A very good cut for the Bundesliga, IMHO. Of course, Mbappe and Haaland lead the ranking in terms of market value, but the Bundesliga still doesn't have to fear other European leagues.

As usual, I'm betting on FC Bayern again this weekend and of course I hope they're successful again. This weekend they play against Bayer Leverkusen, who are currently ranked 9th in the Bundesliga. So please keep your fingers crossed that FC Bayern wins and so does my bet. Has anyone else bet on FC Bayern this weekend?

Sorry for the late reply. Pretty sick development at FC Bayern.

I didn't expect them to sack Julian Nagelsmann that early. However, it's the right decision (IMHO). FC Bayern has lost 10 points to Dortmund since the winter break and you no longer had the feeling that Nagelsmann was making the team stronger. As a Bayern coach, it's not enough to get players to 95%. Rather, you are a moderator and coach at the same time. Perhaps Nagelsmann's time at Bayern simply came 10 years too early. He's still very young and you could tell that he had a hard time coaching the absolute top stars.

But maybe we'll see him as Bayern coach again in a few years. It's not like other great coaches haven't had a second chance at Bayern (Heynckes or Hitzfeld for example).

And yes to Thomas Tuchel there is not much to say: Absolute world class coach who will make Bayern even better. I think with him we may even expect (bigger) chances in the Champions League.

Uff, pretty excited tbh (especially as a big Bayern fan, haha). So far, the reactions to Tuchel seem to be very positive. If you read a little bit in the Bayern Forum (where usually many insiders post), the new coach also seems to be well accepted by the team.

Good to see the positive and smiling of face of one the greatest modern day German football tactician again. The confidence that Thomas Tuchel brings to any team he's managing is another reason why he flourishes wherever he goes.
Bayern Munich's decision to sack Julian Nagelsmann who only lost three games this season and hired Tuchel must be one of the toughest decisions that the club management has taken and I know he would want to repay the bravery of the club's heirarchy decision with finishing the season on an excellent note. Winning the UEFA Champions League this season will be the ultimate and best way to pay back the club's bravery decision and with Tuchel's established records, who will say that he can't do it? No one I guess

Yep, pretty likely and it looks like Thomas Tuchel is about to get some help from one of his former assistant coaches from Chelsea. The German Bild reports that FC Bayern is in contract talks with assistant coach Anthony Barry:

Then let's hope that Tuchel gets his desired assistant coach as soon as possible. Anyway, pretty crazy that now already transfer fees need to be paid for assistant coaches, lol.

fifa has imposed a transfer ban on bundesliga club 1. fc köln for the next two transfer periods, which means for the entire 2023/24 season.
the reason for this is a new signing made by the club at the beginning of 2022. at that time, the talented slovenian striker Jaka Cuber had transferred from olimpija ljubljana to cologne's youth department. cologne is said to have incited the then 16-yo to breach his contract so that no transfer fee would flow to the club he had left.
the ban is now legally binding. the only chance cologne still has is to appeal to the cas. furthermore, JC has now been banned for the next 4 months and the bundesliga club has to pay a €54000 fine to ljubljana.

I am already quite excited. Pretty likely, this will be the highlight of the season. First place against second and of course Thomas Tuchel against his old club. That sounds like a great football match with a lot of tension to me, haha.

It is clearly the main focus of the media highlighting the Bundesliga because the match between FC Bayern Munchen and Borussia Dortmund is a derby match which will show who deserves to be the leader of the standings after Bayern Munich were slipped last week by one point because Bayern Munich lost to Leverkusen with a score of 2 -1. And this match is to show Bayern Munich's first match under Thomas Tuchel, who has just replaced the previous coach, Negelsmann.
I also often bet on Bayern Munich, but it seems that right now I have doubts about Bayern Munich and I will bet on Dortmund.

I'm pretty excited to see whether FC Bayern can defend its lead in the Bundesliga against Mainz 05 on Saturday. In addition, Dortmund plays Frankfurt at home and on Sunday evening we will see a very close game (IMHO) when Bayer Leverkusen plays RB Leipzig. This one is all about the Champions League places.

Bundesliga Season 22/23 Recap:



Wow, what a season finale. Bayern really did it again and became Bundesliga champions once again. It's their 11th title in a row, sick.

Dortmund had all the chances, but really managed to lose the title with a 2:2 against Mainz 05 in the last minute.

Besides Bayern and Dortmund, RB Leipzig and Union Berlin (crazy!) qualify for the Champions League. The former Bundesliga giants Hertha BSC and Schalke 04 are relegated to the second division. This should make the 2. Bundesliga also extremely exciting next year. In the relegation round, two other Bundesliga veterans will meet, namely VfB Stuttgart vs. Hamburger SV.

In any case, we can be excited boys. The Bundesliga Season 23/24 will certainly be fun again. I will then adjust the title of this thread as soon as the transfer window for the new season begins. GG.

What do you think about people blaming Tuchel for nearly losing the Bundesliga title to Dortmund? Honestly I'm quite surprised to hear this kind of things because Tuchel hasn't had even a long time period with the team yet. Isn't it too harsh to criticize him in this way? I think that Tuchel doesn't have anything to do with this. He had such a short time period left in the remaining part of the season with high expectations from him.

In my opinion, Nagelsmann was replaced with Tuchel in the wrong time. That must be one of the reasons why the team decided to sack Salihamidzic and Kahn both. This is one of the features I like about Bayern Munich. The discipline level is always high which helps the problems become solved before the situation gets even worse.

We don't have any clue about next season yet but I believe Bayern Munich and Tuchel will have a good relationship. We can see the usual domination by them again especially in this league.

i don't think next season will be as exciting as the last one in terms of the battle for the championship...
but we can look forward to the two promoted teams, fc heidenheim and sv darmstadt.
especially for heidenheim, who are now the 57th club to complete a season in germany's top league it's going to be very exciting - we'll see what all the new season brings and whether we see another (third) promoted team in the form of hamburger sv

there are two new transfers in the bundesliga for the upcoming season...
namely Ramy Bensebaini moves on a free transfer from bor. mönchengladbach to the other borussia to dortmund and signs there a contract until june 2027.
and with Lois Openda, rb leipzig has found a successor for Christopher Nkunku, who moved to fc chelsea and was this year's top scorer. the belgian striker from french club rc lens scored 21 goals for the club in the past ligue 1 season. nothing has been announced yet about the duration of the contract as well as the transfer fee.
