As long as it's not the "Pokerstars Deep Stack structure", which takes like 15 hours+, I am fine with any structure, haha. It would be best to have a structure that requires a maximum of 3-4 hours for each tournament. For a deeper structure we probably lack the participants.

Game mode should actually be clear - NLH (No Limit Hold'em)

The previous Bitcointalk poker tournaments were always No Limit Hold'em, right? I would keep it that way tbh, because NLH is the game that usually attracts the most users. PLO and other variants are also very exciting, but these probably attract significantly fewer participants.

One thing that could be change is structure... In the last series time between blinds was not enough and after 1 hour of the game it was all about luck and not skills. Also quite interesting when will it start approximately?

I think 7-8 min is the best option for the tournaments like that...

I hope to join this tournament, first time for me, me only problem can be the time but i will try to accommodate me. I dont suggest any special hour because i live in Argentina and its like -3GMT and most of you live in another time zone, so decide you the time because always we can have trouble if you ask anyone for this.

1 mbtc for me its fine, and for the time running i suggest the same as above, please not so long tournaments at least in the qualys, but a 4 hours tournament its fine.

Who's giving odds on how many of the I'm in guys in this thread are no shows? I would probably gamble on that based on past series. I'm also a bit butthurt that some might've been pmed where I was left out being as I participated in all the past series.

Thanks for the PM. Finally a new Bitcointalk Poker Series. Awesome. Since I have already played in several poker tournaments on Bitcointalk in the past and always had a lot of fun, I would of course also participate in this series (if my time allows it).

And yea you're probably right, but playing a complete series is different from a single event. If the dates don't fit you (e.g. if you have to work on Sundays), there is not much you can do. Therefore, let's stay positive. The more attention this thread gets, the more users will sign up in the end.

Especially @cygan and Icarus really deserve a good boost, after the yogg drama.

Wasn't it also the Betnomi Series, where unfortunately many promised people never showed up? Especially stupid for the organizers - in that case it was you, if I remember correctly.... 

I don't want to use it as an excuse, but for me the problems with the client were just too extreme.

• Check: I think that the discussion in relation to schedules, stack, and the etcetera that is generated around this topic,  have there is a lot of previous discussion, 7 series have passed, then at least they should have released tentative date and time, that way to have a starting point (already known due to the previous series)
• Raised: Two tournaments every Sunday and the first 4 in each tournament go directly to the final, an eventual 9th place, is the wild card to the best of those two tournaments using the well-known award of points. This has nothing to do with the distribution of money or the ITM that is generated by the concept of records.
• RR:So, 3 games are scheduled every month, with the option of playing at least two.

and on the second point i agree with you completely. first everyone shouts 'here, here' and when it comes to the start, half of them are missing (of course this is also due to the different time zones)
but the start time is now almost fixed and still there will be cancellations...

As for the structure, I don't think there is room for experimenting.. what we had was the simplest possible and what suits the majority of players. So I don't have some suggestions about it, I'm sure it will be interesting to play with some of you guys again, regardless of the tournament structure... I am definitely in!

Posting before reading all of the thread in case I would forget about this and then it's too late.

My suggestion:

0.005BTC "main" buy-in that goes to prize pool for finalists in total (added to the final week basically if we do points like in the past).
0.0025BTC "weekly" buy-in that is added to the prizepool on each weekly gameday so to speak.

NL Holdem with 1 rebuy throughout the series (I read about the 4 week setup which would make this nice). This way you may not ever have to rebuy or perhaps you can clinch a final spot in the 3rd week with that rebuy if it has not been used prior. 1 Hour or so should be enough.

10-15 minute rebuys with not too deep of a stack (5k would be perfect, 10k is fine).

The above would be my dream scenario and I know splashing out 0.0075BTC the first week is not for everyone but I think we could garner some decent interest either way!

Also, I suck at poker but I'll put a prize on my head each week to the tune of 0.015BTC which means that if you take me out in any of the weeks you are basically freerolling the rest of the tournament.

Oh, but that would be expensive. But I'm not sure whether it might not be too high and fewer people would play along as a result. With such a high stake, I wouldn't be sure if I'd be there. I'm just not a good poker player and for me this tournament would be just too expensive to have a little fun. 
There's supposed to be more than one series, right? If so, could you do a high stakes series and a low stakes series? So there would be something for everyone. Or what do the rest of you say?

Well, I would play anyway, but to be honest, I'm not sure there will be enough players for 1 table with that buy-in.

This is my first time of seeing this poker tournament games, I have not noticed it before looking at the features and the characteristics of the series it will be fun to partake in the tournament.  You don't have to be hurt, you are always welcome to the tournament to have fun. And you were not left out, you are always in, they have welcome you onboard.

This is my first time of seeing this poker tournament games, I have not noticed it before looking at the features and the characteristics of the series it will be fun to partake in the tournament.  You don't have to be hurt, you are always welcome to the tournament to have fun. Oops! Damn it! I think I was too tired when I read the post. I thought he meant 0.005 BTC per game. Sorry for the mix up. For all games together it would probably be ok. I think I have to have a coffee first thing in the morning and then write. Then that doesn't happen anymore.
