Still only 8 of us registered currently. Question for next weekend. It's Easter weekend and many may have plans with their families, are we pausing for a week or still planning on running the tourney same day and time?

i have also thought about this and now that i look at the last posts from you (and i personally would also be for a break on 09-04) i suggest that we should take a break on this date (easter sunday) and then it continues on 16-04 with the third tournament

Probably a good decision. I wouldn't want people taking time away from family to play in a poker tourney so pausing seems like the best action IMO.

2nd round of the series and we are already losing players due to various reasons . Yep its an irony of poker in this forum because most people seems to lose interest pretty fast or either couldnt make it because they need to spend hours to play. Glad that this series is only 4 rounds in total, it would have been total disaster if we had stick with 8 rounds

13 and the late registration is closed now, let's see how it goes, I hope to do a better job this time, in the past tourney I got out in last place, so, this time I will not Yolo and play it smart.

Even with 13 players the prize pool isn't bad at all, we are talking about $260 divided for the first 3 places, the first one gets 50% the second one 30% and the 3rd 20%. So, let's chase those spots.

Yes i'm complaining. I always lose in these spots and it's pretty gross. Add in the million disconnects and the aggravation isn't worth it.

This is my main issue with these tournaments too, unfortunately.. People are playing as if it's a freeroll tournament and as such you can't expect much serious play (it doesn't have to be serious). People will say that $20 is a threshold as we will not see many participants otherwise but there's probably enough degens around here to fill as many spots in a $100-$250 tournament, which would be a bit more fun for me to partake in.

I also "missed" today, but in reality I didn't feel like committing a couple of hours to this. Absolutely no hate towards cygan or icopress, you're great for hosting this! Just a personal thing.

What would be great would be if you run something like this one, where the top prize would be one entry to that $200-$300 game. Like a satellite tourny, perhaps more would join too.

Another suggestion I had, what if instead of making it pay to play on-site you (or whoever organizes it) would collect funds here and hold throughout the tournament and we do play-money tournaments with password protection? Just speaking for myself but sometimes if I open up a casino I get a big block stating "Your country is not allowed to use this service" - could potentially scare away some users from depositing.

Edit; Just throwing ideas around here. Believe you me I love playing poker even though I suck, I have been playing it for money since I was 13 and having one series on here succeed and run long-term would be amazing!

What a hand my friend, I lose half of my stack with KK vs A's... I didn't think darxiaomi had the as, and after that, I had top pair with J as kicker and darxiaomi take me out with the same top pair but with A's as the kicker.  And even if I lose I had a lot of fun with him, I was even joking in the chat about putting a price on his KO and stuff like that, and for me it was about having a nice time with the community.

But I got your point guys, for $20 buy-in people don't take it that seriously, I could debate if AK is a hand to go all in, from my point of view yes it is(¹). And feels bad to lose with KK, but that's how poker works. I hope we have better luck this time.

Yes sorry! I guess that was me. I didn't expect you to actually call the all-in from me. I thought you were bluffing and I was trying to steal your bet. Never thought I'd win the hand. But luck was unfortunately on my side. Sure, that wasn't good poker playing on my part, but I'm not very good at poker per se either. Sorry it went like this.

Let me educate you if I may.

1. There are tons of people who think like you do and will shove AK all in. IMO it's a drawing hand and while I want to see a flop with it, I do not believe it's worth my whole stack. At least not preflop. If you run into AA or something like that, you just threw away your whole tourney on that 1 hand.

2. When a person puts 30% or more of their stack in preflop, they're most likely calling an all in. So, there is no stealing at that point.

3. Had you just called my raise and seen a flop, I think you would have been justified to go allin after the flop since you had a nut flush draw. Likely I would still have called with a 6 high board and if I put you on a draw you only had a 30% chance to hit it. Pretty easy call for me.

You guys chips are yours to play however you want, but I'm just not into flipping $20 bills with people at this stage in my life as I obviously don't have it to waste right now. I think I'm a decent player and should be able to beat this field consistently, but lot's play no foldem holdem or Bingo and makes it tough. As Hhampuz said, it's treated like a freeroll due to alot not knowing what they're doing or just wanting to enjoy a game with the community. I'm not mad at anyone period. You play however you want. I'm mad I am not winning the flips when they count and I am well ahead.

It's quite disappointing to lose that bet after you won the first one and waited for one week to see the other result.

That feels worst when the first bet you made had higher odds and still won, while the other bet where there was bit more probability of Man. United winning was lost. To keep your side safe, it's also good to make 3 bets in total where if you win the first single bet and lost the second single as well as the accumulator, you are still in profit (if all the bets made were equal in value).
