As other users mentioned, the post should be gone with deleted threads and that's why I didn't get the personal message by the mods.
It has to be true, and that's how it has always been when the thread was deleted by mod.
There's nothing we can do about it so far, but avoiding newbie thread especially pointless or uninteresting thread is a great way to maintain your post count.

I have some questions now about the activity, Is that number affected by the deleted posts too? or in some scenarios a user can have 900 posts and 1000 activity?
Same by DdmrDdmr response, the activity count will be affected by significant reduction in the number of posts. But for relatively low numbers, it won't matter.

You can also read more details here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2766177.0

Can activity or my rank decrease?

Yes. It can only decrease if you have all the posts you made from a particular period deleted or the threads you posted in trashcanned. If you do it's possible to drop rank until you have enough activity again.

This is probably a common occurrence for most forum users. From my experience it's generally ongoing megathreads that get deleted to threads that were made years ago, and for whatever reason have only been discovered now, and break the rules.

If you are receiving PMs about the deleted posts then someone is reporting your posts and mod agree with it. Result is they are deleting the reported posts. If you are not receiving any PM but checking your posts are deleted then it's the topics you left responses. When a topic gets deleted it deletes your responses too but the difference is you do not receive any notification. Someone is reporting the topics here too.
Just to clarify things; I don't think it requires the post being reported to be send a notification to a user via their personal messages. It just matters if a moderator has directly clicked the delete button on one of your posts, as opposed to removing a thread, where you wouldn't get a notification.

You mean if mods don't click the delete button but the post is considered as removed/hidden, then mods just use move button to the trashcan?
Also why this is not added in the modlog when the post is considered as deleted/removed, this may help other bots such as tryninja's to notify users when post/topic are trashed since there's no notification via PM happens.

I have noticed the same thing in the last 10-15 days, but I didn't check what was deleted and what threads were trashed. Since I didn't receive any PMs, I just figured that whole threads by some other members got trashed affecting the occasional posts I wrote there. But I only had 3 or 4 posts deleted if my memory serves me right.

Yeah, I noticed it too, 3 or 4 my post got deleted and I have no idea which ones exactly got deleted. Probably I wouldn't had noticed it, but now I'm getting very close from making my 10 000 post and then I got few posts more far away from making it.
It didn't happened for the first time, i past I also noticed same things few times. I also guess that just some old spam megathread got trashed.

I think this is the page you look for the deleted posts/topics.

Truly learn everyday, I wouldn't have known about this if I had not come across your reply. Used to think one's post can only be deleted for Spamming.

In that case, I would sincerely advice that you read the forum rules which you can find pinned at the top of this board. You are still relatively knew here and you should know that your posts can be deleted/trashed for any violation to any of the forum rules. Better be safe than sorry.
