This is the first I’m reading of this poker tournament! When does it start I don’t see the date stated clearly anywhere. I’d love to join.

So far the tourney is only in the discussion stage, nothing has been set in stone as far as I know. I think they have agreed on Sundays as the starting day and that's really about all that has been decided. A few other things have been discussed and any new info will be posted here when finalized. Just keep an eye on this thread.

the poker cards are finally finished and you can see the result below. you can see 4 different colors of these cards.
the white one will be given to all participants of the final table, the bronze one to the third, the silver one to the second and the golden one to the winner of the respective tournament.

Sweeet! These Icarus cards look extremely cool @cygan. Pretty good job.   


I saw that there is already some info about the buyin and the tournaments details. Is there any info on the blind structure? I saw it's a 8k starting stack with 8-minute levels. Is it the usual Betnomi blind structure, I linked below?

My balance on Betnomi is in LTC. I can also use this to enter the tournament, right? I mean, it's calculated in $ and not in BTC?!? Or only BTC works?

You can use any crypto for buy-ins, as you mentioned everything is calculated in $,€...

Thanks for the enlightenment. I just wasn't sure as I've only played poker free rolls on Betnomi so far. Would have annoyed me if I had missed a game because of that.

i think as soon as the dates are fixed all participants can register for the respective rounds.
actually everything important is already listed (in my second post). the only thing we are all still waiting for are the actual dates

I had been observing the 2nd post in this thread which is why I asked the questions I had asked. I think everyone having all the possible info let's them make a better choice as to if they can/want to participate in the series.

Fantastic. The structure is quite fast, but it should be adequate for a small tournament like ours.

Please announce the appropriate dates early so that everyone can plan their weekends.

If it should start already this Sunday (since it will be the first Sunday in March), the official announcement comes quite late. So it's probably going to start a little later, right?

That structure actually looks great. Maybe you can adjust blind structure to 12 minutes level or something a little slower than 8 minutes at the FT.

I am not checking this thread regularly and the bot seems to only let me track 4 at a time, right?

depends on which words you have defined in the bot, so that it informs you
if it is only the word 'Icarus' and your username, then it may well be that you have been triggered only 4 times

Not the worst option. The price pools are actually not bad. Betnomi isn't the biggest poker platform of course, but the Sunday and Monthly tournaments are quite interesting. And you can always multitable on another platform.

In my personal experience, I have tried their tournaments and was lucky in some of them, once I join to an $8 tournament for $1k and in with $120 profit. And I got 7th place on a $10k tournament for $200 profit, so, it has been a good option for me in the past.

I like the KO feature in their tournaments, the fact that you win each time you take out a user is awesome and I haven't seen that in other crypto poker sites.

I feel like it's time to decide the date of the tournament, some of us really want it asap.

KO tournaments are fantastic. This poker series should be KO as well, it would be much more interesting, especially cause we know each other from here. But for people who organize games (we had discussions about KO games before) this is just another complication, and I am not sure that all people like KO. Anyway, we had something similar in the past series... Hampuz gave an example, special bounties for kicking out some players.

The tourney is already announced in the lobby, but I think they will change the date as it said that tourneys must be on Sundays.
