I transferred some TRX to my blockchain.com account and everything worked.  Thinking that I can follow with transferring some USDC on Tron to the same TRX address.  the transaction is successful according to tronscan.org, but it does not show up in blockchain.com website.

I chatted with them, and realized that they do not support USDC on Tron.  This is what they told me as to how get my USDC back:  "You will need to import your ETH Private Key to a wallet that supports USDC TRC Network."

I used trustwallet application and imported the private key, but it shows nothing.  It seems that the private key is only for ethereum.

what am I missing?   what can I do to pull y USDC money out?  is there another wallet that can help in this issue?

thanks

First of all, this board is completely irrelevant for the topic you have created. You should have created this topic in Altcoin Discussion. From your conversation with their customer support, i assume that there was a misunderstanding. Of course if you import Ethereum private key in TrustWallet, you won't find your USDC on the Tron network.

Beside that, i'm also confused about what they say, isn't Blockchain.com a custodial platform? that means you can't get a private key to directly access your assets, right? if what i said is true, the only way to get your USDC back is to ask them to manually send the USDC to your wallet address.

Additional information for you, if you want to deposit USDC on the Tron network, so far only a few platforms support it, such as Bibox, Bitmart, CoinEx, Cointiger, Gate.io, Kucoin, LBank, MEXC, WhiteBit, ZB and Huobi.

From my understanding of this[1], Blockchain wallet does not support TRX or any TRC token outside of the trading account, which doesn't allow you to access your private keys.

Their advice also makes no sense, AFAIK, Tron is not an EVM chain. The only way to retrieve the funds would be to export the Tron address private keys, and not Ethereum's address which as I mentioned, doesn't seem like it's possible to do.

Isn't it possible to retrieve the TRON private keys using a backup phrase retrieved from the blockchain.com wallet?

I am trying to access my blockchain.com wallet to confirm this, but unsuccessful right now.

Base on his post the TRX transfer is successful so the linked article might outdated.

About OP's issue, their suggestion makes no sense at all, first you transfer USDC TRC20 to them, second Tron or any of its token isn't chained or connected to ethereum or any of its token so importing makes no sense, third importing private keys is irrelevant to your problem unless they explained what's the use of it.

The only solution is, to send back the USDC on one of your TRC20 wallet.

Last, you should be very careful when sending crypto transfer, always double and triple check things (wallet address, supported coins on any exchange, right address for every coin, etc.) before you proceed.

If you transfer your tokens to the wrong network then I am afraid it cannot be recovered, if blockchain.com does not support USDC on Tron then you must have used the wrong network.

Also their advice: "You will need to import your ETH key into a wallet that supports the USDC TRC network." It makes no sense in my opinion, because you say USDC tokens are on the Tron network and that has nothing to do with importing an ETH key at all.

Also, since you sent your tokens, they are no longer in your wallet, and I don't think you will gain anything from importing your private keys to another wallet.

Sounds like they are suggesting the same thing. They might implicitly suggest that they use the same seed to generate many addresses on different networks, so as long as OP has it, he can still recover it (like what Trust Wallet or other multichain wallet works). However, it contradicts their support page. OP probably interact with somebody who doesn't really understand the difference between how their network works, or the support page is inaccurate, so that's that. CMIIW.

That being said, OP, by "nothing", did you mean you already add USDC (Tron) token and it does not show on your wallet, or did you just use the default tokens list and see nothing there?

It shouldn't be possible. I logged in to check whether the article I linked above was outdated or not and apparently, it's not. The receive  button (to my "private keys wallets") in my Blockchain account has multiple cryptocurrencies, but Tron is not one of them.

Yeah, I think I now understand the mistake OP made. Hey made a transfer of TRON directly to his tron address of the Blockchain.com trading account, and everything was fine. Without taking any extra precautions, he then transferred USDC TRC20 into the same TRON address not knowing they don't support it.

In otherwords, his mistake is similar to someone who sends unsupported tokens to an exchange. The person behind customer support seems to be clueless, but it's only blockchain.com that can help him recover the funds if they want, since they own the private keys.
