Did Moloney already agreed to this match?

I think it's not making sense if he will disagree. There's no other way to acquire the vacant WBC Bantamweight title if he won't fight for it.

It's also an order from the WBC and they should follow it.

Moloney wants this match as he will get the chance to get a title, now that Inoue leaves the Bantamweight.

Donaire's retirement was postponed because Donaire feels that he can still box.

I think there's no plan for retirement Donaire even after losing to Inoue in his last fight. He believes he can still fight so he pushes for another fight. And it just happened that Inoue moved up weight giving him another opportunity to fight for the title match and fast forward, WBC ordered him as rank 2 and Moloney as rank 1 to fight for the title.

We will see in this match if Donaire can still fight on his usual and claim again another world title. If happened, he will be the older boxer to get a championship title.

Yeah, that's already what he's set for now.

To get the title that's vacated by Inoue and even if it's sad on his part that he can't beat Inoue but at least, the guy has already left the title and there's now his chance to take it and then retire.

Did Moloney already agreed to this match?

I read Nonito Donaire and Jason Moloney is ordered to fight for the vacant WBC title[1] and I believe both camp had agree on it though I don't know if they already signed the contract.I also watch that Moloney is trying to get the title without fighting Donaire but was caught by Donaire's camp that they are secretly conversing with the WBC [1] requesting them to elect Moloney as the champion without fighting Donaire.
If that's an order then there's no need for Moloney to just agree with it. But based from what I've read before, Donaire's camp is still waiting for the official yes of Moloney so I was just confused.

But, regardless of that if it's an order then he's in no shoe to disagree and decline the match. I'm looking for any news for an update but still found none.

Alright, I understand it now. Thanks guys!

Yeah, I agree, we didn't hear anything from him regarding retiring, on the contrary, he says that he will go doen to 115 lbs to fight Estrada. But that idea was obviously scrapped when Inoue moves up.

So this is another chance for him, he might chase history again as we want to be the oldest bantamweight against Moloney if they all agree about making this fight this year.

Definitely he could fight and you are right I think he will try a few more fights before he decided to retire it would actually be a good thing to happen to win a championship at 40 but honestly it's would be a little bit difficult as Moloney is younger and faster, if Donaire would won this match it would be either on split decision and not by KO/TKO this is going to be an interesting match let's see if Donaire can still show his "The Flash" moves.

It was just us, the fans who have been speculating about his retirement after the 2 consecutive losses that he's got with his attempt against Inoue.

They don't have to agree, it's an order from the organization so they should just start to sign and do the deal regardless of what they like. They may still disagree but we don't know the consequence for any of them whom will decline the match.

He needs to lose again for him to realize that it's time to retire. However, as a fan, we are not hoping he will lose but we are just trying to say the reality since Donaire is not getting any younger. An aging boxer will need more time to recover from a major injury, hopefully, he won't suffer that in case he loses this fight.

So this is another chance for him, he might chase history again as we want to be the oldest bantamweight against Moloney if they all agree about making this fight this year.

So this fight is not yet a done deal? can you enlighten me? why are you talking about the "agreement' of both fighters?

Donaire has proven to be a skilled and experienced fighter, thus he has a good chance of winning the battle against Moloney. However, past success does not ensure future success, and it remains to be seen how Donaire does against Moloney. It's critical to remember that each battle is unique, and anything can happen in the ring. Finally, only time will tell how this possible matchup unfolds.

Yes if we are basing on the experience then we can say that Donaire have the advantage here, but in real fight not just the experience but also the technique and strategy of the fighter are the main bases of the winners so both fighters are preparing thier best strat to counter and attack thier opponent so without a doubt this is a good and very close fight as we all know that both fighters are doing goos in thier careers.

If this fight materialized then the best way for Donaire to beat Moloney is by KO/TKO. It will be hard for a 40-year-old fighter to win rounds en route to a decision victory. Donaire is not the Flash anymore according to his last fights. So Moloney will be the quicker fighter and will be winning rounds. While Donaire will wait for the counters or use his patience and timing to catch Moloney with his powerful hooks. My bet is Donaire by KO/TKO. The only way Donaire wins a decision against the younger Moloney is by knocking him down and hurting him several times and forcing the Australian into survival mode.

Donaire still has the timing as he age, so his counter will be his best weapon, I think he is called Flash because of his super counter punching specially that left. And so he still possesses that at this stage of his career and very important weapon even if his opponent his much faster that him.

The ring IQ as well, that's why he had beaten a lot of good boxers because he knows how he will set them up, with his fake and feints. So I will agree that it's possible that he can win by KO/TKO after round 5 here.

I got the same thought as well because Nonito Donaire is not that fast anymore like we used to see in the past and it's already evident enough that he's not that unpredictable already because his dad-days are already catching up with him and that also means that it's not good for Donaire to reach 10 rounds or a full 12-round fight because his stamina is not the same anymore like in the old days and that might give Moloney an advantage.

We will see in this match if Donaire can still fight on his usual and claim again another world title. If happened, he will be the older boxer to get a championship title.

If Moloney will use that strategy then the winning chance of Donaire is slim, I agree that his dad-days is already affecting him and with that advantage Moloney can just do some Jabs and stay away from him.

He can just throw solid combinations and leave Donaire to chase him to try boxing him, the
only thing here is Moloney is also known to enjoy confrontations, a toe-to-toe action will give
Donaire a better chance of winning.

Donaire is a counter puncher fighter so if his opponent keep attacking him  but those punches are not enough to take down Donaire then if he found a way for a good shots then for sure a big Chance of winning weaving in the end. But if Moloney fight like Inoue that has speed and solid punches then Donaire need to prepare as we all know that is the weakness of Donaire . For now for this fight both fighter will train harder and have a good strategy.

Donaire is still a good boxer but there’s still no guarantee to win here as he is facing a great boxer again at a younger age. If this will push through, both boxer will train accordingly to meet the requirements, I’m rooting for Donaire here because this might be his last chance to get another belt and reclaim his title. If Donaire will still be an active and aggressive puncher here, there’s a good chance for him to win but TKO might not be possible.

Experience does have the edge as we all know, not only limited on boxing but also in other sports as well on which it would really be that relevant but we know that everything would fall down into skills and technique of a certain boxer.
We do know that Donaire could still make up some good fight specially on that recent fight against Inoue on which he do still make out some good fight but not that enough on beating up Inoue.
We cant say that Moloney isnt as good as Inoue but we've seen that this opponent is really indeed capable and no doubt that this would really be a good fight to watch on.

If Donaire plays the same from his last 5 fights, he's gonna dominate Moloney. But if he show's rust, I'm afraid he's gonna struggle to win against Moloney, because he's (Moloney) also have a good speed and agility, and he's also got a tough chin, though it didn't worked with Inoue as he's in a different level lol.
I think, this is gonna be a good fight though.

Update:

Jason Moloney has withdraw from this fight, so this fight is cancelled.

Quote
“The WBC has received confirmation from Top Rank that [Moloney] will not be fighting for The WBC bantamweight title,” WBC president Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed to the teams for both boxers via official letter, a copy of which was obtained by BoxingScene.com. “With this letter the process of [Moloney] vs Donaire is hereby cancelled."

Too bad for Moloney to not have a chance for the belt because of the 'war' between his promoter Top Rank and Nonito's Probellum.

Because Bob Arum thinks that the company, Probellum has ties with Irish Mob boss Daniel Kinahan. So let's see what route Donaire will take in order to have another belt in his waist.

Thanks for the update and wasnt expecting for it to be ending up on being cancelled due to that involvement of Kinahan.
Im wondering on how these two do make out conflicts and i had fully understand on one of the reasons
https://www.irishmirror.ie/sport/other-sport/boxing/bob-arum-claims-daniel-kinahan-26722907

So Donaire would be finding ways on how to set up fight on getting other belt which same as you said.Hope that they would be
able to set out for this year.

For now since this fight is cancelled, then thread should be locked.

That's okay, whether he losses or wins then he does have to do what he gotta do. He's still got that power and yeah, we're not hoping that he'll lose. Those fans of his want him to win and let's see if he can get to win on who's ever going to be his opponent.

This doesn't sound good. We're all expecting that Moloney will have no problem on this one. Who's going to be the potential match-up then if Moloney is already out for the match? Too much politics we've got nowadays even in the high ranking officials inside the big boxing organizations and promotions.
