I am in strange trouble at the moment. I am logged in my browser but i have forgotten the password.
I will remain login as long as i don't logout. Is there any way i can recover my password ?

Is this the account you're talking to? If yes, then just create a new one. If not, i don't know either, why the hell you forgot those information in the very first place. Anyway, try your luck messaging Cyrus or the recovery team^[1] to recover your account.

It seems he is talking about the account he used to create this topic, this is a very funny case, i see even in the link you provided, the 2 ways to recover the account still require an email, and he also lost his email.

It's better for you to create a new account than to think about how to recover this account.

You can change your email address to a new one.
To do so, go to your profile, click "Account Related Settings" under "Modify Profile" at left side of the page and enter your new email address.
Once you change your email address, an email will be sent to your old email address. The email includes a link which can be used for locking the account and will work for 14 days.
If no one has access to the old email address, this can be solution for you.

Edit:
Sorry. I didn't know it's not possible to change the email address if you don't know your password. So, what I suggested above can't work for OP.

If you write down any Bitcoin address publicly and can sign a message from it, you may be able to recover your account, even if it is an altcoin address.

Otherwise, try your luck by sending information that only the account owner knows, and then it will be a long process to recover your account.

How can the OP change it as long as he doesn't remember his current password. Any changes to Account Related Settings require password when you want to save changes. OP should probably check if the browser he's using is set to offer password saving, if it hasn't then I think he needs to enable it. But about cases like this, I have no experience. There must be a way to save him.

The forum tries as much as possible to mimick how bitcoun operates in privacy and autonomy. You are mean to back up your passwords, so you can always access your account. You can also use a throwaway email provider when creating your account.

You can safely create a new account since you were not banned (presumably) and learn how to properly secure your account.

You are in a dilemma, it’s impossible to change one’s email address without the current password to the account. You can try to reset password if you have a secret question set. The other way to do this is to check your saved passwords on your browser or device, it should be there since you’re automatically logged in each time you access the forum. I think that’s your best option at the moment.

Don't you have an email attached to the forum? Cus everyone does.... You could actually check your BTT password from your saved passwords on your email -- this process will only a biometric and email-passcode verification, then it'll reveal 'em to you.
I'm really seeing a huge risk or process if you actually don't have an access to your email account's passcode... Cus you're gonna get logged in but it will definitely be required on the long run.

There is always the possibility of forgetting the password because this OP is still newbie.
The OP also registered his account with random email for whatever reason, and of course I don't think he really wants to use this account on regular basis.

Then I can say that 3 to 4 months (the bare minimum of active state changes) is long time not to forget random password or any combination password, that's because the OP didn't backup or save them in the browser (probably they should).

About last active time, if you try to log in your account, even it is failed, you will have an active status at the point of time. I am not sure about woke up but maybe it is shown only a member successfully log in his account, not failed.

It shows up if a user has logged in with their last login time being at least 6 months ago.

I assume that OP already log in to his account but forgot the password, yes --if you will log out from the current browser that you have used you will not recover it anymore because you don't have access to your email, go to ^{[Account Related Settings]} and change your email, it will perhaps work.
If I were you OP, don't make things complicated, create another account since this your current account does not have activities and did not rank up ^{[newbie status]} --buy copper membership if needed to bypass newbie's restrictions such as posting images.

Yes I also think that way as he is not having any access like to his mails and don't know the password and moreover he has not staked the address so that he can verify by signing a message from that address and under these cases it's impossible to get the account back.Moreover as pointed above he just ask this after long period of inactivity which arises suspicion even more and newbie account which doesn't have anything special associated with it why he wants to recover it? But in any case I don't find any ways to have account recovery but he can try once.

What browser you are using because you might click save password on your account when you sign in to your browser. Try go on the settings>save password and check for Bitcointalk.org account info. There’s no way to recover it using bitcointalk feature because it needs password to do any changes on your account settings. Your best chance is to check your browser if you save the data of your account when you login since browser always ask to save password the moment you login using the account that is still not saved.

It’s very unusual to forget the password right after you login but I do understand you if you are using too complex password.

So far I've tried several ways to see how it works to get the OP to get the password, but all of them seem to be useless since normally the browser only asks once at login to save the password or not. So there's no other way, but what's the point of getting the newbie account password since basically the OP could just make more other accounts and leave this one without fuss.
