad idea; I see a lot of people on social media claiming that it's capable of providing a decent side income. However, don't all these jobs require you to work quite a few hours per week? These are supposed to be side hustles, not a main source of income; thus, if you're working about 40-50 hours a week, isn't it a bit too much to add another 10-20 hours on top of that? I'm sure that this varies from country to country, but I'm referring to the general rule.

Delivering for large corporations, for instance, could be a side hustle since you're basically a freelancer and you choose how many deliveries you do in a day. The exact same rule also applies to drivers, such as Ubers.
yep, food delivery is a side job that gives good money and this has been proven by one of my friends who has a side job as a food delivery man, he said as long as you are good at managing time then you don't have to worry about this annoying food delivery job your main job.  as long as you still have great enthusiasm, why should you be ashamed or hesitant to be a food delivery person, you have done well by delivering other people's food because everyone has different circumstances and it is possible that the person using your services is a disabled person.

Yes, being a driver with the apps company like Uber or anything that's the same is a good side hustle. If you have a car ready for rental or you don't use at most times and you have to pay its mortgage, you might just want to use it for those app-ride hailing apps because they're profitable.

You work at any time you wish and at the same time, you'll be earning the money that you'll pay for its monthly obligations.

Driving isn't just all about trucks and big heavy loaders but don't forget that the economy and market for it is quite big these days and it's not just in the US but also in many other countries.

I don't understand why you said "why should you be ashamed of being delivery rider?" Man, who said that? I don't even see it in the post you've quoted lol.
And, 90% of the time, those who ordered food are not disabled people, instead, they are the busy who people who does not want to go outside their offices as they find it more convenient to get a delivery service.
One last thing, due to the fact that delivery riders got incentives with every booking, most of them don't treat it as a side hustle, but the main source of income. You know why? Because, the extra side hustle is within the parameters of this job and that's called "tip".

Not only that the barrier to entry is very low, many of those companies do not even require that you have a car, as I have seen a lot of people using a bicycle to make their deliveries, now obviously such a thing will require that you have a decent physical condition, however this can be seen as a side benefit as all of that cardio is good for the body, so not only those which make their deliveries like this earn money but they can also improve their health in the process.
